It seems like Axl may have donated his 2001 Jerry Rice Raiders Jersey to be displayed at the Hard Rock.

A friend of my agent told me that there is a serious push to bring the original band back together and the album component and corporate sponsorship for the tour are the two obstacles left to be negotiated. Apparently, Axl, Slash, and Duff have all agreed to it and once they have the two aforementioned items worked out, they'll be able to recruit the other touring members of the band (Tracy, Roberta, and Teddy Andreis), but they are holding off on that part because it could damage their plans if there is in-fighting or if someone gets their feelings hurt because they're left out and generates bad publicity.

Axl registers anything related to present day GNR under Black Frog Music and anything related to the old band to Guns N' Roses, Inc., correct? I see this as more evidence of the wheels beginning to turn for a reunion tour and possibly a new album. It seems so far fetch because we've been fans so long and the era of Nu GNR has gone on seemingly forever, but this is still not impossible. Especially since the former members are healthy and are pretty much all on speaking terms. Slash and Axl could be on good terms again but publically acknowledging a new found friendship would certainly ruin the surprise.
If they do it, I hope Axl gets the vocal training he'll need to pull this off successfully.

...Yes, UYI line-up tour with Special Guests Adler's Appetite!

Axl Rose, come down off that roof and let's go sign your record deal! - I can see an entire chapter written about this one lame story.

It will take some maneuvering but might be able to pull it off. Not booking anything until official info is released though.
End of January first week in February. You can still make vegas happen. I believe in you.
That can't be right. I thought the Mexico date was going to be the first.See y'all in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock in late January for the little residency. Looking fwd to hearing how Axl's voice is holding up after a little rest.
If true that doesn't leave me with time or money to make a move to Vegas
Definitely - don't do that. I first they were in talks for November back in early September. Nothing ever seems to go as planned. I'm ready to get up there and see a few shows.

They're working out dates for another short run at The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas this fall. Nothing exciting to report. I'm sure Bumblefoot isn't happy.

It does sound corny now but in 1991, the labeling of albums with "explicit lyrics" was a big deal. 2 LIve Crew was releasing Banned In The USA around this time and they had just received lots of negative publicity from a florida court case and putblic outrage over As Nasty As They Wanna Be. All of the rappers were releasing albums with the sticker on it and chain music stores in the States were being somewhat strict with selling labeled albums to minors. It was strange. I was in 7th grade and I remember my father being with me when I purchased the UYI I&II cassettes. The clerk asked him if it were okay and pointed out the sticker. I remember hiding my Too $hort tapes in Lionel Richie's 'Dancing on the Ceiling' cassette case.

He's leanred to write like axl. Lots of run-on sentences that give you a headache when you try to read them.

I can't picture Axl being at a country show unless he sings a slow duet with a female vocalist. I would like to see Axl turn up on an Episode of Daryl's House instead. Anyone ever watch that show?

Myles is good. I never heard him until Back to Cali and Starlight on the first Slash solo album. I was instantly a fan. I wouldn't be so kind though if I went to see a band called Guns N' Roses and there was a different frontman. Even if it were Myles. That's how pro-Axl I am. Can't help it.

I think the replacements reunion tells us that there is absolutely nothing on the horizon for Guns N' Roses. Soon, you'll see Frank, Bumblefoot, and Pitman out touring their electronic music in small clubs in central/south america. Hookers & Blow will be playing gigs at random bars in North Florida and everyone will be happy..... everyone except Axl. He'll be left to evaluate whether or not he can get the band together for some reunion shows.
If it doesn't happen, I'm not going to be disappointed. I think they've missed the window of opportunity.

I don't think Axl has a couple years.
-
I always thought he was the pyro dude but I guess since they can't afford pyro anymore, he's been relegated to monitor duty. Tom Mayhue is Axl's guy. He can pick up a microphone stand like no other. He's actually a cool guy and has been with GNR for years. I think his brother used to work for Slash.

Axl's going to have a lot of time to rethink his relationship with Slash/ the former members, as this tour is about to wind-down. Although, they've talked about another run in Vegas, I can't imagine these guys being together this fall to make it happen. The constant touring keeps Axl from having to think about his reunion options, if there are any. I imagine finding a proper management team to orchestrate a massive tour would be difficult. I agree with many of you that the team in place now is not adequate and would need to be relegated to handling Axl's needs only.
I believe this lineup is days away from being through. Before too long, you'll see it slowly disband. As evidenced by the Dallas performance, the current band doesn't care anymore. They're tired and they know that there's nothing that they can do as one unit to record together, at least with Axl anyway. They're lifeless on stage and even Richard's enthusiastic thrashing of the guitar moves seem contrived now. You're about to see Ron, Pitman, and Frank get their electronic music project moving after this tour is over. DJ will become occupied with his other projects, and Richard and Tommy will find things to keep themselves busy and then we'll be back in the dark ages once again.
I love the current lineup and have always had hopes that they would create music together, but I guess it isn't meant to be. It's clear that they all think Axl's a great guy but several of them don't care for the people that manage the band/ his life. Night after night, they are out hanging with the fans after the shows, only to be told that Axl can see them now, and then they are led to Axl's VIP holding area where Team Brazil opens the doors with excitement to a heard of chicks...and band members who have waited with the fans to hangout with the singer of the band they're in. It's gotta be weird for them.
I've enjoyed this run while it lasted and hope that if a reunion ever does happen, they do it right, and record at least 2-3 new awesome songs together before the tour occurs. I also hope the ticket prices are less than US$200 but I think I would pay a small fortune to see everyone on stage together again.

hmm, I see.
Well, I edited the OP. He spent some money, nowhere near the 14 million, though.
Okay
But an album (or albums) doesn't worth 14 or plus millions....
It's not worth it...
It's just music, for fuck's sake...
Overpriced and overproduced...
Apparently, Axl and DJ are working on material together right now. Have there been any Axl sightings in Vegas over the past few days?
Where'd you hear this?
bullshit, don't pay him attention
You will all thank me later for this information. If I provide a source, it could be bad for me. Just be hopeful. I don't care if any of you believe or not. I don't spend my days worrying about this forum anymore. I used to be on the message boards long ago under the name 'Outtagetme', but am unknown to all of the current people here. Be hopeful they get some work done while he's there. He'll turn up at a club sooner or later. You'll see.

...And Axl is in Las Vegas right now writing with DJ. Knowing his track record, not sure if any of it will be out by 2014 but it's still good to hear that some forward progress is being made.

Yes, it seems that another residency deal is in the works at HRH Las Vegas.
-
They're planning another run at the Hard Rock Vegas according to my friends who work out there.

I enjoyed Eddie Vedder w/ Roger Waters best. Maybe if Los Angeles has a bad earthquake in a few years, Axl will reunite with the original line-up for a benefit concert like this. Only one show.

I picture the scene from Rock Star when Mark Wahlberg's character becomes a new member of Steel Dragon. DJ approaches Axl after a gig with new material that he had written only to find out that there is no chance of the band ever using his songs.

I have this vision of Axl in hiding somewhere with a strict physical and vocal training schedule and a whole team of people getting him ready for this big reunion tour. Perhaps he'll be spending the winter pushing logs up hills in a remote Russian tundra much like how Rocky Balboa trained for his big fight in Rocky IV. Its probably fair to say that he worked to get ready for his 2006 comeback, but I just hope he takes this much more seriously than any of his previous tours since the UYI lineup and actually prepares.
