    I count 21 dates....didnt eddie money mention 24

But 2 vegas dates and Mexico and coachella ...

    ..hmmmm

That's right and I also told you that in 13 of these cities, the was originally room for a second show to be announced later if demand permits.  The only cities I didn't previously know about were New Orleans and Cincinnati.  I was aware they were going to play Orlando due to stadium renovations in Miami and Tampa.  I thought B of A Stadium in Charlotte was supposed to get a show but I guess they ultimately determined it was too close to Nashville and Atlanta to be able to draw a stadium full of fans this time around.

Well, if in fact roberta was giving eddie money infos, it might mean that she is involved in this which might meant that we will get the original guns version.

I was only joking about the Roberta source thing. The one thing I was serious about yesterday was the July 31 date at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Just an FYI, if Eddie is right about GNR playing the Superdome (New Orleans)...

That's fucking huge. NO ONE "plays" the Superdome nowadays. It's too big. That draw goes to shit like the Superbowl and WrestleMania. As an example, the Superdome has two events scheduled this year -- aside from Saints games: the end of an annual 10K race; and the Essence Festival, which is a three-day thing.

Most bands play the House of Blues or the Smoothie King Arena. Rolling Stones played the Superdome in 1978 and 1981. US and Green Day played it before the Saints' first game in the Dome after Hurricane Katrina. I don't even think Zeppelin played the Superdome. A little research shows the Allman Brothers and Temptations played it in the 1970s. Not sure how many rock bands aside from those listed above played the Dome as an independent concert.

Just saying, if that's true, that's fucking massive.

Super Dome.  Only 1 day though.  I'm hoping the fans want an Eddie Money opening act.

So this is a Stadium tour then right? If so it makes sense that LA is not on the list. There are no Stadiums of large capacity in the City yet. The Colliseum is supremely outdated. The Rose Bowl is in Pasadena, so outside of LA. The arena for the Rams and the other Stadium in the downtown area are a few years away

Fuck, San Diego will be the gig I have to see then..lol

Damn bro.....can't even help your GnR family out :)

What ones did you ask about and what do you know?  Hey, someone has to ask!

Sorry.  I've already been on notice for previous info shared.

Good idea. Atlanta is a weird choice of location though. Back to sleuthing I guess

Not really.  Big sound stages in Atlanta for the film industry.  Great for tour rehearsals.  Not to mention it's a cool city that's gone more hollywood with all of the filming that has taken place there in recent years.  It's also a hip-hop and rap hub which has caused a migration of a lot of music business activity. Some of the homes there make the estates in the wealthy areas of Los Angeles look small.

Eddie, just a comment on the rumored Dallas date on May 27.

Duff is supposedly playing with Hollywood Vampires at Rock in Rio Lisbon on that date..

Is Duff confirmed to be there with Hollywood Vampires?  I'm not really familiar with the band, project, or whatever it is.  Is it kind of like the Kings of Chaos with Johnny Depp included?  how committed is Duff to this band.  It makes no sense to schedule side gigs when promoters are being asked to pay you a minimum of US$3,000,000 per show.  I continue to hear about this Dallas date but it's never the same - I think I first heard May 28 then the end of April and now I'm hearing May 27.  It seems like they've been working to get it set-up.  I have no real theories on why it hasn't been locked down already.  I received vague answers when I asked my source.

Eddie, any talk of doing arenas rather than stadiums in smaller markets?

No, but if they are reconsidering venue size, it would explain the delay.  As I said when I first began receiving information, most of the stadium dates in North America were only tentative holds at the time.  I wouldn't be surprised if they booked arenas in smaller markets.  No disrespect to Little Rock, it's a nice little city, but it is probably not a market that would be announced as one of the first shows on GNR's return.  I would guess that Little Rock might be one of Dolly's dates.

  8. I had a few moments to look to see what's going on this morning.  it appears that AT&T Stadium has their stadium tours blacked-out on May 27, yet there are no scheduled events.  Not if that means anything at all.  Other dates that say "No Tours" are over Kenny Chesney and Beyonce.  In other words, the report I received is consistent with what their website is showing.... unless of course you think Dolly Parton and Phil Collins are teaming up for a massive stadium show on that date (kidding).

  9. Hopefully tomorrow when you guys all go to work, hate your jobs, and think about GNR all day, you'll try to run down this lead about May 27 for Dallas.  It's odd that I was first given a date at the end of May for Dallas.  Then I heard the end of April.  Now it's back to the end of May.  This is the same person who gave me the Soldier Field date so I'm hoping she's not fucking with me on both.  She's very much one of the insiders.

@Eddie Money Did you see Eddie Trunks blog today? And I quote "will be attending the GnR shows in Vegas. Maybe a special event somewhere before the first night. Keep an eye on this space for details. More news soon."

I can't tell but that appears to be GNR related.. Eddie, do you have any idea what that could mean? What is this "special event" we could be witnessing?

I've not heard.  Perhaps the other Eddie will be hosting a live on-air Sirius event at some MGM Mirage bar/ nightclub and he'll sit down with the participating original members for an interview and preview of the upcoming US tour... who knows really?  I know it's not going to be an Eddie Money concert.  That's what people in Vegas really want to see - An Eddie Money Residency at O'Shea's (is that place still even in business?)!!??

What Alice In Chains? there is no AIC. Jerry and his band is great old fashioned sludge though. Great news and sorry to be the cunt that points out there is no AIC without Layne and he's gone. That's like Pantera without Dime. I like their new lead singer, not much in the lyrics department but he's cool and fits and with Jerry's lyrics they recorded BGWTB. New album was uninspired with only a few cool moments.

But this band is a great match for an opener for Guns. Hopefully they won't look pathetic going after Jerry's Chains cause if Axl comes up fat and confused it won't be pretty but let's hope for the best.

Or GNR without Slash?  This is great news.  I was hoping they would add The Darkness since they were looking to extend their US tour dates beyond their upcoming club shows.

After the izzy saga started Eddie Money came on here and said he was still being told izzy was going to be there so I'm going with that. Slash spent 6 months denying a reunion so maybe izzy is doing something similar. It would be great to see izzy up there but given it will probably only be for a few songs it won't take anything away from what will be a great night if he's not. It's the non involvement in a potential album izzy would be heavily missed. I still have faith in an Adler appearance somewhere

I'm not quite sure what to think now.  Things have been quiet and it appears that there's been some kind of breakdown between Izzy and members of the band. When I spoke with my contact, she assured me that he would be in Vegas, but it doesn't look like that will happen now.  The impression I had was that he would come out and do a few songs as he has with Axl since 2006.  Let's hope whatever differences exist are settled so we can still see Izzy at some point during the tour.
