I do really think that Axl and BH were on the same page at one point but clearly the demands of the label, the public, reunion agendas by management probably made it an impossible reality. Then when you add in all the mis steps Axl himself has taken it ended up a bit of a mess. Buckethead was probably right to be hesitant in the first place but it's not like he ultimately didn't get what he wanted from the gig, his profile was raised ten fold and he is the most iconic image of nuguns. I'm sure he was pissed by the statement Axl put out but I think it was Axl who lost out overall.

I think thats the point, Axl hasnt done jack shit with his career, almost everything hes done has been about surviving to have a career. There was no record when there was no market for it, they tour bcos thats the model thats emerged. If the money was in releasing akbums thats what theyd do.

There is nothing to say they can't do both though.

Anastasia could be an epic song. I do like it and Slash's guitar work is inspired but everytime I listen I'm slightly disappointed by the lyrics and chorus. They lack something that could have taken it to the next level. Jmo though :-)

Amy was at a Vegas show. She posted a FB pic with a caption about being in tears watching her amazing brother. It was very touching actually. I don't think they are involved in the band anymore, they probably have their own lives going on.

I wonder how he feels about the current management situation? It's been a couple of years now since TB took over, if he wasn't happy with the direction and management for any reason (and assuming there were issues that couldn't be talked through or worked out) he has wedged himself into a bit of a tight spot. He can't fire any of them as he did with previous managers without damaging important personal relations. I have to say personally I would be reluctant to ever go into business with family or close friends for this reason.

UYI 2 that might be an age thing maybe, if you asked the 18 year old me I might have said AFD. I like a lot of the lyrics on CD so would put that before UYI 1. To summarise

New songs would be good but it would also be great to see a spark of anything whether that was putting out a book, doing some unexpected artist collaboration. I suppose anything that is suggestive of the drive to do something other than tour, drink and party. Good post. I would say that motivation mostly comes from within, the desire to achieve something. He was hungry for that in the 80s but now I guess it's a bit more been there, done that and he doesn't have the same drive. NuGuns #1 didn't quite work out as he hoped not did CD so maybe he doesn't see the point.

If we look back at early motivations of original Guns Axl was always the one with the grand plan, obviously he is a great musician but it could be said back then at least he was more motivated by the bigger vision than the music it's self. Slash in contrast clearly just loves playing his guitar, anywhere with anyone which is probably why he is motivated to keep churning music out as he probably doesn't have a grand plan.

Most of the current guys are very accomplished musicians but I can see why they might not inspire him to write, the set up of this band is very different from the old one, he is their boss not their equal and I'm sure even if they all get along neither side ever forgets it.

Im not sure interviews like this with our underage moderators will do us any favours, or perhaps madison ruined any hope in a better relationship with the band.

Got a fuckton of picks last night; McBob gave both my mom and I like 5 BBF picks at the end, Tommy gave my mom one, then Fortus gave us each one. Mid-show my mom asked Richard if he was feeling okay, and he just slipped a pick into her hand and shook his head no. He was pretty out of it for most of the show.

My mom and I both feel like shit today, we woke up with the worst fucking headaches. Probably just exhaustion kicking in from the last 2 days.
