My friend has the Guns n' Roses comic with the Terminator in it. GN'R and Arnold - my two favorite things ever. So damn awesome.

This is definitely the type of poll a fanbase gets on a forum when the band has released one album in the past 25 years

I wanted (and still do want) some new music dammit so uh...I guess to protest or something I made AxlRoseCDII my username? Actually don’t remember why I did that lol

Haven’t the other conspirators been talking about recording new material and have been seen in studios recently? I’m pretty sure this is just for SMKC...or just Slash ft. random singer and the Conspirators.

Started getting into GTA Online on my Xbox 360 recently for the first time.
just a little late of course

The choir class I’m taking is doing a Broadway style night. As it stands, I know nothing about Broadway shows but want to audition for a solo. I want to do something possibly in the likes of Rock of Ages, because even though I have a limited knowledge of Broadway, I would be able to do a song that is just basically a song with slight variations in the Broadway version (Example: wanted dead or alive).
Does anyone have any knowledge on famous rock or pop songs used in Broadway type musicals or shows? Or does anyone have any suggestions just for fun Broadway songs to sing in general? I am a male, high tenor. Any help will be really appreciated.

I really, really, really want to like it. But the version we got on the album makes me just...not. We talked about this on another thread recently but I’m just not a fan of the Axl vocals (too 2002-esque) and I am not a fan of Bumbles solos.
But the actual structure, lyrics, and most of the instrumental are fucking great. I just wish that they did a bit more work to this song, since as it was, it felt like filler on Chinese.
One major pro is that Riad is a great, 4 minute, OG Guns style, rock song. This, Scraped and debatably IRS are the only ones like that on Chinese.

I love the vocal melodies in Shacklers Revenge and think Axl does a great job of harmonizing with himself. Have been listening to that track a lot recently, severely underrated song.

Off topic: The nerd is a CD fan
That review pretty much summarizes every thought I have ever had about Chinese Democracy. Such a good and balanced review in my opinion.

I can't wait to see how the naysayers here react. Some people just can't read between the lines.
Let’s see where we are in terms of new music in 6 months then.

Here’s my longer, more serious answer.
There are many things blocking a new Guns release from taking place, many of which that people don’t seem to take into account.
1.) Compatibility. I truly don’t believe Axl and Slash would see eye to eye on a new record. Compare Chinese to any SMKC album- completely different. Keep in mind that this is one of the factors that broke up the band in the mid 90’s, differing ideas of what the next Guns album should be.
2.) The actual content of new music. Chinese II is in a very akward state. Axl had plans to release it in 2015, and had been working on those songs for quite a while. It’s not as easy as “Slash and Duff record new overdubs and the album is done”. You have to sign off on many past members- Finck, Pitman, Freese, Tobias, Bumble as well as go into every song and replace specific parts. It’s not an overnight job and this also ties in to the first point because think about it- does Slash actually want to just overdub people who Axl replaced him with? And everyone says “okay fine, scrap the CDII content and write a new record”- which for some bands, a new album could be done in 6 months, but, my next point...
3.) Axl. Love the guy. But he is incapable of releasing anything on time. Chinese was in development hell for over a decade and so is its alleged sequel. You also have to remember that his trademark voice he may have used on CDII songs may not be the same anymore. And everyone thinks it’ll be done in 6 months? Cmon.
4.) SMKC has confirmed to be working on a new album. Myles would really only have to spend 2-3 weeks to record vocals. The rest of the band can be recording in the meantime and Slash could potentially even write some of the lyrics. Many people have confirmed SMKC is together and I don’t believe there’s any lying going on to protect us from knowing there’s a new Guns album. Look at the facts everyone.
Wake up and smell the (Guns n’) roses.

To quote the Angry Video Game Nerd, recording new music for this band would be like “trying to pick fly shit from pepper while wearing boxing gloves. It’d be easier to dodge rain without your heels or toes touching the ground.”
tldr; no

Is it odd that Slash is referring to the NITL tour in past tense when there are still dates for this year's European festival circut?
Because 2018 is the NITL reunion for Axl and DJ Ashba of course.

Yeah, I'm afraid Breakdown does nothing for me, except that final outro segment - that piano fucking rocks. Don't get me wrong, I like it well enough, it just doesn't move me and it really does lean too far to the Country side of things for my taste. Also, I find it a frustrating song in that it builds and builds and then there's seemingly no pay off. Except the outro.
Locomotive is in my personal top 5 Guns songs but it's not perfect by any means. It's too long (that's Axl for you) and Axl's vocals in the outro really annoy me, always have done, yet the song wouldn't be the same without those imperfections (well, what I perceive as imperfections anyway). But yeah, that outro to me, is like nothing else. It's like a religious experience. LOL
Don't worry no one ever joins me whenever I say I love Shotgun Blues. There are literally 3 other people on this forum who like Shotgun Blues. And Riad. Apparently, I like all the songs everyone else hates.
I like Shotgun Blues personally, but when I put it next to the other Guns songs in comparison I find myself not enjoying it as much. With Riad I like the idea of it but the final take we got on Chinese was, to quote Gordon Ramsey, dreadful.
On topic, you put anything with Breakdown in a poll and I’m guaranteed to vote for it. Criminally underrated song that warms me up whenever I listen to it.

Wayyyyy worse. My mental issues have spiraled this year, I’ve figuratively lost the most important person in my life, binge ate a shit ton over the summer (dieted and worked out to get back to healthy) and not much really went my way this year. I’m ready for 2018 for sure. Plus I started my ‘17 by throwing up (I don’t even drink so it wasn’t by that!) so that wasn’t a good way to start the year

He’s not coming back to Guns, but you can expect some type of collaboration with Axl on his trademarked “WAR” project.

3.) Buckethead
4.) Craig Nelson
5.) Elton John
6.) Paul McCartney

9.) Bill Cosby
10.) Ed O Neil

I really enjoyed the GTA games we got on PSP...then they ported them to the PS2 and I couldn’t justify a reason to have one anymore since I prefer home console gaming

Axl sounded great this show but the whole fight with stephanie seymour made him sit most of the show
Reminds me of the 2010 show where he was pissed about something in Dublin and sat the whole show- sounded like he did on the studio versions for that concert.

Had some pretty good gems on it and worked pretty well as a console but in my opinion lost fairly to the DS who had much better games than it had.

Yea these lists are only ever of people with high profiles and high profile bands, there are tons better unknown guitarists out there than some of these. Good to see Satchel though, atleast they got that right.
Also lol, "gutted Bumble wasnt in recent GNR shows". Yea who wouldn't want to see him back?..right behind Izzy, Adler, Matt, or Gilby.
At least he’s above Ashba and Tobias right?
