I like Campbell, and I have no comment on DJ until he's featured on a new GNR album. But, if DJ were to be replaced for some reason, and we are going to replace him with an oldie, I would like to recommend John Sykes.

Another GNR forum - who shares many members with this forum - did numerous other covers, including Estranged, The Garden, Civil War, TWAT, Chinese Democracy, and Locomotive. If you would like to hear those covers, you can find videos for them on my Vimeo.com page. Go to Vimeo, and search "evadergnr".

As for Catcher, I've received vocal parts for sections 1,3,8,9,10,11,13, and 14. I've also received rhythm guitars from GabrieL-TiT. Sections 2,5,7, and 12 are due today. Those of you that still haven't submitted, please send me an update.

Sections 4 and 6 are being replaced, and invitations to two alternates have been issued. They are being given some extra time to get theirs done. I'm also awaiting word from our lead guitar player, but have no need to set a deadline yet. We are still on track to have this done by May 10.

You should try and get that axlisold guy or whatever is name is.

He sang on a bunch of the songs on the other forum.

Thanks for the suggestion, Groghan. AxlisOld has an open invitation to participate, but he's extremely busy at the moment. First time I heard him sing, it was Estranged, and I was in awe. Would love to have him and a few others I've worked with in the past participate if slots open. There are some truly gifted singers and other musicians that are members of this forum, including some that are already participating on this cover of CITR.

Singers!!! You have 5 days to record your teeny little 15-second sections. Don't let the world of MyGNR down by not making it happen. If first drafts aren't submitted by Sunday, I'll be replacing you either with my 9-year-old nephew playing a kazoo, or someone else. Alternate singers prepare yourselves - I only have 3 out of 14 so far.

Also, singers - those of you that haven't done this type of thing before - please send your recording(s) with quality no less than 320kbps mp3. WAV or top-quality OGG are preferred. Full-frequency ranges of your golden voices deserve to be heard!! If you need help with this, please send me a PM.

If you wanna hear my voice first, it is there on the snippet video of OMG, that someone here joked on april fools(They manage to find my soundcloud ). If you are disapointed, you can erase my part.

Trying to sing just like Axl is not a requirement. The important thing is to sing it comfortably and sing it in key. Practice your part again and again and again, and you'll do just fine. I'll help you. In the end, after I work on it, if you decide you don't want your vocals included, I'm certain we'll have plenty of other people that would record in your place. No worries!
