Nightrain doesn't guarantee access to the best tickets, only first shot at tickets.  I raised hell about this years ago when I paid for Nightrain. It's not good enough to have first dibs on subpar tickets, it only means something if you have the opportunity at the best tickets. I feel bad for people who pay for the membership expecting to have access to any seat in the house. Unless you legit want the merch paying for Nightrain is a waste of money.

Yup! This is pretty ridiculous. I learned this the hard way in 2016.

Is it cool or does it get tiring/boring?

I mean of course, the place/venue, people/crowd adds to the experience. But I meant the band and the show itself, with almost same setlist. Not judging or mocking, in fact,  I am contemplating on watching 2-3 shows in Europe this July, but I am afraid I might find it boring the 2nd time around in such a short time. Or you guys still get lots of fun?

    THANKS!

I’ve done this with other bands and it’s more the “event” that’s the fun, meeting up with other fans who made the trek and having drinks the night before and day of the show. Make it a holIday soundtracked by GnR.

The thing on the side says tickets range from $130-650+ but they've only released a few of the upper bowl seats for now. So probably $130 on Friday for the cheapest tickets... I'll be waiting for prices drops.

I'm guessing pit will be $350 on Friday...

Thank you Brother, I too will be waiting for the cheap tickets. Either on the day or outside the venue.

The worst GNR show I've seen was Vancouver 2017 though, and that's largely because the sound at BC Place is fucking garbage.

    I can’t figure that place out…

I’ve seen a few bands in there and it’s all over the shop sound wise. AcDc in 2009 sounded brilliant, AcDc in 2015 sounded shitty. McCartney sounded great in there twice. Mostly it’s sounded how GnR sounded that night. A mush of bass echoing about the place. Stadiums are the worst place to see any band. Way worse than an outdoor venue…

Most of the bands I’ve seen in the last 20 years, I’m seeing them for the nth time, like with GNR, if I do go to this, it’ll be my 7th time, I saw all those bands up close in the 90s, so now when buying a ticket I just want the cheapest way in and the best sound. Problem is a lot of those bands play a lot of places that weren’t designed for playing music.

Ive been in 35+ different stadiums for gigs, and It may sound odd, but the best sounding spot I’ve found in most stadiums is furthest from the stage and halfway up the stand. Its way less mush sounding than it is on the ground floor. It’s the aural equivalent of sitting in the back row of the cinema rather than being close to the screen. You get a better soundscape a bit further back. I can see the stage, yeah they’re ants, but even with a ground floor ticket they’re only slightly bigger ants in a stadium, so I figure I’m paying to hear the band and that’s it.

If I can get that ticket in BC place for $80, I’ll probably be there, siting back nice and baked taking it all in.

We are overachieving this season. We are ahead of schedule.

I would have been happy with finishing tenth and winning the league cup.

Do the league cup winners qualify for the Europa League, the Europa Conference League or neither?

It’s more ahead of schedule than it is overachieving. Newcastle played some solid football this year. Pope, Trippier, Schar, Almiron, Longstaff, Bruno, have all been excellent this season. They’ve earned their current position.

Im confused at this stage, but I think it’s the Conference League, it used to be the Europa League and I think it was changed. Double check that..

Newcastle finishing in the top four for the first time in twenty years would be an amazing achievement.

Liverpool tonight, they're the only team to beat us in the league this season so far.

We haven't beat them at home since 2015. I hope we do but I'm getting 96/97 vibes.

I really hope Newcastle do get either top 4 or the Cup win. I was glad they made the decision to stick with Eddie Howe…

Be interesting to see how the title race plays out now, Arsenal managed to decimate their lead literally in a week. City has had some less desirable results also this season. Wouldn’t completely rule out Newcastle or United either. Still anybody’s game, which is mental to say when Arsenal had an 8 point lead 10 days ago.

It’s primed for a tight finish every way really title, top 4 and the relegation battle.

Arsenal are in that period all Title winning teams go through, a bad result or two a draw, but if they’re real winners they’ll pull through that period, regain the form they had a few weeks ago and get it across the line.

City are starting to fire on all cylinders again, they’re within distance and could peak at the right time of the season. Pep will use the PL charges and media to his advantage. Siege mentality.

As a Liverpool supporter, I have no expectations for the season at this stage myself. I think if we beat Newcastle this weekend it wouldn’t surprise me if we got a result against Madrid next week. It also wouldn’t surprise me if we’re embarrassed against Newcastle. The team looked a lot better in the Everton game than they had for a long time. Energy levels seemed to be up again. But that was Everton. They’re shite. So this weekend will tell a lot for Liverpool, and for Newcastle’s season also.

I don't know what the obsession with this festival is about. Lots of people outside of the UK have never heard of it. If they will give a terrible performance and receive some negative reviews, I'm sure it won't affect much at all.

Because the BBC have been broadcasting sets since the mid 80s on radio, and since the early 90s on TV, it’s somehow like everyone goes to Glastonbury each year. It’s on TV each night the entire weekend. It’s a mild Live Aid in the UK each year. A lot of the country tunes in to watch the sets from the festival.

I think festivals in Europe in general  have a different thing about them. They’re a rite of passage for each generation almost. I’ve been to festivals in Ireland, England, Germany, Holland & Belgium and they all have the same kinda vibe and they’ve all been running for years. People plan their summers around these festivals it’s part of the fabric of life.

  9. I’m 44 and if I were to speak about myself at 22, I’d probably describe myself as a kid. In years, 22 is only a few in. There’s another 50 to go (hopefully)

Strange he lumped them in with the Posions etc, the thing that made GnR instantly different from the rest back then was their sound and he definitely would have heard that. GnR were all over the radio by 88-89.

It’s not about what you believe or disbelieve, it’s about whether you are capable of granting others the right to dis/believe in whatever they want without feeling superior or thinking only your view must be the right one.

Be it god, aliens, or Elvis, the principle is always the same.

Your entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. So your as entitled to ignore the facts as you like. You can grant others their ignorance’s.

Nightrain, Dead Horse, It's So Easy, etc. were all released as singles too, but Sympathy was "the last GNR song", that's why it's on GH.

At the very least they should've replaced Ain't It Fun with one of their original singles...

I like The Dead Boys and had both those albums for a few years before TSI? came out. But Aint it Fun It’s one a few tracks on that album that beats the original. It’s a GnR song GnR didn’t write. It’s one of the tunes that captures the spirit of that band for me.

I used to be a Frank fan, but since 2016 I have liked his drumming less and less. In 2022 when he was playing Jungle, I just found it ear grating.

I know he can play, because he used to play like a machine 2006-2014 (few slips here and there), but whatever he's doing with gnr these past few years?? No love for it.

Lovely guy, but I wouldn't mind if he decided he wanted to pursue another band😄

Once the tempos went up the problems started to show.

I started that thread 4 years ago. And I usually made multiple Accounts after being banned under my original Accounts. I very seldomly made alternate Accounts when I hadn't been banned yet. The Appetite For Discussion, I am banned from there because I ended up being locked into one thread basically, so I created an Alternate Account, Guns N'Roses Fan so I  could post outside of the thread I ended up getting locked into. Hence why I said I am banned from Appetite For Discussion for circumventing a major rule. My Guns N'Roses Fan Account got banned soon. I remember one day, on the device I used for Guns N'Roses Fan, I  saw a message saying something like,"You do not have permission to post new threads or posts. I looked up and saw I had been logged out. I thought,"Huh. I don't remember logging out of my Guns N'Roses Fan Account. I must have accidentally logged out. I logged back in and saw,"You have been banned." I had a bad feeling in my chest and went on my other device, the one I used as my main Account, Karice and saw the same,"You do not have permission to post threads and posts and looked up and saw I had been logged out as Karice without actually logging out myself. Deja Vu all over again. I logged into my Karice Account and saw,"You have been banned." Deja Vu all over again.
