From the night club recording of The General, it doesn't sound like a catchy single which could win the casual fan over. To be fair neither does Perhaps with it's notachorus but it's a piano driven ballad. General sounds weird and angry. Perhaps by the end of the year if we are lucky.

Listened to the clip of General being played in a club on some fairly decent quality headphones, it really helped. I feel like I've heard like 50% more than I had before. Axl screaming rant, guitars..lots of ooo hoos. Listening to it gets me excited.

..he's never sound checked a new song ..has he? Maybe once or twice for MTV but He's barely ever there. I don't think anyone should get their hopes up but I also wouldn't try to predict something based off Axls behaviour.
