  1. Usual overpriced shite. Amazed anyone buys it, but it always gives me a laugh when the emails drop into my inbox. I'd absolutely piss myself laughing if I saw someone wandering around in those revolting tracksuit bottoms.
  2. He's gone?! Wow. If that's true this is bigger than we thought...... Where is this info coming from?
  3. I think that @Blackstar mentioned she did actually make the first lawsuit, but it was filed wrongly so had to do it again, and in the meantime GNR did theirs?
  4. ..........or you could post absolute unrelated nonsense like this to confirm to people that you are, indeed, a judgemental sexist.
  5. Much as we're all more enlightened by knowing what you'd do if you were sexually harassed, perhaps it might be best to leave the reaction and action times up to those who have been sexually harassed? Otherwise, you know, you risk looking like a judgmental sexist?
  6. Yeah, you're probably right. It will likely end up one of those situations where we'll never really know the truth - some sort of financial settlement will be made and the whole thing brushed under the carpet.
  7. Oh, it absolutely can't.....but our point is these headlines and this attention mean the whole band is tarnished with the same brush. I don't know quite what they should do at this stage. Silence is probably the best and most realistic option (maybe the only option too), but I would imagine there is a whole lot of shit going on as we type.
  8. I'm the same as you, but yep, loads of people don't bother and social media takes hold, which removes all the details in favour of sensationalist screeching and hysteria. However people are wanting to cut this, it's really not good. I understand why Duff and Slash aren't going to/can't comment, but they must know it's going to come up very quickly as soon as they do an interview....especially with Duff.
  9. Some of those headlines aren't looking great either..... "Guns 'N' Roses sued for copyright infringement and sexual harassment" "Guns N' Roses Sued for Copyright Infringement; Band Brands Accusations False" A causal scan reader is going to see this and draw a lot of conclusions about the behaviour of the band in general.
  10. Surely not? Not now anyway- maybe in 2016/2017 for pre-sale access? I joined then for pre-sale. Got sent a t-shirt after nearly a year, never dreamed of ever renewing my membership.
  11. The major music sites are- I would imagine though that it's a bit too niche for major news outlets as it isn't about band members.
  12. Yeah very true.....and I'm guessing you weren't running a major international touring operation either?! I know I absolutely couldn't work with any members of my family! Not that they'd be remotely interested in working with me either!
  13. Thanks! It's just dawned on me that I do actually have these from back then! Cornshucker leaked years ago didn't it? I'm sure I have that too.
  14. Absolutely. We're not talking about a pub band here, we're talking about a major business operation. It's quite amazing that this sort of thing hasn't been tested in a legal structure previously. You'd hope that this incident will be a significant wake-up call for the band and the way they operate, as goodness knows how many other things could flood through in the wake of this. When you operate at the level they have been doing since 2016 if you're not absolutely protected at all levels you're a sitting duck. What I've always found remarkable is that we know so much about it all. I have literally zero idea who manages other bands and musicians I like- and why should I? It's as irrelevant to me as a consumer as who is managing my local McDonalds.
  15. What are the differences between these and the ones on the AFD Super Deluxe? Is there anything really discernible?
  16. As a lawyer yourself I thought you might be aware that an employment relationship is absolutely NOT a prerequisite of bringing a successful harassment claim. https://www.eeoc.gov/harassment Good luck in the court room.
  17. That "family doesn't need contracts" thing seems incredibly likely. Family doesn't indeed need contracts. Million dollar touring enterprises do. If GNR aren't aware of this, then Kat is in for a very big day.
  18. It really does have all the ingredients for problems when you think about it: Totally secretive operation Lots of money coming in People in roles and positions not based on their ability to do the jobs Ties at all levels that go beyond the professional and deeply into the personal It is all massively open to lawsuits, claims, bad behaviour, everything. Even if absolutely nothing has occured, the very way they operate has left themselves wide open to this.
  19. It's the same as the UK pretty much. Unless they can explicitly prove she signed a contract that states the copyright on her work is GNRs, then it's hers. From the way their legal response is sounding, they seem confident they can do that.
  20. It would depend entirely on the contract. If you're on a salary and have signed a contract stating the work you do is owned by the employer when you're under that contract, then it would be GNR that owned it. If you're a freelancer who is around, under no contract, taking pictures for whatever reason then you own the copyright. The band giving 'permission' for those photos to be taken has no bearing on the copyright. On paper this would be a pretty simple one to sort out really- if there is paperwork saying she was employed by the band, and that contract stated any work she undertook was theirs then it is. If there is no contract stating that then it's hers. This honestly sounds to me like the haphazard, bizarre and often unprofessional way that the GNR business operates has come back on them. It's absolutely crazy that a band would take a photographer on tour and not have things like the copyright issues absolutely nailed down.....but I bet that's what happened.
  21. It is, but all that's going to happen are arguments, fights and some sexist or judgemental comments. Maybe the thread just isn't for me. I can always choose not to read it.
