Old news..!!!! Since then Brian has met with Mr Stephen  Ambrose there is a Brian Johnson authorised statement on his in ear monitor ADEL hearing technology.

It works it really works & you cant argue with that i was really amazed to be able to hear music again like i have not herd for several years now i cant wait for it to be miniturized so i can use it in every day situations from normal communication going to noisey resterantants TO PERFORMING LIVE MUSIC ON STAGE AGAIN.

This great news is the result of a recent open message published by S.Ambrose to Brian Johnson who had to postpone fronting ACDC due to increasing hearing loss

    Asius technologies team

It's not just about his hearing though is it, let's be honest. The guy is just getting on a bit and can't hack it anymore, this hearing thing, while undoubtedly true, is being used as the main reason just to save face for Brian and to give Angus the greenlight to go on without seeming completely cold.

Well here's some more of Myles owning Axl... (Yes I'm kinda trolling...) 3:37 for some dying cat/raspless Back In Black.

guess Myles will just have to stick to destroying Axl on GNR songs... ?

That was bad. I didn't think he'd give up singing it in the right key half way through, I expected him to nail the key but just sound clean. I always have mixed feelings about Myles's vocals. Alter Bridge are one of my favourite bands but on their heavier stuff like Metalingus, and Cry of Achilles and the other thrash kind of stuff on Fortress, his voice just gets tiresome to listen to. It's like he just outright refuses to even slightly compress anything.

Ha ha, we must be the only community in the world where rasp is prerequisite to being a good singer!

can just hear Simon Cowell now, 'Terrible performance of Celine Dion's "my heart will go on," COMPLETELY lacking in rasp..." ?

It's true though, Back in Black without rasp would be pathetic.

  4. Brian isn't coming back. It's not just about the hearing. Brian can't do it/doesn't want to do it anymore and Angus does. I'm not saying the hearing thing isn't true but it's only one of many reasons, it also saves Brian from feeling he's disappointing the fans by just not wanting to do it anymore.

    sounds excelent ... voice..

but he Axl  rushes back in black a bit... he sings it to fast ... the beat is sloppy and laid back .. and he.. is a bit off... needs to be more lazy ..

it was much better ... perfect in fact ... in leipzig (hate that spelling) ..  much more relaxed ... quess the boys were a bit... wound up ...

been much talk about this gig ... and they are after all ... only humans ...

Angus sounded a bit thight also at some parts ..but as he allways do .. he just pushes more and its like they gotta beat somebody or be beaten to death..

... so .. imo ...the whole thing at  times sounded a bit ... not-relaxed .. ....still awsome... but,,,well ... oppinions..

BUT!! ..and  and ive seen this many times at ac/dc concerts ... they make it great ... its working victory tonight in my oppinion .. not as easy flowing as leipzig ...

Axl sang good ... absolutely ... i just think Manchester will be better ... this was good though easy 8/10 .. but its a typical ac/dc show in a way ..

because bands allways have that some days ..(i know) ... when its not just right.. like a shirt that dont sit just right ..looks good but..

energy i think was there ..  and as a whole ... absolutely awesome ... because in the end its live music we are talkin about ... not a record.. and i am absolutely sure that there and then it sounded and felt amazing... but im also pretty sure if youd ask Angus for instance ... and you  got an off-the-record-answer so to speak ... he would say that it was though ..

    a hard fought voctory ...

nevertheless.... a brilliant one... and to do that .... is what they are about... they dig deep ....and they almost never dissapoint...

    bravo boys

    All... good... points...

  6. Hahahahaha! "Dave Grohl would sound great." The dude can't even sing The Pretender in its original key, never mind Hells Bells or Back in Black. What a ridiculous idea. Taylor Hawkins would be a better fit than Grohl.

No disrespect, I love Dave I think he's a classy guy but I'm just being honest. He doesn't have anywhere near the vocal chops for AC/DC. Hell, he probably knows that and would most likely turn it down if he were asked. Which he wouldn't be.

Where did you get that from? From Youtube or is there an audio only recording as well?

The entire Prague show is on YouTube filmed by a guy in the front row with an awesome camera and Axl sounds brilliant throughout the entire show. I watched it the other day and it completely changed my opinion of that show.

I said Agnus cause he is the main guy, without him I don't think so they will continue AC/DC, they can bring back Rudd if something happens to Slade. So I meant in that way.

Why do you persist in typing his name as "Agnus?" I noticed it earlier and assumed it was a typo but you've done it more than once now, even in response to a post that spells it correctly. Do you want him to be called Agnus or something? :/ I don't mean to be rude but this HAS to be addressed haha.

  9. On a sidenote, it's pretty unique that for the last 3rd of the show that Angus is using his red SG. I don't remember him using that on the other shows, he only ever uses his black one live now and has done for years, he retired his red one from the road ages ago and only uses it in the studio. He must take it on the road as a back up but this is the first time I've seen him use it (although admittedly I haven't followed the Rock or Bust tour closely until the Axl announcement. It's cool though, his red one is way more iconic.

I just realised, he used it throughout most, if not all of the show.

    Lol, not biased at all.

AC/DC type songs are pretty much tailor made for Axl's voice. You Could Be Mine and Paradise City are basically AC/DC songs.

So not showing a lot of versatility there. Let's hear an all Queen show and then we can talk about his vocal versatility.  And his off nights are clearly not better than his peers best nights. Comments like that just make you look like a fanboy and completely reduce any strength from all your other comments.

But yes, your hyperbole aside, Axl is one of the best rock singers of all time. We knew this before these last AC/DC shows.

Axl is one of the best. But the over-the-top statements are a bit cringeworthy.

It's a Guns N' Roses fan forum. I'm allowed to be over the top and cringey. You're not cool for pointing it out. Knob.

  11. He still sounds awesome, but I think the reason he's struggling a bit, and i said this on the previous show, is that he's not warming up before the shows anymore. He's getting complacent now he's already proven he can do it to the fans and the media. He also sounds good enough live (in the stadium to the live crowd) that he can get away without warming up. That combined with having to get on stage every show earlier than usual, he probably just can't be assed preparing haha. Also, the 3-4 day gap between shows of him not singing won't help. Whereas before he was rehearsing everyday.

AC/DC's stage design is really amazing, though. You get the hellish rock concert vibes simply by looking at it, and since their shows are in the early evening, it makes it even cooler with the sunset in the back. :headbang:

Black Ice tour stage design and production was better imo.
