See the previous page for more info, but the long and short of it:

Some of Bucket's guitars were stolen from storage, including the original modified Les Paul Custom that his signature model was based on. A Buckethead die hard named Taylor purchased the stolen Custom and returned it to Buckethead.

Ah, I knew they'd been stolen, but didn't realize this was who returned it. Many thanks.

Frank is the most normal person in the band. I actually bumped into him taking NJ Transit into New York City in late 2018 or early 2019. I don't think anyone else in Penn Station even knew who he was, and I didn't want to bug him, but he was just walking through the train station with a backpack, no doubt on his way to a gig while I was heading home from work.

Yeah, I met him outside of The Apollo and he was extremely cool with everyone. Take note, Fernando.

What did he say? New album in 6 months?

I thought he was just an official dude who worked at the venue, so I asked him where Axl was being dropped off, he told me "across the street" which was obviously a lie. I also asked him if there were extra tickets at the box office and he lied and said there were and he'd be right back (that was also a lie). Kind of funny, but a bad move to alienate fans seeing New GNR at a small venue.

  4. I was just thinking of starting this topic up again, except I was going to call it: "If Axl Went Solo..." and ask everyone where they think we'd be.

Personally, I think we would have have had the album much sooner, perhaps more music released, the general public would have been more open to it and would have given it the fair shake it deserved, I think it would have found it's footing with the industrial crowd and the older fans, who maybe did not like this direction, would have just ignored it.

I also think Axl would have been much, much happier and had an easier time. The press has always been hard on him, but they were merciless at times without Slash there. They might have just been more favorable towards what he wanted to do and given the new band the praise they deserved. He also wouldn't have had to prove so much. I respect the hell out of what he was trying to do (move the GN'R sound forward), but he was up against a boulder you just can't move (what GN'R is to the general public).

This might mean that the band is much happier too. And with less shit thrown at them by fans and the press (sometimes literally) and more music out, maybe Bucket sticks around longer, maybe Robin is more satisfied too. It's all speculation, of course, but not going solo had some big perks and some serious burdens. And hey, maybe we would have gotten the reunion sooner and Axl could do his solo thing in his downtime and maybe he'd find this whole thing more inspiring.

He still would have been a perfectionist in the studio and worked bizarre hours, but he was ready to put that thing out in 2000 when they told him "no" and then they worked on it for eight more years. But we know from the Village leaks that that shit was basically done in 2000. And judging by the billion comments that said things like, "Axl was right all along!" people would have been receptive to what he wanted to do. It's just a shame what having the name "Guns N' Roses" may have cost him and us.

I don't know what his job was at the time, but he clearly found a way to make it work. It doesn't interest me enough to care so maybe I misunderstood you, but it's the old saying of where there's a will, there's a way and his was to travel with Gn'R and enjoy vip treatment.

But did he have to be a douche bag about it?

he did the math, soldout, and got his reward. Kinda disgusting, but understandable. As a fan he got to travel with Gn'R for selling out. I remember in one of the clips Bumble posted years ago from the tour, he mocked him to his face and it was obvious he really didn't like him. ( singing "frosty lucky charms, magically thinlicious" to the camera while recording the clip)

HA! I'd do dirty things to see that video now.

But yes, he did the math and it largely worked out for him. But as cool as it is to tour with GN'R, would you want to do walking on eggshells, taking shit from Bumble, and unable to bite back?

I remember when people on his site were complaining about something GN'R did that was obviously a bad move. I can't remember what it was, but his reply was, "You want a normal, boring band? We love them because they're not like other bands." Even writing that makes my eyes roll.
