  1. What an amazing show yesterday, even with strep throat, Axl killed it. So awesome to watch Eddie Vedder perform! Great how it went down, as we were walking to stage, Neil's people asked to see if Eddie could perform a few songs; Axl's like, "For sure!"... what a great show, hats off to one of the best weekends I have had.

Where did you see this? This is a comical story if it is a direct quote. The real story probably sounds like this: "Neil's people frantically approached Eddie on the side of the stage, who was watching the show with his wife and two young daughters, and asked him if he could fill 10 minutes to give Axl time to go on-stage. Eddie was nice about it, although he had only planned on taking the stage with the collective group of musicians for the finale. He avoided all contact with Axl after Guns N' Roses' performance. Rose, embarrassed and unwilling to associate with the other artists, retreated to his hotel immediately following the show."

  2. The highlighted flight is most-likely Axl's flight from Santa Monica to San Jose International Airport, which is 12 miles, 20 minutes in Saturday evening traffic to the venue. He landed 2 hours before they were scheduled to go on. There is no reason why he couldnt have been in the backstage area by 9pm. Even if he was there, I doubt he did vocal exercises on the way up.

I'm hoping he sounds better today because he'll have plenty of warm-up time unless he stayed up drinking all night and sleeps until 5pm. I don't think he gives a shit about putting on a top-notch performance right now. He's probably only doing the gig at the request of Tommy, DJ, and Bumblefoot.

  3. Here's another thing. I'm tired of this excuse that the live feed makes his voice seem bad. If this is the case, why did Eddie Vedder and Neil Young's vocals just fine?

Another annoying thing is that Axl's sound guys try to cover for him and they turn down the mic when Axl's about to go for a high note, but what always seems to happen is that the timing is off and it drowns axl out to make it seem like there are technical problems.

  4. Can any one tell me how to stream the show onto my ROKU so I can check it out on the tele instead of watching my 13 inch computer screen ? I've bought the Ustream live event for $5.00 and now I've downloaded the Ustream channel on Roku but I dont think it lets me log into my new Ustream account or go to the Pay-Per-View feature.

    Please help.

  5. Most of America doesn't care about the elections, I'm sure Axl falls into this category.

Agreed. All politicians do is fuck you over.Democrat, Republican, etc. it's all a bunch of bullshit just to get people riled up active and picking sides for debate and excitement. I vote for who I believe is the best candidate available.

I would imagine Axl would do the same..

Thats why you should go for Ron Paul wich is totally different from the other canidates. Young people in the states seems to get that now.

We can only hope he'd be that cool. Ron Paul could have won but the GOP was scared as shit by him

They were scared shit by him because he's fucking nuts.

Young people in America who support Ron Paul don't know what the fuck they're talking about. Sorry, I know this is meant to discuss the political leanings of a musician (because THAT really matters), but I'll break the rules a bit because anyone who supports Ron Paul needs a thorough head examination. Yeah, he's different than the other candidates. Big deal. So were Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, Pot, Mao, and Pinoche. Different doesn't necessarily mean better and can mean a whole lot worse.

With Paul, here's someone who believed the 1964 Civil Rights Voting Act was a violation of the Constitution, who believes that Brown v. The Board of Education was decided incorrectly, who wants to repeal the 14th amendment that requires all U.S. States to give its citizens due process under the law, who once said that in the L.A. riots of 1992, "order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks," and who endorsed and received payment for newsletters that claimed that 95 percent of all black men in Washington D.C. were either "semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

His economic policies would move America back to the gilded age, where poverty was rampant, inequality was far greater than it exists today, and the government was unable or unwilling to do a damn thing to help make things better. It took a Great Depression for American to move past the ideas that are now represented by the likes of Paul. There's not a credible economist who would ever support a single economic theory the man espouses. If you think the 2008 economic meltdown was bad, try returning the U.S. to the gold standard as advocated by Paul and see what happens. There goes the American dollar as the global reserve currency and with it American's ability finance its large deficits at historically low interest rates. You think U.S. deficits are bad now? Imagine what they'd be like if interest rates returned to their historical averages.

Seriously, don't just accept something because it feels good. The last time America did that it voted for Bush (the second time because it was scared post 9/11). Go read, learn, and consider more than the ramblings of a feeble minded old man (no, not Clint Eastwood). Moreover, stop worrying or concerning yourself what someone like Axl Rose thinks about politics. The man knows how to wrap a melody around a chord progression, but the day I start taking my political cues from a musician is the day I start agreeing with forum users like Volcano or Sailaway. Axl's smart to keep his thoughts to himself, especially after the ridicule that Dave Mustange and Ted Nuggent continually receive.

I apologize for hi-jacking this thread a bit, but in my fairness, it needed to be hi-jacked. Rather than look to people like Axl to guide their political identity, go learn and figure things out for yourself.

    This.

    And this:

    Obama >>>>>>>>>

"Forward" hahahahaha but yes, Ron Paul is an idiot.

  6. Good for him. I respect DJ as a performer. He's a very talented live musician. He's great with the audience. During the 8 or so time I've seen him perform with the band, he's been a highlight of the show for many of the casual fans and me. I like how he effortlessly walks on the board railing (where the glass should be for a hockey game) in the arenas. He seems to enjoy being on stage every night. Half of being 'guitar hero' is stage presence anyway.

    Anvil Rocks!

thank you canada, you are great

  8. lol America

Why don't you just..... fuck off?

Without America, you would not have W. Axl Rose and many of you would be born German.

Kidding. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY AMERICANS!!

Nevermind, I didn't see this part. Strike my last comment! I can take a joke.
