As of 12:05pm Las Vegas time, it appears that several of the shows are not off to a strong start from a sales standpoint (according to Ticketmaster searches).
Seems that maybe MetLife and Soldier Field are capable of supporting a second day but there are a lot of tickets in the northeast between there, Philadephia, Boston, and of course Washington DC is only a few hours away by car. Didn't check Boston's sales but it seems that Philly still has a lot of seats remaining.
Armchair concert promoters out there, do you think the price point is too high?

Yeah I mean since dizzys hands could be tied up I'm sure she'll be put to use there. Hey at least we're getting coma..
On a side note @Eddie Money, where's Izzy?
I would like to see Izzy tonight too, but I doubt we'll see. i will probably know a few hours before the show. I'll tell you that my insiders claim that he was going to be involved, but that was before the quiet period when I wasn't dropping any news.
I suspect that negotiations went poorly and Izzy will end up being the Don Felder of this tour. There were plans for Steven to be a part of the first shows to see how things went but I'm not sure what's going on there and have no idea if he really hurt himself or if someone is trying to cover up the rumor spread by the guy in his current band.
It would have been great to see the Appetite guys playing a few songs together with no keyboards. Maybe we'll get that at some point.
Fuck it... It's day of show and the stage background looks cool as hell and they're going to be rocking one of my favorite songs, Coma I hope the teleprompters are working tonight because Axl's going to have trouble remembering the lyrics to that one

Fine you're one of like 5 people that like female pitman. Congrats
But will she play the heartbeat and heart monitor device on Coma? I'm really looking forward to hearing that live

Nice event tonight. The guy in the Axl costume was on point and there was an attractive young woman following him around with nice, beautiful breasts (don't be offended. it's a compliment and should be treated as such). The lead singer gets all the hot chicks I guess.
I met a couple of you. I introduced myself to one woman who then asked me if I was the Belgian guy. Perhaps I look like him, but I'm not him
Question:. Is the Gnr exhibit cool? Is there only one in Excallibur or are they in all MGM-Mirage hotels?

Okay. I need a little help here. My ticket hook-ups were good for Friday night only. I like Vegas and think I want to stay out there for a second night. Do any of you guys know anyone selling lowers to the Saturday show (at close to face value)? I need 3 this time.
Mesesage me if you are ready to discuss a transaction. Thank you.

No, it's just a bar in the center of the casino
Ok. I think I know which one you're talking about. There's often a band in there playing Don't Stop Belivin' over and over.

Eddy do you know of any secret/extra shows in between dates? Like hammerstein or terminal 5 before the metlife stadium date?
I don't think anything like that is confirmed yet and will likely be last minute if planned. I would like to go back to Hammerstein. I caught the last of the four shows in 2006, the one where Kid Rock and Izzy appeared. We had a lot of fun. Nearly got thrown out for smoking in the balcony bathroom.

Did Pitman's firing have anything to do with his comments on social media these last few months?
Izzy guest performances sound awesome! hope it happens.
Pretty much the other way around with Pittman. The comments were basically his real-time reactions to being eliminated from the tour.

Fan meet-up at the Center bar at New York, New York at 10:30 PM on Thursday, April 7th. Would love to see you there!
Great. Is that the same thing as The Bar at Times Square with the dueling pianos?

how close were you on the dates? did you hear anything about the new keyboardist before it happened? is there any word on why there izzy and steven and matt aren't involved details? are you going to the vegas meetup?
I had Toronto, Chicago, New Orleans, Mexico City and Las Vegas, but missed on Dallas and Boston I think. The initial plans I saw were for more dates to occur right after coachella. All I knew about the keyboard situation was that Pittman was no longer a part of the tour but didn't know they had actually replaced him. I still think we will see Izzy and believe the Twitter communication was a money play that hasn't seemed to work out yet. I have no way of knowing for sure, but it seems plausible that Izzy could end up joining the band for one-off guest performances.
Each time I spoke with my source in the past month, she gave me very little info so I limited my questions to tour date discussions.
Not sure about the meet up. Where is it? I last saw you guys talking about ordering beer and pizzas to someone's hotel room. I'm not up for that but would be interested in meeting up at a bar somewhere.

schedules look pretty tight not sure if they can squeeze dates in- like 3 days between each event
Yes, this schedule seems to only allow second nights in Chicago, Boston, New York, and Phoenix. When is the big LA show going to be? That's the question I have. I haven't heard but there appears to be room between Phoenix and San Deigo but maybe they'll do something big at the end of the year like a massive New Year's Eve show (only wishful thinking Mr Buchannan, don't publish this in Alt Nation).

I want to see footage. My daughter had a violin recital last night in the valley and we had family in town from New York.
Otherwise, I would have been there to check out this new player on the keys! See you in Vegas and Mexico City.

Eddie Money says CD songs, so I'm going in expecting some CD songs. Plus, TIL and TWAT are the songs I really wanna hear Slash on, and Axl usually does pretty well on them. Throw Think About You in there anyway just cuz I've never heard it live (heard OTGM in 2010). If anything they can swap Bad Apples for Breakdown
Any reports on how those CD songs sounded last night?

Don't know yet. My management team are reviewing th contract now!
Actually, my votes are The Darkness for most of the tour and Chris Stapleton for Orlando, ATL, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, and KC. Chris Stapleton is one of my favorite singers right now. He's unconventional for a rock audience but I think he would be a great opener in a strong country market

I may have gotten some dates wrong and I apologize if I caused you to go to Dallas for no reason at the end of May. I think my info was pretty accurate for Chicago, Toronto, and New Orleans, Mexico City, and Vegas at least. I clearly had info on old plans and it seems some of the dates moved around. You'll see second dates for some of those cities if the tour sells well.
In any case.... who's ready for 2 tickets to paradise city? I sure as hell am. See you all in Vegas, Mexico City, Atlanta, Boston, New Orleans, and San Diego.

@Eddie Money Hey man i'm sure you've been inundated with questions etc, but firstly I really appreciate the effort you're going to to let us all in on the stuff you know, so thanks!
Was just wondering though, if you had any info whatsoever on Australia/NZ dates?
Cheers!
Thanks. February / March 2017 would be a logical guess but I don't know for sure.

That's why i don't think an insider status is important
and that is the bottom line
Honestly, i don't get this hype around "ZOMG we know something earlier that will be announced at the right time" type thing is a big deal really
Of course as GNR being handled, these form of news becomes the only "early" source, because they choose "let the mistery going on" strategy (which is moronic in so many ways)
Tbh, i don't care if your reports become true or not, it had zero impact on my "GNR experience" or my life. I do understand that a lot of forumers wants news (myself included) We've had so many liars that you NEVER sure who and what is legit until you saw/hear with your own two eyes/ears
That was my point
10/9 "insiders" are doing this fro attention whoring. If you are the ONE who is the exception then good for you
edit: i just saw your signature: Alternative Nation Contributor
I lol'd
I don't really need the online attention. I'm just a long time fan who likes to go to the shows. I've seen them play live in 7 different countries and would like travel the world to see this tour if it ends up being good (Axl's voice holding up etc). I like giving other fans the info I receive in case they want to make use of it for trip planning or just for the sake of following their favorite band like they would their favorite sports team.
Yes, I found it funny that Mr Buchannan at Alt Nation was using my posts for his GNR stories so I created the signature line.

You think that argument would fly for either Duff or Slash? If either approached Axl with this argument, shit would go down. You got to be realistic here. It's also a part of Slash and Duff being forthcoming to Axl. As a bonus, Slash has said that he actually thought the album was quote "very good", and specifically also mentioned the title track, which as rumours ( I think it was actually eddie money) say was one of the 2 songs they've rehearsed so far. But most of all you gotta realise this: Axl didnt spend a decade working on songs just to completely dismiss them later on like they never existed
I didn't specify which songs because I don't know. I would rather them play more UYI tunes.

Still not on board with CD songs being played. Those were Axl's solo project just like Duff's and Slash's.. There is no difference between them playing a CD song and a Conspirators songs IMO.
But of course to Axl, those are GNR songs. I guess I'm just happy that large American audiences will get to hear a couple of the CD tunes.

do you know if the Texas shows are scheduled to happen before or after the NOLA date?
I still believe the Arlington/AT&T Stadium show will be the end of May. Not sure about Houston. I think it is later.

Sir,
July 31 New Orleans @ Superdome. You will see some of the other dates happen as well. You saw two nights in Vegas, you saw Mexico City announced next. You will see Chinese Democracy songs on the tour and a new management team running the tour as an oversight committee. At this rate, you should take me to Vegas to help you play blackjack before the shows if guessing is what my specialty is.
There are other things that I cannot share because some of the stuff I know, if made public could compromise strategic negotiations. If any dates I have previously shared end up being incorrect, it's because at the time I shared them, they were only on tentative hold anyway.

Kaneda's 25 Years in The Making Vegas Review
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Posted
Good review, sir.
What a great weekend! I'm with you about the GN'R shirts everywhere. I love it. I'm at the airport now and about 15 or 20 ppl at my gate are wearing their shirts. I feel like I just attended a Guns N' Roses annual convention of sorts where 30,000 or more fans gathered to all be a part of this big moment. The band should consider playing here every year until they completely hang it up.
Im excited about everything to come in this next chapter. I'm skipping coachella. Not my scene but if any of you are going to be in Ciudad de Mexico next week. Hit me up.
Long live Guns N' Fucking Roses.
