Slash's playing really changed quite a bit and I agree, he might be able to play faster now but everything else was so much better back then. Sometimes I think it's the drinking that made the difference. It's the biggest difference between then and now.

It was a bad idea to start with (Chinese leftovers with Slash and Duff overdubs) and HS/ Absurd is all the proof you need. This would only make some kind of sense if everything from the Chinese sessions was pure gold that can't be topped but this is clearly not the case.
