...and we all agreed this is bad.

    /thread

Someone suggested starting a new thread for this topic in the US politics thread.  I can't remember who it was but hopefully we can all have a real discussion about how bad it is in China for Muslims.  It goes way beyond Islamaphobia or travel bans.

Who’s taking bets on whether there’s a 2020 release? What are the perspective odds?

Im guessing as the end of the year approaches we will get some news from the GNR camp about the album being in the final stages of completion or possibly the dreaded “finishing touches” are being done. Hoping to be out in 2021.

The locker leaks was the end.  Thank you Rick for take care of us!

  3. I heard an assembly woman this past week in California say the state has had zero deaths under the age of 18 and my home state of New Jersey has had one death under 18 and that kid had a pre existing condition.  Those are two of the worst states in the country as far as cases and deaths.  I'm fine with all three of my kids going to school full time so they can get a real education.  I've watched what goes on on zoom with distance learning and it's a joke.  My wife works in the school and the teachers are all hoping to get back to in person teaching.  They know what's best for the kids.

You can get the shingles vaccine after age 50. My mom has had one already. I think she's due again. It's better than getting shingles. I'm too young to get the shot, but I had chicken pox, so sometimes I worry about getting shingles. I hope I can get it at 50.

My parents also get their flu and pneumonia shots every year too. My child has all her vaccines. It does help. Getting some of the childhood illness my parents had, can kill you now, so it's better to get the vaccines. I'm glad they have all the vaccines they have out now.

What do you mean she's due again?  Is it a multi shot vaccine?  My doctor told me it's a one time shot and I should get it when I'm older.  I had shingles about 7 years ago and it was the worst pain I've ever had in my life.  That's one vaccine I'm getting for sure.

And what about long term effects? How can you know about those when you rush to have a vaccination approved within a couple of months? Usually I also wouldn't give a vaccination a second thought and trust that they work and are safe, but those are established and experienced vaccinations, not one that just has been invented. So I'm not quite positive I would get one right away.

I totally agree.  A good example is the shingles vaccine.  It a one and done vaccine and it eventually wears off.  That's why they won't give it to someone unless they're older (I thought my Dr. told me 60 but don't quote me).  If you get it too young the vaccine will be innefective once you're older.

I'm a bit off exercise-wise.  I'll do it proper for 6 to 8 months then won't do fuck all for ages.  Like 4 months, then pick it back up again.  Pretty much all basic calisthenic shit too, sit ups, press ups, got a chin up bar too but I'd be lying to you if I told you I can bang those out the same way I can bang out loads of press ups and sit ups.  I got a punchbag though that I use regularly because thats just fun, I love that shit.  Diet is fuckin' terrible, always has been.  But then in some ways not, I mean there's plenty of fuckin' protein in it, I eat a lot of steak, a lot of beef burgers, not exactly healthy but its not the worst either, though it has been the last few months, sometimes I just stop giving a fuck and eat whatever I fuckin' feel like...actually, most of the time I do that   The biggest problem though is booze, its not even a problem, I enjoy it, it just hinders exercise, fuckin' hangovers and that, you don't wannabe exercising like that.  Stopped smoking week back in...hmm, I think it was like...I can't remember, a couple of Christmasses back.  But exercise weren't a problem with weed.

I don't care about health and shit, I don't care about having a six pack or any of that shit, I just wanna feel like...reasonably strong, you know what I mean, like I've got a bit of a dig on me, it just makes me feel better.  Almost like a little man syndrome thing.  I'm not even talking about being muscley, I've never been that, I just like knowing I can stand up for myself if the need ever arises.

Punchbag is a brilliant work out though, learn a bit of footwork, your basic shots like jab, right, your one twos and hooks and just practise combos on that shit, put your back into it, do that shit for 20 mins full pelt and I guarantee you'll be sweating like a fuckin' bitch.

Try p90x 3 if you're up for it.  I've done a handful of different programs but imo that's the best one I've done and I stuck with it.  Just make it a routine part of your day.  It's fast paced and just half an hour each day.  You just need some dumbbells and a pull up bar as well as a yoga mat.

I've had two tests so far and neither were particularly pleasant but both were negative. I did have a flu like illness back in December (it's not AIDS @Len Cnut:lol: ) and I've been feeling pretty much off colour since then so I spoke to the doc again today and he's arranged an antibody test so I'll see whether I've had it at some point.

My wife was sick Xmas day worse than I've ever seen with a few of the symptoms.  Lingered for about a week before she felt better.  A friend of mine got sick in February.  His entire family in the house had corona.  My wife and friend both took antibody tests and were both negative.  We were all disappointed because if she came back positive we would have felt like we should all have antibodies.  Good luck 🍀

Have you guys heard of clinical trials? It is a process where an experimental drug is tested on thousands of humans to verify that it is safe and efficient. The people in the clinical trial are guinea pigs, not those who get it after it has been approved for the market. Don't get me wrong, a marketed drug is still monitored because the ultimate test of a drug's efficacy and safety can only be assessed when it has been used on hundreds of thousands of patients, but when it is approved it is most likely entirely safe for most people and hence referring to taking a newly approved drug as being a "guinea pig" is very misleading and suggests ignorance to he drug development process.

Normally I trust vaccines but in this case I feel like there's a rush to be the first to get it out.  I'm sceptical about whether shortcuts are being taken by everyone in the race.

No Len. I am provaccinations. I take this pandemic very seriously. It is just that my population needs to be guinea pigged. and will be up first.  I opt out on this one.  . I NEED to get the Shingles Shot. Shingles is no joke. I never get a flu shot. I work in the school system. I just rely on WomensMultivitamins, Airborne Vitamins, rest right, eat right. I exercise.  I figure I really to build my immunity sysyem still...after all these years...I can catch the regular  cold and I have had the flu 1-2 times in 14 years. Mild case.

I might get the covid vaccine but not right away.  Maybe it'll go away on it's own if enough guinnee pigs rush out and take it.  I just wouldn't trust a vaccine that comes out that fast no matter what country gets it out first.  I feel like they're all rushing to be the one that gets it out first.  I'm with you on the shingles vaccine.  My grandfather had it head to toe when he had cancer.  He had it until he died and said it was unbearable.  A couple years later I got it at 34 years old.  Got it from being super stressed out and caught it early.  Just had a small rash but the pain was insane.  It's like you're being stabbed by a thousand needles all over your body.  I had chicken pox pretty bad as a kid but the Dr. said more and more young adults are coming down with it.  He said it's from stress.

I'm now running three times a week. Currently at 7.5k, working towards 10k. Also doing daily toning workouts, with an emphasis on my abs.
I'm not interested in losing weight, as I've always been medium sized, I know I eat alright. I just want to get fitter, in the hope it will increase my chances of living longer.

Keep at it.  Diet and exercise when you're young and it will make life easier when you get older.  I do P90X and my wife does pilates every day.  We both eat clean and only drink on occasion.  It sounds like you found the routine that works for you 👍

No, I understand what you're saying. I won't answer your question however because I don't want to get into a serious discussion about our civil war on the social media thread for GNR lol & also based off what I see posted here on average most of the users of this forum are very liberal and I don't want to be ostracized & attacked for my opinions on such a touchy subject.

No doubt you'll get hit from all angles here if you're not a liberal.  I'm not sure what your stance is on political issues but I suggest heading over to the U.S Politics thread and speak your mind.

Uh? Arizona, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma and Georgia among others have Replublican Governors.  But politcs aside people should know better. You have to wear a mask. You have to try to keep social distance as much as you can. Nevermind what any given politician says. People must listen to what doctors  say

I'm in a full face respirator between 8 and 12 hours a day for work.  I laugh when I hear people complain about having to wear a cloth face covering.  I feel like it shouldn't be mandatory to wear a mask to go outside and if people want to risk infecting each other let them.  I wouldn't go anywhere there is a crowd but if these idiots want to gather let em gather.  People should have a choice.

When the democrats are in power they get criticised. Right now it's a republican led government and it's their turn for the lashes... and regardless of your politics if you look at what's being said and done you have to agree the handling of this pandemic is terrible. Trump couldn't have handled it any worse! Held off closing down the country for weeks past the time he should have, reopened (against advice) far too early, refuses to promote mask wearing, puts out false information that his scientist advisors advise against "It's no worse than the flu".

I don't like either party, both are morally corrupt, vote independent! and don't get your news from Facebook, Fox (or any news tv show) or John Oliver! go to unbiased sources!

Governors shut down or reopen their states.  It's a state level decision.  The states with the most cases have been those run by Democratic leaders so maybe Axl could throw a few jabs their way once in a while?
