  1. ...easy answer. Why do I come here? Because the new shit kicks ass. 'nuff said. The new music of GNR blows away the crap I hear every day on the radio. Yeah, Silkworms was a stinker in my eyes and there was a below average Oh My God, but all the rest kick tremendous ass. We haven't even heard the studio versions of these songs, but if the live and leaked versions are this good, they're sure to be killer in the studio.

if people are fed up with the wait, just leave. We've been waiting years and years and years, and the album's on its way very soon. If you want to bail, don't let the door hit ya in the ass. The negative a-holes will bash and bash, never go to a concert or buy an album, so why should supporters of this band give 'em the time of day? If your version of GNR is the old band, great, they were great. Live in the past.

    Guns N' Roses 2006.

I bet you said that in 2002.

  2. I know GNR fans have limited faith in the band, and are ready to jump on any rumor and take em as facts. And when they don't accure, they blame the band who never said it in the first place.

But this is just a thought about what might be going on in GNR camp.

Axls plan throughout this fall has been to release the album and get it out there. It has probably been done since september/october and it was probably handed into the record company. They looks at their release sceduale and sees that they have put all their big guns in november/december. The Recordcompany, regardless of what axl want's puts the album on delay and wants it as one big hit in the spring. With tunes that can go all summer. Becouse they would only hurt themself by releasing it now. When there is less competition for the bucks. More people will concider buying it. So why not release it then?

They are making Axl a Lier while doing so. but they don't care. Their marketingstratigy is gonna make em filty rich again. (hopefully)

Remember that 21st was only a rumor to begin with.

Just repeated enough times that people actually mistook it for truth.

If you're really this gullible I've got some great land in Arizona with an oceanfront view that I'd love to show you.

They'll push back an album over a decade in the making? Use your brain, doofus. Chinese Democracy IS the big gun, and there is not a bigger "gun" that the record company has than that album.

It doesn't matter anyway, albums don't get delayed like that becuase of other albums. This is Geffen records, who is distributed by Interscope records - they have multi platinum selling artists coming out the ass and will be releasing records by those multi platinum selling artists all year long.

  3. Oh give me a break. More excuses. Buckethead quit the band in 2004, if having his parts on the record was such a big deal then they've had the last two years to re-record his parts, and they didn't have any lead guitarist to do that with until they hired Bumblefoot a week before the Hammerstein shows.

Two years is all it takes for most bands to write and record a new album, but it takes more than that for Axl to re-record the stuff of ONE guitarist? Right.

This album is NEVER COMING OUT. Go and look at that timeline in Entertainment Weekly about all the promises from Axl and his management over the years that have never come to fruition. IN 1996 they said "We could see a GNR album out at the end of the year" - THE END OF WHAT YEAR?! It's 10 years later now and we're still sitting through the lies that Axl fed us in 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and once again this year.

The sooner you realize that Chinese Democracy is simply not going to be released, the better you'll sleep at night.

Why oh why do you come to a GNR board if you feel this way? Damn, if I feel I've been lied to over and over again, I get out of the relationship. Alot of the bashers around these parts must be masochists to the extreme. ;)

Axl said the album's coming out this year. I trust that it will. :xmasssanta:

Why do you come to a GNR board and believe the crap Axl spews about the CD after you've been lied to time and time again? That's like going on a date with Mike Tyson and expecting not to get raped.

  5. Oh I've stopped. I'm just trying to help the rest of these pour souls from wasting their hard earned cash.

Isn't that a polite way to describe senseless bashing?

Really, stop wasting your precious time here.

"Guns will be moving forward and surprisingly (without giving away any details) this unfortunate set of circumstances may have given us the opportunity to take our recording that one extra step further. Regardless we hope to announce a release date within the next few months." - Axl Rose, March 30, 2004.

  6. If you're a naieve moron with unrealistic expectencies that's exactly what you saw, yes. Stop moping over the old band and accept that this is reality and this is what we have.

This is what we have, but that doesn't make it Guns N' Roses.

Who or what tells you the band was even still going at that time? Maybe he had given up. Maybe he decided to pick it up again. I''m not saying that's it, but there's too much shit you don't know. So don't judge.

No, I think I know just plenty.

How soon you forget Axl's little apology letter after Buckethead quit. Allow me to refresh your memory on his final words from the letter..

"Guns will be moving forward and surprisingly (without giving away any details) this unfortunate set of circumstances may have given us the opportunity to take our recording that one extra step further. *looks at calander*

Well heck, it's only been 31 months! I'm sure we all have different definitions of what "few" means. :)

I'm gonna go ahead and say he didn't just decide to quit. More likely scenario? He crawled back into his hole up in the Malibu Hills and didn't come back out until he ran out of booze money.

If that's the case for you why don't you just stop allowing yourself to be ripped off and lay gnr to rest.

Oh I've stopped. I'm just trying to help the rest of these pour souls from wasting their hard earned cash.

  7. No. How about everybody just being glad we finaly saw some gnr huh? Live, for many for the first time. What is it? Whine season? Stupid threads are shooting up like mushrooms.

You didn't see GNR live. You saw Axl Rose live - with a cover band playing old GNR songs, under the guise that it was the "CHINESE DEMOCRACY TOUR", assuming to mean that they would be playing songs from CHINESE DEMOCRACY.

It's obvious to me that Axl was running low on dough and decided to do a tour to fill his pockets again.

If Axl was serious about a real comeback, why did they hire their new guitarist a week before the tour when Buckethead quit TWO FUCKIN' YEARS AGO.

It just totally feels like Axl rolled out of bed and decided he needed some money, so someone said.."Oh BTW, we don't have a lead guitarist" and then he just goes, "oh yeah, uhh.. well, find someone" and so here comes Bumblefoot right before the tour starts.

Think about how sad Axl's band has become - not only do we have guys playing a setlist primarily of songs off an album they didn't create, but we've got a guy (Bumblefoot) playing songs that someone else (Buckethead) recorded off an album that has never been released. He's covering songs from another guy who was covering songs from the guy before him!! This is ridiculous.

  8. You guys realize this all bullshit, right? I can't believe this has gone 34 pages.

There is no band called Far Downs, and HMV is getting no shipment from said band.

Seriously, are you people that gullible?

Albums can't just magically pop up at record stores and be shoved out onto the shelf that day. Stores need time to know what they are getting so they can clear space on the floor for it and know where it is going. They know what they're getting, when they're getting it, and where it's going when it gets there, so you can't have a bunch of albums shipped as a fake name and then be like.."HMM OH THIS IS GUNS N ROSES, WELL GOSH GOLLY ILL BE DARNED, LETS JUST GO DUMP ALL THESE CD'S IN THE 'G' SECTION AND MAKE ROOM FOR IT".

You know the reason people always come to these forums and post BS rumors about CD? Because you all believe it every time.

  9. Let's go on a little timeline of GNR fandom.

    - Hammerstein shows are booked, fans believe a release date and tour will be announced here, kicking things off for the big comeback.

    - Hammerstein shows pass, no release date, but a european tour is announced. THIS is obviously when unheard songs will be played and a release date will be announced, kicking things in motion for the forthcoming U.S. tour.

    - European passes.. nothing happens.. oh well fuck that european shit, as we all know those were just the "warm up shows" - they're saving the BIG GUNS for the U.S. tour!!! They'll definitely announce everything at Inland Invasion, since it's their first show back in L.A. in 15 years.

    - Inland Invasion passes, nothing happens (except a near riot)...well duh, the tour hasn't OFFICIALLY started yet, idiots! I'm sure Axl will make the OFFICIAL announcement regarding Chinese Democracy at the first tour date.

    - First show occurs, nothing happens... oh well, that show sucked anyway! They're saving it for MSG. After all, New York is Axl's home away from home and there's sure to be something big happening there!

    - MSG show takes place, nothing happens. SAME SETLIST. NO ALBUM NEWS.

So what's next? hmm.. I bet it will be when they return to L.A. in December! Ok, obviously they've played in L.A. already but that wasnt a REAL GNR show.. it was t he Inland Invasion with a bunch of other crappy bands. Since this will be an actual official GNR show, I'm SURE Axl will make a Chinese Democracy announcement then.

You just answered your own stupid question. "The fans believed that something would be announced." Nice work. Don't blame the band for your own pissy-pants expectations.

So it's wrong to believe something will be announced when you say Chinese Democracy will be out this year and name your tour after said album?

  10. While some people on this board will say last night's show was the best show of their lives, the majority of MSG last night was completely out of it after 5 songs...I kept wondering why was it in 2002 the entire garden rocked so much harder than it did in 2006. The loss of Buckethead and the failure to slot in guitarists that people actually care about is crippling Guns N Roses.

I think it's safe to say that Axl's re-invention of Guns N Roses will never work. Album or no album, there's just no real chemistry up on stage and DON'T TELL ME THERE IS! Just go watch the old Gunners on youtube and then tell me this band has similar chemistry. Axl keeps trying to get us to love these new musicians, which is why he gives them each way-too-long solo oportunities. Funny, these new guys could solo for hours and they never come close to matching a solo by Bucket or Slash.

Also, a filled MSG and AXL never ONCE mentioned the album...he never talked about the new songs, he didn't sing any news songs...in fact, the setlist wasn't bad, but the order of the songs was just off...once the crowd was out of it, they never returned.

I don't know, I wouldn't spend any more money seeing these guys live, in fact, I really don't want to see them live again. I'll buy Chinese D if it ever comes out, enjoy it, and pray he will reconcile with Slash and return GNR to it's former glory.

Axl if you can here me, GET SLASH BACK NOW! !!!

These Axlites have their head so far up his ass that he could do a show with Sideshow Bob on lead guitar and they'd think it was the greatest thing they've ever seen.

  11. We all know too, that Merck etc keep an eye on the boards - so if they see umpteen posts with demands for this, that and the other, along with "The album date will be announced at such and such a show", then the chances are, it aint gonna happen!

Yeah, do exactly what your fans don't want.

that's brilliant! I wonder why more bands don't do that!

Merck and Axl - always with their finger on the pulse of the music community!

You people are so dense it isn't even funny. No, nobody ever said there would be an announcement at any shows, I'm talking about the general feeling of this forum and HTGTH. When the few people like me and a few others tried to tell you all that this tour was just another sham for Axl to get some cash in his pocket and that there was no album, you all constantly threw out excuse after excuse.

I remember getting into a huge argument here with a few people in one of the last shows on the European tour when they were playing the same tired setlist that they're playing now, they were telling me, "You're such an idiot! Why would they waste new songs on Europe! These are just warm up gigs.. they'll unveil everything on the U.S. tour!"

And in the last few days leading up to this show EVERY one of you fuckers believed something big would happen at the MSG show, with all the release date rumors and stuff, don't even lie because you know it's true.

It's sad, because when this tour passes and nothing happens, you'll still be all clinging to Axl's scrotum.

  13. LOL @ Bumblefoot being better than Buckethead.

Funny how Bucket wasn't a "good fit" for GNR because he's a jackass and a pretentious, self-aborbed freak.

Uh.. does that mean Axl isn't a good fit for GNR?

whatever happened to "nice boys don't play rock and roll".

You guys want the "world's most dangerous band" on one hand, and on the other you want mr. fun bunch guitarist who replies to all your gay ass myspace messages.

  14. Sam Goody in Los Angeles said they have nothing in their computers about it and that if it was coming out this year, it would be in their computers. They've heard nothing from the record company about any GNR album.

I asked if it could just sort of pop up in a week or two and she said that can't happen because record stores need time in advance to know what is coming out and when.

  15. GNR would be retarded to release it on the 21st. Single on the 19th, album on the 28th sounds better. Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z both have albums coming out the 21st.

  16. Metallica has become the laughing stock of the metal community. Nobody respects them anymore. If GNR want to reconnect with the youth of today they are not gonna make that happen playing with a bunch of dinosaurs that can't do it themselves. It would simple be a nastolga tour.

GNR has become the laughing stock of the music community as a whole.

Metallica doesn't need to tour with Axl, they can still sell out any arena in the world, unlike Mr. Rose.
