Can somebody replace Axl's This I Love studio vocals with Axl's This I Love remix vocals on the This I Love studio track and see how it sounds?

I'm not going to fully isolate the remix vocals, but I have lined them up with the original version, and mixed them with it. CD Axl is in the left channel, and Remix Axl is in the right channel. Same key. Drums from Remix version are in the right channel also. I don't have a week to remove them. But, if you want to hear it, send me a message.

@evader please correct this mess, and add the solo!!

As a Bucketheadaholic, it would severely disrupt my chi to work on a Finck solo. On very rare occasions I dabble in Slash stuff, but that's where I draw the line.

Would be cool but can you extract just the vocal from a single low-res file? And would it need to be stretched/compressed to fit the timing of the album version?

The vocal can definitely be isolated. All it will take is about one hour of work per one second of audio. It is literally a surgical procedure if you want it done right. And, sorry, I'm not the doctor for this particular job.

  3. This is the first show by GNR and Axl Rose after what was nearly 8 years of stage silence. It had a spectacularly gifted guy with a bucket on his head nobody knew. It had two other guitarists nobody knew, a drummer nobody knew, and a bass player very few people knew. At the time it was a freak show. Eight years later, it was legendary. Today, you are seeing what many considered a holy grail, and like it or not, you should. It is amazing.

The General aka Checkmate aka Jackie Chan. Obvious CD II opener.

Berlin aka Oklahoma - seems like a rant track as per Axl's quote

Soul Monster - most Sabbath thing they've done accord Axl.

    Thyme - Beltrami orchestra track

Seven - Beltrami said the best song he worked on

Atlas Shrugged - Zutaut said the first single, a glam rock Nov Rain

    quesrions on a postcard

The General and Jackie Chan seem to be two completely different songs. I could be wrong, but the instrumental concert intro of The General (D-Major, 66.5bpm) bears no resemblance whatsoever to the 16 second clip of Jackie Chan (Eb-Minor, 82bpm). Maybe there are some major change-ups in the song, but I kinda doubt it.

So I was messing with Silkworms and Oh My God in Audacity. I was exporting Silkworms file and in doing so it brings of the metadata. In the file the song name is “2001 Street Of Dreams”. Oh My God didnt have any info in the metadata file. So it makes me wonder if 2001 Street Of Dreams will be next to leak. Just found it interesting so I figured I’d share.

In my old version of Audacity, the metadata of the file being rendered relates to the first file opened in that particular session of Audacity. So, maybe whoever rendered your copy of Silkworms first opened 2001 Street of Dreams in Audacity, then pulled in Silkworms, then closed SOD, then rendered Silkworms and didn't change the metadata for the new file.

Great job guys! Theven ending most be a motherfucker to sing, sounds like it was one take as well?

Huge compliment from a great vocalist - thanks, SoundOfAGun! And yes, I'm fairly certain that outro was from a single take, which is mind-blowing to me.

Also, the two tracks in your sig are really good! And sorry about that other thing. I guess the stars* haven't yet aligned.

TJ you sound damn good, when I try to sing this stuff people tell me I'm an octave lower than Axl :(

The "Maybe we'd be better off without you anyway" part sounded too much like Axl, that was TJ screaming the fuck out of it or an Axl snippet?

Snippet. Fair use. Please don't sue me.

  8. If I'm getting an Evader Customized Box Set, I'd like to have every song Buckethead worked on that also has Axl vocals. If Bucket recorded a solo for TIL, SR, WTTJ, SIDHY, The General, SCOM, or Just Another Sunday, I would love to hear any/all of it.

And, I'd like stems of every GNR song. Probably need to put this on an external HD or the cloud. I'll trade you my car for this.

And since those are pipe dreams, here's one more: I'd love to hear ANY NEW MUSIC from GNR before I die. Not live show recordings. Not re-imaginings of Better. Not another greatest hits or 'best of'. I have already bought all of that stuff both on cassette and CD (multiple times), and/or I have easy access to it on my hard drive or Youtube. New music please. Before my unborn child graduates from college. Please!

  9. I expect to hear nothing. Of course I hope I'm wrong.

I'd like to hear that Bucket's made a mind-blowing reverse on his stance on returning. Then I'd like to hear that two GNR albums of music featuring Bucket are being released the following Tuesday. Then I'd like to hear that the next show will be in my back yard, and that I can choose the setlist (you're all invited, byob).
