    I might just do it.

You also might be spending too much time in Memphis.  One day should be enough to see everything you need to see in that place.  Nashville is nice and New Orleans is one of the most interesting places in the US.  It seems like you'll be renting a car - you can check out Graceland on your way out of town as you head down I-55 to New Orleans.  Again, not much to see at Graceland either.

What is the lineup going to be? We know Duff, Slash, and Axl but what about Matt/Steven, Izzy/Gilby, Dizzy/Pittman, etc. And will this "reunion" play the new GnR songs like "Better" or "Prostitute" or "Catcher in The Rye" etc?

I can confirm that CD era songs will be played on this tour - at least 2 songs.

  3. There's a possibility for two shows in the big markets but they're waiting to see how ticket sales go for theses first shows.  I agree with you.  It seems very ambitious and to sell that many tickets consistently, they're going to need to ramp up a PR campaign. We can't have the same ole/same ole from Axl. The other guys have shown a willingness to market their projects in recent years.

  4. You know everyone, it's kind of difficult to provide a tentative list because my information comes in the form of conversation.  I have nothing in writing and it seems like they are keeping things close to the vest so to speak.  It sounds like this is going to be a straight-up North American tour through mid-september though.

I've been out gardening and playing ping pong all day - how did Mexico City sell?

    Not great for me.

I´ll be coming from the UK. I'll be in Chicago for a few days and then will drive south. This is my itinerary:

    3 May    Nashville
    4 May    Memphis
    5 May    Memphis
    6 May    New Orleans
    7 May    New Orleans
    8 May    New Orleans
    9 May    New Orleans

Eddie, please tell me I´ll be lucky.

You better take a couple detours.

@Eddie Money, anything like Indianapolis  or Nashville (or even St. Louis or Cincinnati) in the works?

Trying to determine if Chicago will be the closest or (hopefully) not...

    I@Eddie Money, how about Detroit?

I still don't know for sure.

Chicago might not be the closest but it would definitely be the most fun for a summer weekend trip with your pals/mates/ sig other etc.  Go to GNR and then head up to Mil-wau-kee (algonquin for fertile land) for their annual Summer Fest.

I was thinking a late summer tour...but if it's as early as May, then they surely can't sit on the info for much longer...

Any rumblings on the week of the Toronto date?

July 16 with option for second show on July 17 - Agreement is not signed for either date yet.

  8. Mexico City would be a great place to get a first stadium experience.  Big stadium, crazy fans, cool city.  Also, if you book flights now they'll be inexpensive from many places in the US as long as the Zika virus continues to build hype.  Just don't sleep with the locals while you're there.  With it's high altitude at over 8,000 ft above sea level, there shouldn't be a threat of mosquitoes at that time of year.

  9. Thanks for the link. Watching it now. Really like Matt and hope he's involved in the reunion

    He'll be there
Our latest GNR-insiderEddie Money has only confirmed Izzy for Vegas not Sorum or Adler.

What, what??? Are you serious? IZZY is actually confirmed 100% for sure for Vegas????? wow, I must have missed that, wow

Nothing is 100% confirmed but a guy who posts here who has been right about other things said Izzy is in for Vegas.

Izzy is in for sure. My source didn't say anything about Matt Sorum and said that there is still discussion about having Adler be a part of the tour on some level. They didnt say that Sorum would not be involved though. I'll likely have more info later this week.

Izzy will play the entire show?

    What?

Please tell me that he will

And please tell me that there wont be no Fortus and no other guitar player -- please tell me it will be just Izzy and Slash on guitar

    :headbang::headbang::headbang:

Sorry. Not the entire show as far as I know.

  10. I can answer this. There's an oversight management team and then each principal member (Axl, Slash, and Duff) have a representative on a committee, and there is also a forth person to look out for the interests of the unrepresented participants (Richard, Dizzy, and Izzy, Tracy, Roberta, Teddy Zig Zag, etc).

Tracy, Roberta and Teddy? Please tell me you were just suggesting some additonal band members and that these aren't actually included in the ineup for the upcoming shows.

    No more bloatedness.

I was only joking about the Tracy Roberta and Teddy part. The fact is that I know the Richard, Dizzy, and Izzy will be involved and there is a committee so to speak that gives input and represents the interest of their band members to the oversight management team.

I can dig that, but this:

Axl is always in control. Everyone goes through him.

    has always been the case.

So I guess what I'm wondering is even with that management style in place, how would things work out?

Let's say for example, that Slash wants to do the AFD version of You're Crazy but Axl doesn't want to do the song at all. Is that something the management board would work out?

I can't answer that, but I don't think it's that extreme. Hopefully, the band works those details out among themselves. There are much bigger decisions concerning marketing, $$$, tour dates, travel, etc.

  12. Totally down for a meet up. The hammerstein meet ups were awesome, it will be nice to be with people equally as pumped to see these shows. I had a buddy that was going to come with me but I asked to come because he was already bitching about the price of the ticket for one night and if I'm somewhere and gnr playing there is no other place I need to be. So I said I'm going alone and to both nights... meet with up people that get how historic these shows will be!

What was the name of that restaurant? I went to the final night meet up. I think it was on a Wednesday.I remember walking in and saying proudly "I'm here for the MYGNR party" to the people working the door. It was upstairs and that's all I remember. Can't believe that was 10 years ago.

I think it was a HTGTH party at Mustang Sally's.

It was Mustang Sally's! But now you're making me question who I am. I would never go to a HTGTH party in 2016. I thought for sure it was a MyGNR get together.

    Nope - def HTGTH!

I thought it was Mustang Harry's ... hmm. I also remember the dude wearing the "Where's Mysteron?" shirt - haha.

Also up for Thursday night, too.

Probably need someone responsible who'll be there Thurs-Sun to head this up and put a poll up for the place(s) and make the phone calls.

    Not nominating myself!

    Mustang Harry's it was.

  15. Eddie Money, since you are now considered a GNR insider If Izzy isn't in Vegas like you mentioned will you buy us all a beer at the shows? And again I must not understand the concert Industry as I figured these Stadium shows would've had to be booked months ago,not just having holds tentatively put on them now.

Sure! I'll meet you on the concourse outside of the entrance to section 12 right after the opening set by Myles Kennedy featuring DJ Ashba and the Conspirators! Only kidding. The opener can be anyone for all I care as long as it isn't Danko Jones.

There are definitely stadium dates booked, but the second nights are in question in several of the markets where they will play. They are prepared to do as many as 40 shows in 25 North American cities. To the other question about new music, I cannot answer that right now.

Lol at the Danko Jones comment

Well, dissing the Eagles of Death Metal is now off limits since they were at the center of the terror act in Paris recently. Axl called them the Pigeons of Shit Metal.... I dont think I ever made up my mind as to whether they were any good or not come to think of it.
