I hope @Rovimis happy that there seems to be atleast 1 "new" song at the endI would say chances are it's the 1 lone instrumental on the album

11. Stormy Day (feat. Beth Hart)
12. Metal Chesnut“Killing Floor” is the first single. Must be awkward for Axl to see Slash collab with the guy he replaced in acdc lol.
This is some VOODOO shit, with my joke list I got Track 2 AND Track 3 correct, in not only the songs, but also the actual album order. WTF

An album with songs with Brian, Steven Tyler and Axl on it would really be incredible. Then also have artists that crossover like Demi Lovato, would be a pretty great move to make to gain more traction for the album. Hopefully we'll find out tommorow. I really don't care who wrote the songs, that's one way to ruin the enjoyment of your ears by interference from your brain. The real exciting part is who sings and performs on it, not who came up with it, literally couldn't care less lol. I listen to music because it's audio-electricity, and any Slash album always delivers that.

I couldn't care less who wrote what, I want to see who played and sings on the songs, goddamn it. The ACDC connection is exciting, must be either Angus or Brian then, or a cover of The Jack or Ride On which would be cool too. Imagine Axl and Angus on the same track.

Among others they played The Thrill Is Gone in Blues Ball, but since this is basically promo for the new single, I doubt it’s a cover song. So either Teddy has written his own lyrics and melodies or he plays an instrument. I tend to the latter.
Lead single new original song The Thrill Is Here confirmed

I really hope this is good, his last two albums were middling at best
Can you imagine if the whole album is just songs like Ain't Life Grand, the title track? That would be an actual dream come true for me, I always loved that song. If that really happens this will probably skyrocket to my favourite Slash project ever.

Screems for some harmonica.
He used to do lead vocals also, and they were pretty great. I recall him doing Neither Can I. Slash has a couple badass blues songs under his belt, that one aswell as Ain't Life Grand. I will be stoked as hell if the whole album is just songs like those 2.

That Bad Apples rendition was actually fairly solid, I have never been like the biggest fan of the song as I always considered it more on the filler side of UYI, but it does have an energy live that I dig
Same with the 1991 Rio version it's fantastic, actually like that better than the studio version

Doubt he forgot about this. He must had to listen to the song again to even remember how to play it, and he would notice the different tone there, especially on the intro.
It's strange he's playing it with a Les Paul if he does remember. He always changes to the type of guitar he recorded the songs with, like on YCBM for example, where he changes also.
-
Bad Apples holy shit they really played it. Been waiting for GNR to play this forever but this is the next best thing better than never hearing it in any capacity live. I wonder if Slash remembers he recorded Bad Apples with a strat, that was the first thing I noticed when watching that performance, he probably does not remember much of 1991 lol.

I'd love it if Steven Tyler was on it. Didn't Slash want him on the last solo album, or he got him but the song was shelved? Something like that?
Yeah Aerosmiths label blocked it at the time, maybe it is that song that was shelved back in 2010. Seems that they might have got it figured out this time, now that we have pics of Steven and Slash in a studio together.

Thank god former Squeeze member Paul Carrack got in on this, now it will be a hit

It's an interesting question, will they ever bring Fitzy if Frank gets sick? It's a nobrainer for everybody, but for Axl?
How is it a no brainer, Brain is every bit as good as Fitz and has also already played with the band before.

I would rather see Fitzy play it probably than Frank do something weird with it and ruin the song.
I don't think you understood my question, instead of answering me you just made an identical post as your earlier one, just with different words. I could literally copy paste my question to your reply again

No thanks, I don't want to see Frank Ferrer mess it up.
That's stupid - the only other alternative is you seeing him ruin the same old shit. So you like that better then? Because it has to be one or the other.

I would love to know what was Axl's tought on this
Maybe he will use it as a tutorial to sing it during the next GNR tour No joke I think it would go over well it's mostly in his lower voice which still sounds every bit as good as it ever did. It's clearly not at all impossible to sing as we have just seen.
If he figures it out this would probably be the best addition to the setlist since Coma in 2016. Unexpected, not done at all before, and just a great present for the fans, this is one of GNRs most AFD-sounding and AFD-quality rockers, it's too bad it never got it's due live. This and Breakdown are the last 2 "big" songs of the deep cuts left that they could still pull out as a new addition to the set.

I'd be happy if Axl was just playing piano... I hope there's at least 1 or 2 instrumental songs on this album, Slash was doing some nice bluesy solo spots a few years ago. I'd love a studio version of Wichita and I don't care whether it's released by GNR or Slash solo, it would be great. I always thought Parisienne Walkways would be a perfect fit for Axl and Slash to cover...
Slash could "lure" Axl in to record by having Dave Grohl play drums on the track or something lolI'm not in the -Axl is unlikely to be on the album- group, I definitely think the chance is much higher than people think, 50/50 to me. Also didn't GNR cover Parisienne Walkways back in the club days? I somehow recall that being thrown around in this forum somewhere, maybe it was just a rumour.

It would be nice to have Axl sing on one track. I know it's extremely unlikely but other band members have guested haven't they?
My guess is if Axl is on it at all then in my estimation it would 99% be a cover, like Wichita, Walk All Over You or some other song he loves. Can't see him really being excited recording vocals for a new Slash solo song.

Well then he better listen to those songs with headphones on and rehearse the shit out of them
He didn't for many GNR songs, I doubt he has any more motivation to do so for his little solo shows lol. You can only make a multi millionaire "work" so muchTbh if I was THAT rich and in my late 50s, I'd phone it in too, it doesn't really matter, it really doesn't make a difference to ticket sales anyway
Slash's blues album set for May; single out now. SERPENT festival announced
