  1. Wow that's a huge tour.

And they're coming to Vancouver! At a good venue, to boot.

STP, QOTSA, Megadeth, NIN, Coldplay, Oasis... that's a lot of bands to see in a four month span.

  2. I saw them on the Don't Believe the Truth tour, which was really awesome. My Generation was blistering.

I saw some videos of them during the Heathen Chemistry days and Liam was having voice problems and they hadn't had a hit for a while etc. DBTT was kind of a revitalizing album for them I think. Hopefully this next one is even better.

I'll definitely see this show in Van if I can afford it before it sells out. The Pemberton festival is like 300 bucks, Megadeth is coming, Queens of the Stoneage... lots to seeeee.

  3. so.....coming to vancouver would be cool :tongue2:

Yeah man, Pemberton? What the balls is that about, that place is tiny.

    well, its a music festival

yeah well, your face is a music festival.

    wow, you must be 14

Haha :). Just messin' my man!

  4. Sooo good.

I love On Every Street, the song. The outro is so cool, especially on a high-fidelity setup.

Love Over Gold is another cool one.

  5. I hear a lot of people saying Dangerous is a really underrated album nowadays. It certainly came out at an interesting time in music history.

  6. Man I don't really like much Pantera, but I can appreciate Vulgar Display of Power on some days.

Slayer goes too far for me, though :). I need more melody than Death Metal provides!!! Not to mention the lame lyrical subjects and the vocal stylings (DEATH DEATH DIE DEATH PAIN /TORTURED THRASH SOLO). I suppose they deserve credit for their creative vision and for helping spawn an entire musical genre, but I can't get into it at all. That's just me though, and as much as I dislike Death Metal or whatever you want to call it, you could find a lot worse in the genre. A LOT!

  7. Then 99% of the music bands must be shit then. You people are saying that a bands which sell millions without following the actual trend is shit, then everything is shit.

Only because you don't like a band, it doesn't mean it's shit. I don't like U2, but they survived every trend with success (like Bon Jovi), so they must be good.

highvoltage: 40 years old women only care for Bon Jovi? Then how can you explain I'm a 20 years old Bon Jovi fan who go to their concerts and buy their albums? How can you explain all these sell-out concerts? How can you explain me PERFECTLY how Bon Jovi got #11 on the list for top grossing tours of 2007 with only 22 shows?

    You aren't their target demographic

Bon Jovi will come to my city in May 24th

    owned.

I meant as a 20 year old male, not as a German or whatever you are. Read the entire post next time and put it in context -- not owned.

    :).

Bon Jovi have been doing shows on Ellen Degeneras, Oprah, and American Idol. You aren't their target demographic -- just a lovable anomaly in a sea of menopause.

  9. Pretty crazy how fast it died. I wish a backlash like that would spawn against the bastardized rap that's dominating the charts nowadays.

  10. Megadeth has had such a revolving lineup; that'll be tough to figure out. Wiki's got the band member history year by year all through the 80's though.

  11. It's becoming clear a lot of artists can't even fill up the damn things anymore without resorting to stuffing the tail end to the brim with filler.

Digital singles will probably become the dominant touted sales figures sometime down the road, unless some awesome shit happens in the industry (Grunge II?!).

    Guns N' Roses II!!!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness if things go to downloads I think we'll see less filler and end up with like 5 songs on an album. Which would suck major balls.

See I think that would be sweet. Especially if it meant more frequent releases.

  13. It sounds like there's potential -- a lot of problem with imitator bands is they don't have the chops, but the guitars sound pretty decent here. I just saw their video for the first time last night while going to sleep.

That single is painfully generic though.

And as much as I hate what Sebastian Bach has become, Slave To The Grind was pretty sweet :).

  14. I heard in an interview with Prince, that MJ wanted to do a double bill tour with him to sort of relaunch MJ's career again. Prince declined for a few reasons which I don't specifically remember, but he told MJ that he should do some acoustic shows... like MTV unplugged type deals, and just showcase his voice.

I thought it was a cool idea. As someone said, his albums became too produced and perfectionist, and it would be cool to see the raw talent of the man behind it all.
