That's what I'm thinking, she's old now and life got boring for her, so she's digging into old shit now to try and get some attention and/or money.

I'd be really surprised if any allegation like that ever really can cancel Axl because he's one of rocks most notorious bad boy rockstars it's kind of a given and people always expected that such stuff was going on. She might be speaking the truth but coming out with this shit only 40 years later makes her claims and her intentions questionable at best.

No doubt. Axls an easy target because he has a sketchy past with women trying to take him down.

  2. I’ll guarantee that if GnR hadn’t thought about it before, they certainly will now after seeing it here on the forum. Not to mention the women who were “bitches” might take issue with it nowadays but probably didn’t back then. If there’s an opportunity to edit a credit, why not?

I still think it’s bullshit that they deleted “one in a million” like it never existed when all they really had to do was bleep out two words.

I think there’s way too much money involved for any of g to hem to quit/retire. I’d say UYI box and tour, like someone else said ain’t going down as a new single. Then maybe an extended break. I think we’ll see them again in a few years. Like Aerosmith or the Stones, just too much cash to call it a day.

I see what you’re saying but seriously, how much money is enough? Surely they’ve all made enough to last several lifetimes and take care of their people.

it’s certainly not about the art at this point.

  4. I really think that someone will quit (slash) or they’ll disband… more likely 2023 though.

I actually hope they call it a day, it’s become a circus but not like the UYI says. It’s sad seeing Axl onstage. I’m hoping they’ll drop an album and retire.

  5. I remember back when the End Of Days soundtrack first came out and being excited as it really felt like the album was coming any day, fast forward 9 years and we got CD and I sort of started realising that Axl really isn’t much without the rest of them but still enjoyed it for what it is.
I honesty didn’t pay any attention to what slash was doing other than seeing him on tv doing the Michael Jackson thing in 2001 and the first VR album. I didn’t have internet at home until around 2003 so all my music news came from magazines and friends so I wasn’t really in the loop.

We are lucky for the music we got in their classic era and it’s time they just put this thing to bed IMO

  6. No new album and it’s crazy to think that more time has elapsed than had between the release of AFD and UYI. This reunion has almost ran as long as GnRS original big touring years of roughly 87 to 93. At this point it’s really obvious it was all a cash grab. My main question is: how much money is enough already? You can’t take it to the grave, perhaps they all want to set up their families for the long run?  I just can’t get my head around it.

  7. I don’t think Axl gives a shit about releasing music, only making money.
this reunion only happened once Newgnr faced the prospect of playing small venues and probably making very little money after the overheads of late fees, band members to pay, staff etc etc, so Axl reached out to Slash…

Axls accountant probably told him, “hey if you want to keep up this lifestyle your gonna need to make a lot more money”

    * ring ring “hi slash I forgive you”
