I wanted a new Guns album for many years, look at my damn username! But the thing is I've accepted that it's never going to come to fruition. It's a fantasy, a myth. I promise you all once you accept there will never be another Guns album for the rest of your life, you'll be so much happier. There are thousands of great albums that you know exist and can enjoy instead that actual exist and there are hundreds of bands that actually release music.

Friendly reminder how well the Switch is doing right now.
The Nintendo Switch has sold 2.5 million units alone in Japan. For contrast, the PS4 has sold 5.5 million and has been out since early 2014. There.
I gotta hand it to Nintendo: one of the worst selling traditional, main consoles of all time to one of the best on the next go around. They sure did their research.

I'll be absolutely shocked if DJ has anything to do with GNR music ever again
It won’t be Guns music however, this is something to do with Axl’s solo projects: as @Sosso mentioned it has the same “WAR” as Axl Rose trademarked.
Im not a supporter of it either, I hate DJ Ashba as a guitar player but I’m not blind to what’s happening. If he captioned the photo with anything else besides WAR at the end I wouldn’t blink twice. Even if it was all lowercase I wouldn’t think of it. But the way Ashba wrote WAR in all caps says something.

This thread blow of proportion😨all is pure speculation.😒
From pretty major hints. Trust me, I’m the furthest thing from a DJ Ashba fan but his most recent Instagram post all but confirms some form of collaboration with Axl.

Just because of how extremely difficult it is to imagine Axl releasing something
Oh I 100% agree- whatever this is I don’t doubt that the chance of it getting released in the next 5 years is close to 1%.

The only reason I believe that Ashba’s post is related to an Axl solo project is his caption on the post reading “Ready for WAR” with a touring rig set up of 7-8 guitars. The way he capitalized WAR, as well coincidences with Axl’s most recent trademark of merchandise and what not. WAR = William Axl Rose. I don’t get how people think it’s related to an Ashba solo album under these circumstances.

I haven't got around to watching Rock in Rio yet but I agree that the 2017 version of Jungle wasn't as good as I was expecting.
Didn't Axl get in shape after the January 2001 shows?
Wasn't he leaner at the New Years Eve show in 2001?Save yourself some time, the Rio ‘17 proshot is severely embarrassing- mainly for Axl but the whole band as well. Was really an off night for them.

I don’t think Ashba is ever going to be back in Guns. I see this as a legitimate Axl solo project of some sort to get out unreleased Chinese II or III music. Isn’t that what the majority of you have been pressing for, no? Solely Axl focused music to be released under his solo career?

Just a throwback post about his overall career and just had to put a Slash-less nu-GNR with Duff pic up, no?
He also just posted an Instagram photo with the caption “Getting ready for WAR”...so take that as you will

Huh...this is interesting and scary at the same time.
Of course an Axl solo project would have Ashba on lead guitar of all people
-
Slash sure moves quickly! Wonder what Axl’s up to since the tour ended

Slash: Axl, I don’t mind a CD song here or there, but I refuse to play Riad.
Axl: Do you want to go back to playing theaters with Myles Kennedy?
Duff: *thinking* “Do you want to go back to playing half filled arenas with DJ Ashba?

The thing is almost any other 2017 performance of Jungle surpasses the 2001 RIR performance. But the actual RIR ‘17 performance itself was much weaker than RIR ‘01. I narrowly gave it to ‘17, though.
”Do you know NACHO THE FUCK YOU ARE”
Oh, Axl...

Izzy has a farm, no?

I’m seriously convinced that since Axl has been singing that song the way he has since the 2000’s that he legitimately thinks that those lyrics belong in that part of the song. I mean, he got them put in the teleprompter and everything...

80s/90s > 2006 > 2010 > 2016-2017 > 2002(more stamina here, but the effort he did for NITL is definitely... okay I'll let people argue about this) > 2012-2014
100% spot on. I know the 2002 voice is preferred by some but I never liked that voice personally. Shame because the 2002 lineup may be the most powerful Guns lineup musically but his voice always made me go “eh...” and makes listening to those boots harder.

Scratch my whole post. My actual favorite moment:
Axl rasping “YEAH BOIII” at the last show blew my mind.

My favorite thing about this was tour was chatting with everyone over each show on the forum. This tour was my first few years on the forum and was the first tour I’ve been on since I joined. I live streamed the Trobadour (Fede), Vegas, Coachella, RIR ‘17, Most of Apollo, and the final one in LA. Shoutout to everyone I’ve chatted with over Skype and such. That was my personal favorite moment is not just following a tour- but being part of a community that follows the tours together
My favorite moments from the actual shows are:
* Coma returning to the set
* Axl sounding like he did in the 80’s on My Michelle and OTGM (especially on the last show)
* Adler. Damn he’s still got it!
* No more Chris Pitman’s awful backing vocals
* Axl being happy and changing his life around
* Madgascar, Prostitute and TWAT being set list regulars. Axl spoiled us Chinese fans!
* Going to my first Guns show live in ‘16
As much as I dog on this band sometimes I do love it still even if it has some problems. I’m a realistic optimist is all.
Rock on GNR!

I prefer it as well for some reason. Probably because it was one of the first videogames I ever owned.
Sonic Mania will probably end up being my new favourite, though I haven't played it much yet.I just think the levels are more enjoyable and I prefer each zone having 3 acts to 2.
My issue with Mania is I’m one of those fucks who refuses to buy anything digital since I’m a collector and only support physical media

Breezed through the first Sonic The Hedgehog game this afternoon for no real reason besides just wanting to play it. Everyone hates me for this but for me I prefer it to Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
Yeah I said it lol

It’s definitely interesting, it’s changed my whole outlook of songs. I find myself actually wanting to add and write the instrumentals rather than be the lead singer who says “yeah I’ll add vocals once the track is done”

Neither of those things are going to happen, but they'd sure be nice.
That's my thing: I've always said "GNR fans need to vote with their wallet" but that doesn't even matter anymore. The market will let this go on for years and years now :/
The issue with fans voting with their wallets is 95% of the audience are casuals and couldn’t give two shits about seeing the same show twice

Because the lead singer, while a brilliant man, simply is unable to materialize on new music. We are admist the biggest tour possibly of their careers (rivaled by the UYI tour) and we have Slash collaborating with Myles,Axl possibly working with Ashba, Duff doing his side bands, and Dizzy releasing a solo album. Tell me, how can there be music when the lead singer, who owns the name of the band, refuses to release anything and has shown no signs of wanting to release anything with Slash and Duff back in the fold. We have gotten one album in 25 years from Axl. If he was willing to work on new music, I guaren-damn-tee you Slash would not be recording a new album with the Conspirators and a Guns album would take immediate priority.
You mention that Chinese was once conceived as a myth or fantasy, which is a fair point. However, the album had a name since what, 1999? Axl was talking about how much he wanted to release it during those 9 years in interviews and everything.
The alleged "new album" doesn't have a title. The lead singer does not even know for sure if he wants to release new music with this lineup soon. Assuming we even get a name for the album within the next few years, we could still have up to 9 years before anything will even come to fruition. Keep that in perspective.
In 2001, 16 out of 20 songs played are still setlist regulars today. This isn't a setlist discussion of course, but when the lead singer is comfortable with touring with a similiar setlist 17 years later it says something.
