That’s the internet nowadays, yanno? Straight up misery. I too have been a fan since 1990 and I loooove TG and Monsters so there’s that. At first I was shocked at all of the negative reactions, then I quickly remembered that this fanbase as a whole will never be happy. I also looooove reading how the Robin/Bucket versions are better when we have literally never heard them. It’s hilarious. Please don’t throw that BS cell phone leak at me either. We can barely make out all of the lyrics in these new leaks and now suddenly we can now hear the guitar parts perfectly in that god awful cell phone leak.

Isn’t it confined Monsters is not on the vinyl tho.

Being 22 in 2008, CD generally turned me off initially. Scraped was my first favorite track! I had little to no interest in Axl continuously singing over piano about how his exes made him incredibly sad waaaaaaaaaah. I liked the title track but I did not have the patience for the intro. Same for Rhiad. I hated those offensive WHOMPS in Shackler’s. Fast forward 3 years and I had a new coworker who loved GNR and he insisted I re-listen start to finish. Then it clicked. Minus the CD intro, Rhiad intro and Catcher being so busy, I put CD on my top 10 fav albums. I really enjoy it. even the WOMP WOMP WAA in Shacklers. Thankfully Catcher demo leaked in 19 and I can finally enjoy the good song that it is. My ideal version of CD would be as it was before BBF joined, so 2004. No offense, great player but CD didn’t need new solos, additional solos or addition fills.

If Monsters does in fact get released as a hidden track it could be because Axl knows we had it confused with The General and the co-release is a nod to that.

Hey does anyone have receipts for users that posted alleged lyrics of the general and soul monster? I’m looking for screenshots on my phone

I always go back to that same question when listening to Monsters. But it’s because The General and Monsters were registered together and Nando’s comment that The General is a monster. I honestly won’t be surprised either way. Monsters could even end up a single and Atlas the b-side to it for vice versa. We won’t know anything for sure until the 7”ers are delivered.

I truly understand everyone’s perspective. I don’t get hung up on it tho. I enjoy the tunes as they are and the more time goes by I appreciate them all more.

My biggest takeaway from these reunion releases is that Brain is now my fav past or present GNR drummer. His drumming on TG is phenomenal.
