  1. I think it's a bandana thing around his neck. (Or were you kidding? Either way I can't unsee the V neck with a red shirt underneath now )
  2. A GNR show won't do the homosexuals any good either. Big acts doing shows there will benefit the leaders/leading class of those countries imo, and that's what I personally wouldn't want to be doing. I don't want to support a country like that in any way. GNR can be political with Trump (not my president) and Ukraine (the flags), but then do a show in a country where it's illegal to be gay? Yeah, sorry, I don't get that. I wonder if none of the crew are gay.
  3. It's despicable they do shows in UAE, I think. It just shows what their principles and values are worth. It's not as if they need the money, so I see absolutely no excuse to do shows there at all.
  4. I'm happy Duff's releasing new stuff. This does sound like something on Tenderness. Not necessarily something I'd listen to endlessly, but I can listen to it, just a chill song. It's just a bit annoying that every time Slash or Duff comes with something new, I'm just reminded of the nothingness that is Axl/GNR. When I hear from GNR, it's to sell me ugly merch and just last week they promoted their diecast GNR car as a Mother's Day present. Seriously. It reminded me of the bowling ball Homer got for Marge's birthday. Sorry, I had to vent about the ridiculousness of it all. But on a positive note: yay for giving us music, Duff. It would be nice if he toured in Europe again. I always like the small venues Slash and Duff tour, so happy with their solo efforts, as always.
  5. The Pretenders is a big act though. I would assume they cost more than Grace McKagan, Tyler Bryant and whatever the other ones were called. Gojira, Volbeat, Greta Van Fleet and Manic Street Preachers are bigger names, but still not like Pretenders. When I saw GNR in 2017 at Werchter Classic Festival, Pretenders were there too. I would enjoy seeing them again, as I would assume many people in their forties or over would. They have lots of classics everyone knows. Chrissie Hynde is great. Calling her the chick who sang with Phoebe is like calling Axl the dude who rocked the rock with Bugs Bunny. (I know it wasn't you who said that.)
  6. Netherlands. It was supposed to be at Landgraaf with 60,000 ppl expected, but as only 15,000 tickets had been sold last month, they moved it 60K to a smaller venue with a 30,000 capacity that has a festival the weekend before. I haven't really followed or kept up with the rest, so no idea how they're doing.
  7. We know they've been recording new (whatever new is) stuff though. Slash has said so, and years ago Fernando said the new album would be out in six months. But then it had to wait because of corona, I believe, because it was disrespectful to release an album at a difficult time. I'm paraphrasing, it must be over 3 years ago. I have no hope for at least this year. We know the shows (or at least one show) are selling poorly. If they had something big as a new release waiting to happen, surely they would have promoted that to boost ticket sales. So my expectation is nothing new is coming at all this year. They don't even pretend it's a new show, or hint at something exciting is supposed to happen. The last 'exciting' thing happening was the whole Spotify thing and we had to come up with it ourselves. I honestly expect more excitement drummed up by hopeful diehards than the band at this point.
