A demo of you could be mine would have been nice, if it exists….

First I’ll go on pirate bay to find the blu ray… then I’ll download it illegally and watch it….
I would happily buy it if it was released separately… but I’m forced to go this way.- 3

For many years I only had the audio for this and never knew why Axl stopped singing. It Wasn’t until I finally got it on vhs (pre YouTube days) that I finally saw what happened when Axl threw the mic.
i swear that I wore out that vhs… it was my first actual visual introduction to GnR.

Isn't a poser someone who can't back up what they try to represent? How is he a poser when he was frontman of the biggest band in the world at the time? Everyone was trying to be HIM, not the other way around. At that point, you're pretty much free to do anything without being a poser lmao.
Not sure… he was posing as a cyclist as far as I can tell… not sure if he rides

I always loved the outfit changes. Made the show even more entertaining and it was perfect for that larger than life phase of GnR.
Maybe you had to be there back than to really get it lol.
Back in the 90s I always thought Axl was a poser in his bike shorts but now Axl the american flag ones have become an iconic Axl outfit to me.

One big thing was the legal conundrum with Irving Azoff. Axl sued in May 2010 and settled in June 2011. Irv wielded power at Ticketmaster and LiveNation (just merged at the time). That meant Guns could only play clubs and festivals stateside while the proceedings went on. I think they had to make a deal about a certain amount of US dates, with a certain amount of those proceeds going to Azoff.
Forced Axl isn't what you call a happy one.
The fact that Axl didn’t have a rant onstage about Irving is a miracle, but more than likely trying to dodge a defamation lawsuit.

The tracks were already cut by the time they hit the road, Axl was probably still tweaking and maybe Slash was doing a few overdub? but I think the main thing once they hit the road was mixing and mastering. I think the looseness here is more to do with A) first time playing it live B) they probably hadn't heard it in a while and were forgetting the parts they played and the arrangement.
I’m pretty sure they played it months earlier at rock in rio, and I think the arrangement was as close to the official release as possible and better than this one other than Axls mic cutting out for a while.

I would have loved to see buckethead or robin play the estranged leads, Ron’s guitar had a really tinny sound about it… it didn’t sound right, I reckon robin would have nailed it given the chance.

Wtf is with this band, they had the chance to release something wonderful to celebrate UYI and they’ve blown it yet again….
look at a band like iron maiden or Metallica…. That’s how it’s done….

I doubt anything is coming…. And even if it was it’ll probably be rehashed cd rejects.
They really just need to hire Izzy and get in a studio, bang something out in a month. I’d bet the big 4 can make something better in a week than anything off CD- 2

Leave Me Alone and Seven, a mix of Silkworms similar to the live performances back in the day, Oh My God (newer versions before the version that leaked) and earlier songs not from the Village leaks. I believe most of the Roy Thomas Baker stuff is out there.

I believe he is no longer with us. May he rest in peace.
I can't remember his name, but also the member here who posted some Soul Monster lyrics. They say the stars don't look the same, I may have changed, yet I have my soul to claim. (Something like that)
There was also the member who shared some of the lyrics from sorry before it was released or anyone outside GnR had heard of it

So I guess the perfect crime documentary is buried forever, or at least until Axl dies and his benefactors (TB) start to cash in on the GnR legacy

The Ritz show was filmed and yes that requires different cameras. Very few UYI shows were filmed as it was expensive. This was confirmed by Doug Goldstein.
So I guess that explains why they chose this show to release, the quality must be insane. It’s pretty exciting really…
-
Was the ritz show recorded using higher quality cameras and audio due to the fact they filmed the YCBM video with the same gear?
otherwise I don’t see the significance of releasing this show as opposed to many other choices.
-
Anyone know why they only uploaded half of the deer creek show?
seems odd is all and I was looking forward to hearing perfect crime

More shitty merch to boost their retirement fund. More touring with an “all new show” with a new cover song or two.
new music: no

I was kinda expecting a re-release of his bio with all of the negative Axl stuff removed and maybe a few new chapters… looks like a cool book but way to expensive
-
If GNR own their masters there was no reason for them to be stored at universal, Metallica bought back their masters in 2012.
I’d suggest Axl/GnR probably purchased them back many years ago or always owned them to begin with. Also I remember reading an interview with slash a long time ago where he said that recording all of the concerts was at the bands expense, not the label, so all of that live stuff is probably in Axls basement.
-
He did look like something was off back then, maybe an illness or some type of cosmetic surgery, who knows really

I remember reading somewhere that he was more of a lone wolf type and wasn’t up for the commitment of a full time band. Awesome guitarist apparently

Maybe they re-watched the old pre-ritz tape and saw Doug pash Steph and Axl lost his shit over it
-
I’m not sure how these things work but does everyone on those live show tapes have to sign a release approving it?
That could be the hold up if Matt, Izzy or Steven won’t sign.

I just wish they’d go out with a bang and release one final kick ass album, one world tour, then call it quits and Sporadically release the leftovers to further line their retirement funds…
at this point I believe any fan who can out live Axl will see the rewards of music released.
