  1. Does this mean that I'm am also a cunt? A big fat juicy one with puffy lips I hope.  I would like to express my sincere condolaces to him. I'm sure he'll find a much better gig now that he's free from performing with GN'R.

Finally, his statements say it all.  This forum is important in the GNR world/inner circle and there is band interest in everything we say, no matter how big or small, no matter how true or false.

  2. I'm most interested in who the openers will be.  Besides Eddie Money, I wouldn't mind seeing them invite The Darkness to tour with them.  I also think that country guy Chris Stapleton is cool and although he would be an unconventional choice, I think he would be cool as one of the openers in the southern stadiums - Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte (hypothetical cities - not saying they will all be played).  I bought his album and think it's great.  When you listen to some of the songs, there is definitely room for bluesy soloing in the form of a guest appearance by Slash.

These are Eddie Money opinions and not those of anyone connected to the band.

Thanks for that. I have to admit I doubted you but then again you did break the news of Vegas and/or Mexico. I can't remember if it was you who said that Izzy was also in for Coachella/Mexico? At this point there have to at least be contracts in place for Izzy to be in Vegas, right? Also,no news on Adler I'm assuming?

I told you the exact dates for Las Vegas and also told you about the two shows in Mexico and confirmed that Izzy would be involved at the beginning.  I also explained the management structure and told you about tentative plans for a Chicago concert before flyers from an alderman/ city council representative and announcements from Mancow on 97.1 The Loop.  There is still a  lot of tour information that I gathered but most of it was coming from my contact's memory and she could have had dates mixed up.  She also said that most of the concert arrangements were still being plotted out and not confirmed so much of that info wasn't worth sharing here as I feared many of you die-hards would make travel arrangements and blame me later if they didnt happen! Like the other Eddie opined, I don't think that they are wanting to over-commit themselves if the demand doesn't prove to be as great as the original forecast projected.

I hope Dallas will not be the only Texas date. I'm up for a drive around Texas.

They've drawn out Mexico City ticket sales which makes me nervous for some of the other committments. I'm afraid they're looking closely at some of these other dates. It would be great to see Dallas/Houston/Alamodome in SAT but I don't know if we will see them all.  At least not consecutively.

  5. Nothing new to report here.  I go home from paradise on Tuesday and I'll work to get some more info for all of you.

It is my humble opinion that a super bowl performance could have been a huge liability for the band.  There would have been a greater chance of mistakes than a triumphant ass-kicking presentation of what this band will be on tour this Spring/Summer.  They've been rehearsing, but without Axl again and we don't know what he's going to sound like.  He skipped band rehearsals two weeks ago

There's just too much money on the line.  If The band were to play live at the super bowl (and I don't think anyone really does)  and has an off night, the tour's in trouble.  If he lipsyncs, people blast him, the tour is in trouble.  No Izzy Stradlin or Adler on stage....the tour is not a real reunion...

The less exposure, the better in my opinion until they are ready to move a lot of tickets.

Enjoy your Domingo fans.  I hope to meet you all in the DF or in Vegas.

  6. It's morning in Tahiti and Mrs. Money and I are about to go for a walk on the beach to see if we can find any nice looking sea shells for our bathroom decorations back home.  I forgot to mention when I signed on last night that I'm hearing July 27th for Philadelphia.  Lincoln Financial Field.  It's a mid-week show.  Not sure if this is one of the markets where two shows could happen if things sell well.

He had a thinly veiled shit fit on Facebook and then deliberately took GNR out of his bio on the exact same day. And Eddie money (who has been spot on with everything else) has said he believes Pitman's out. So learn to read through the lines I guess?

I didn't say he was out but have no confirmation that he is actually in either.  I know about Frank, fortus, and izzy's "participation" but that's it. Last post from me until next week. Sit tight fans.

Thanks for the advice. I'm a Blues fan! Hence planing to spend more time in Memphis. I also like Country music, just not as much. I'm planing to visit Clarksdale too on the way down to New Orleans.

I am really looking forward for this trip. The prospect of seeing Guns n Roses even makes it more exciting. You really got me thinking when you said they are going to be in Dallas on April 30. It all depends where they go next. Otherwise, I will have to wait for European concerts.

Sit tight on Dallas.  They're watching the ticket sales from the next show and have a several dates not signed yet.  I would hate for you to change your trip and Dallas is changed.

will SFTD be played? any Slash solo hits or VR stuff?

I don't know and can't confirm which CD tunes will be played I just know the band are learning them together.

Who knows with the Slash stuff?  I personally would rather hear some of them than CD songs, but the best we may get could be something like Dr. Alibi with Duff on vocals while Axl is on an oxygen mask break.

Any comment on this Eddie? Do you know which month?

I've heard no real discussion about it and I'm not sure they would have time to make it happen to be honest.  If there are 25-26 cities on the schedule and they'll play mostly weekends, there isn't that much time to fly the band and crew over just to do a couple shows.  Keep in mind that the September time frame I'm hearing for an end to the US tour makes sense because they'll be weaving around NFL and possibly college football schedules if they play too far into September.  Not sure what will happen in October and the remainder of the year.
