Has anyone figured out what high vocals Axl is singing during the bridge?
Hearing that for the first time on the House of Blues proshot was a revelation, but he uses like a baby voice and you can't understand what he's saying
In one of the earlier SW leaks, one channel had that vocal isolated, I think.
"Ooh hooo......just another love, stripped away..."

Do you remember who did it?
Who did that to you...
Who would do this to you?
Who would do this to you? To the young?
Who would do that to me, boy?
Up to abuse, in fact you knew them.
Who wants to lose?
To lose
To loseDo you?
Speaking part: "I've got hopes and dreams, and I must feel bolder."
[Verse]
My hopes, my dreams have died
Now I rest my hate in the rumors as they're pushin' through
There's a child now chained to the bed now
To me it's time I'm always workin' and I'm gonna get out
I think it's high time you should fuckin' die, child
I think this time you've broken everything inside
I won't be ever satisfied
This is why, baby, you know I got you
[Chorus]
Do you remember who did it?
Who did, that to you...
Who would do this, to you?
Who would do this to you? To the young?
Who would do that to me, boy?
Up to abuse, in fact we knew them.
Who wants to lose?
To lose

Fixed.

I'm 100 percent sure that those are not the lyrics to the actual song.
1) Me too. 2) I never claimed they were. 3) Many of the lyrics on that web page don't match my own. Somebody's ears are broken.
4 hours ago, LandOla said:Vocals are so muffled up that you could write something almost totally different going by that and it would sound as accurate as Evaders.
Please do. The cellphone clip is out there. Man, I really can't wait to hear your work!
Mods, could one of you please delete any links to my horrible, offensive, amateurish effort that nobody reading this right now should ever have heard? Thanks.

You talkin about the Axl emails?
Yeah, not convinced the "book" actually exists though. I think - way back when - Mr. Florida said it was 10,000 words. It even had a title. But to me, 10k words sounds more like a short story than a book.

Grayfox, a few posts above, is exactly correct.
Stoymatic, the guy who recorded The G from the party discussed who, when and where he did it earlier in this thread, maybe 20-25 pages back.
Zombux, yes, that is the same Krissy/ZeroMortals person, and they carry their obsessed ramblings into PM also.
Donny, no BBF on the track.
People questioning the lyrics, please dive in and do a better job than I did. I like the song, and would love to hear a better version than I was able to create. Those complaining about it... I don't know what to tell you other than I didn't make it for you. Not trying to be a dick. Just being honest.
Rick, you should have negotiated for the unpublished book. (no, I don't have it)
Everybody else, I'm begging, please stop PM-ing me for my version. I won't share it. Besides, it's 100% faked, and house experts here have confirmed that all the lyrics and instrumentation are wrong.

so you made 2 versions ? talk about dangle a carrot. put us out of our misery. i don't mean robert de nero style either
Oh no. There were WAY more than 2 versions, and I could make 100 in a day because all the tracks are split. But, the early version that I think made it to Florida had the ending vocal of a previous verse that leads into what I believe is the chorus. I think that it goes "I always wanted you to leave......" and is the beginning of the cellphone clip. Could also be "I always wanted you to be" but "leave" seemed more appropriate. That version also had a "Bucket-headed" solo which was very similar to the cellphone guitar solo, which is most likely Finck. That was the last version I shared with anyone who may have sent it to Florida.
The version that is leaking - I think - is the same version Rick received. It has a different solo, also Bucket (Factory V). No intro pre-chorus vocal.
So now I consider there to be 3 versions, none of which I will ever consider to be "done".
1) The version Rick discussed (2:28)
2) The full version with the aforementioned vocal (just a few extra seconds)
3) The Shacklers Remix-style version, which is my current favorite, but most of you would f'ing hate (3:43)

"I have a very old version that MAY be "out there""..????
What are you referring to? Another, older version of The General or something else?
A previous version of The G that I made, back in March, which I think found it's way to Florida. I believe that old version is the one which was being sold. However, I believe Rick also received the newer version, with the Factory V solo and some improved editing on the vocals, which I believe is superior.

more like... a combination of those two. 1) is definitely and absolutely true. 2) is also somewhat correct, as TeamBrazil is silently supporting that. what a fuckers.
I'd like to add that this particular douche also strikes in revenge mode. So, if you've ever questioned "his" motivations on anything, he will take everything you've ever done down. In my case, everything I had ever done was taken down because I had the temerity to defend a guy that this douche and the other copyright douche junior were attacking because of the way he (admittedly) misspelled a single word. They were relentless in their attack, I defended the guy, and then all my videos were removed from YT and Vimeo, and my audio was removed from Soundcloud. All of it. Then, I was banned from that forum.

4 minutes ago, Estrangedfx said:Ok, I need more clarification on this... Evader, is this more of a cleaned up version of the song that was plagued with all that background noise, people talking, etc?
I mean.... Did you salvage/isolate enough of the song to know enough of what it really sounds like to have accurately "recreated" it? It just sounds very confusing.
For example.... If anyone took a simple instrumental, inserted some random Axl Chinese Democracy Rock Band Vocals, and called it "Atlas Shrugged", would that be a fair comparison? Also, what about the lyrics?? Are you guessing/making them up or do you actually have access to what Axl actually wrote??
I cleaned up the cellphone clip well enough that I could figure out most of the lyrics and some of the additional instrumentation that wasn't part of the concert intro. I used common sense and educated guesses to fill in the blanks. If school history is a good indicator, I'm good for about 75% accuracy on educated guesses. Then, I rebuilt all of it - vocals and instrumentals - using numerous sources. Vocals are entirely from the CD multis - one ahhhh, oooooh, ohhhh, eeeee, ihhhhh, and ayyyyeee at a time. Why vowels? Because you can't always hear low-frequency consonants in the cell clip if you rip out the crowd noise.
Basically, figure out the vowel, then figure out it's pitch, then find it in the multis, then shape it, then stick it into the puzzle. If it doesn't quite fit, you find another piece that does.
Your Atlas comparison doesn't quite work because that particular puzzle didn't come with a reference picture on the box lid. At least this one I worked on had a blurry picture to work from (cellphone clip). The more hours I worked on the puzzle, the clearer the picture on the box lid became. Am I close? I'll let you and history determine that. Either way, I'm quite certain GNR wouldn't want the "Evader Version" to be the public's first perception of a long-vaulted song meant for a future album.
Also, the guitar solo from my clip does not match the cell clip. My version is from Buckethead's Factory V. I have one very old version that MAY be "out there" which has Bucket playing an extended version of the solo from the clip.

I've only been able to find the 8 sec clip, not the 2+ min one. If this was more easily found, then surely it would stop people trying to sell it for thousands
I'm pretty sure anyone willing to pay big bucks for unreleased material already knows the "studio" clip is fake. I've been screaming about it for over a month on the largest GNR fan forum in the world, despite desperately not wanting to be any part of this mess.

Russ, I wouldn't have a huge problem with someone trying to trade it for something else. It is when they are trying to sell it for thousands of dollars - and claiming it is a real studio track - that I have to draw the line. People that live paycheck to paycheck who have families were being scammed.

To those who want to hear this, it is already "out there". I've even been sent public, streaming links to it - people wanting me to verify it was mine. It has been shared with so many people I can't believe you all haven't heard it already.
Please don't PM me for links. I'm terrible at saying "no" but in this particular case I don't feel I have a choice. You'll have to get it from one of the other 50 members of this forum that already have it. When you do hear it, if you don't like it, then I didn't make it.

They aren't talking about the after-show party clip. They are talking about Evader's "studio" version. That one wasn't supposed to leak (was a personal project of him) and ended up in the wrong hands. It's obviously fake, and they say it took him 3 years to make it.
I remade the instrumental back in 2012, after the concert intro was identified. I wasn't asked to "clean up" the cellphone clip until about a year ago.

No problem. Yeah it really doesn’t matter too much I guess. At this point it’s already hit the masses. By your version do you mean the manufactured “studio” version? And if you don’t mind me asking. Is the cellphone version that’s out your cleaned up version? And were those the only lyrics you thought you heard?
Manufactured "studio" version, yes. I haven't heard the cellphone version that's out there, but I suspect it is from the original source. I spent a lot of time cleaning it up, but I don't think I ever sent a full version of my cleanup to anyone. I don't think.

Where was it said the track is about child abuse though? The alleged lyrics still dont necessarily mean that. If that was there somewhere, I could see the lyrics being semi legit
There is a line in the second part of the soft chorus, and another in the screaming verse that are dead giveaways.

I will say this. Before I seen the lyrics I heard similar words myself. Using good headphones and clearing noise and listening. I don’t know if I can or should post where and who said them though. That being said if you want to know drop me a PM and I’ll tell you.
Thanks Grayfox, but honestly it doesn't matter who or where. I've already had 6 people send me my version and ask me if I knew anything about it. So, I know the full thing is being shared. I hope they didn't pay for it. I'm not even mad about it. Disappointed and surprised, but not mad.

On another forum. A guy said the lyrics were

who did that to you?
who would do this, to you?
who would do this to you? to the young!
Those are the lyrics I derived from the cellphone recording. Whether or not they are correct is up for you all to decide. I don't know who wrote those lyrics on another forum, but they probably also somehow have my version of the song.

Of the songs apart of the Beavan sessions that we know of, the only song that makes sense to be about child abuse is Oh My God. Go look for my thread on Evo for a more in depth explanation.
It could be another song that we don’t know of but I think it’s a halfway decent hypothesis.
It's The General. Loved your analysis on Evo though. Nice work.

I really don't want this thing going public, so no. It won't be me. But unfortunately it is out there, which is why I have a presence here today. I'm trying to block it. And I'm trying to let everyone know that its fake so people will stop sending money to the dickheads that are selling it. Sorry man, I wish I could.
Edit: In addition, this leaking would do a massive disservice to the band, who worked hard on it. My version compared to theirs is most certainly an unintentional disgrace. I don't want their song to be judged from my initial, incomplete interpretation of a shitty cellphone recording of it. No knock on the guy who recorded it. My thanks to him. But he would be first to agree that deciphering the song from that recording is virtually impossible. Sorry for the edit.
