I can't get into it much because I'm on a phone and about to board a plane, but I think it's pretty convenient for our Axl mythology how we pretend he doesn't know this shit is going on. He knows damn well he ok'd a GNR slot machine. He knows damn well he played a wedding for cash money. He knows damn well about the lol meet and greets. Axl is GNR, right? All the good and the bad from here on out is squarely on his shoulders.

You're all horrible people. I've never sold cookies from door to door, but had that happened to me, I would've never gotten over it and felt even more insecure than I did before.

It may work if they were evil kids, like MB's oldest daughter ( ), but not if you're a little insecure, like Lenny's little niece.

As for them selling cookies unsupervised: that would happen where I live too. I guess it depends on where you live.

Personally, I wouldn't let my daughter sell homemade cookies, but maybe those girls have lousy parents that don't even help them bake good cookies. So the girls do the best they can, are proud of their (burned) cookies and get their pride smashed by the neighbour.

Not saying it went like that, Apollo, but I'd feel sorry for them immediately and make up all sorts of stories about those poor little girls. That's just how my mind works.

JMO, I think since they are only 9 years old you should have thanked them and slipped them a couple of bucks for having the courage to go door to door to sell their cookies which they most likely were very proud of making themselves even if inedible.

If they were your children I agree you should mentor them with the truth, diplomatically, but somebody else's children donot need to be lectured by a stranger especially since they were not doing anything wrong. As a stranger they didn't need you to tell them the "truth" as you are not their parent or coach which in that case they want and need you to advise them. Sometimes we need to encourage children just for trying hard to accomplish something even if their attempt was not a total success.
