Nick Compton's test career is over, he's taken an indefinite break from Cricket.
No surprise, he has spoken before about struggling with his cricket since Phil Hughes died.

Yeah, just nasty road rash and a few bits of skin I needed to cut off. I remounted the bike and did another two laps, but the brakes and rear wheel were too knackered to continue at competitive speed.
I did 22 miles today, was supposed to be 50 but my knee is too swollen. Pissed off, destroyed my brand new kit

Crashed my bike in a race yesterday. First proper accident I have had during a race, and normally it's because the group bunches and you bang wheels. I did this all on my own, throwing the bike into a corner with a nice amount of lean, then lowsided and hit the deck. Not fun, and required a trip into the ambulance to get my wounds sorted.
Shit happens.

Some people escaped by using the back door. Good job they knew how to find the back door so easily.

Don't you have some chemotherapy to go to or something?
And they say Chelsea fans have no class.

Fighting in the stadium, fighting on the streets, how are the Scouse going to blame it on everybody else this time??

We have the team to make the semi finals. Not sure about winning, think we would need some luck, and that's not been in Englands favour since a blind linesman in '66...

Apparently you're having work done on a stand and fans were going to steal seats?
As for your review of the game, spot on. The Liverpool players were really up for it in the first 15 minutes, but then Hazard was giving breathing space and the game was just like an exhibition for large parts.
-
Liverpool had to do a PA to tell fans not to steal club property. Chelsea fans naturally were laughing their heads off.

Why not?
'cuz Democracy.
Bristol has more than a single governing council, and only the centre of Bristol gets to vote for the Mayor, despite the fact that most people who live in Bristol and work in central Bristol are outside. It's mainly a business area and wealthy landowners who get to vote, or yuppies with high rents.
Some scumbags in shitty areas get to vote, but they're too focused on the dole queue.

Born in Bristol, live in Bristol, work in Bristol, can't vote for Mayor of Bristol.

Living together is hard, and the routine can be a joykiller.

I'm smashing records all over the place on my bike. It's great, and I'm doing loads for charity because of it.

Not going to schedule sex, it happens when it happens. Wish I got three times a week, but that's the crap thing about doing so much exercise. You both look hot, but are too knackered to act on the attraction!

No heart and no desire tonight in the second half. Where was the spirit of the Nou Camp 10 vs 11, or the Napoli comeback, or any of the other stunning games we played that year to win the trophy.

Just watched Spectre. Gripping in places. Brutal torture. Good film.

Normally the pikeys who take things from others.

Did a 5k run at lunch, PB'd it and then did my core work in the evening. Rewarding my week of hard work by having a pizza and poker night.

Isn't it fitted with a built in heart rate monitor and combines your resting heart + time at elevated heart rates + basal metabolic rate to work it out?
May be wrong, never really looked at them despite temptation.

Chelsea cruised it, Neville won a game and Adam Johnson's going down for noncing. Standard week?
Ps, do Johnson jokes go in here or the inappropriate jokes thread?

After 6 workouts in 7 days, I decided to have a rest day. My rest day was spent doing DIY, which involved a hell of a lot of strength and core work, so hardly a bloody rest day!

Wishing you luck Graeme - if it can happen for me, it will certainly happen for you!
Just out off buying something expensive as a treat for myself, have a feeling that a ring may not be all too far away, so it's time to save in prep for next year.
