  1. Not feeling the excitement for this tour at all, even though I have tickets for the Fenway Park show.

It doesn't help when you think you're getting your Nightrain merchandise in May, but lo and behold, they can't manage to to ship it out to everyone at the same time. This band just lets me down in so many ways.

  2. I bought the Use Your Illusion limited edition vinyl set with the colored vinyl and turntable mats. I haven't opened it, and probably won't. I like the idea of passing it on to one of my kids and letting them decide what to do with it after I'm gone.

$124.98 on the official merch site wasn't a bad price, I've seen it on Amazon going for $195.

I hope this next tour is abysmal and nobody goes.  This is just stupid anymore.  Set list will be the same.  I’m ready to go back and just bug Duff to buy his rights and release beautiful disease proper.

It does not appear to be selling well. I bought three tickets for the Fenway Park show as part of the Nightrain early access, and today I found out my oldest son is able to go as well, so I just bought another ticket. It's right behind the seats I'd bought when the tickets went on sale in February. Hopefully, we'll just get moved down to the field if it's a low turnout.

In 2016, it was all fresh because of the mini-reunion, but in 2023, playing the same setlist just isn't going to fly.

Im guessing sales are slow all over, I’ve checked a few dates and those were 30% sold or so.

It looks like Fenway Park still has a lot of tickets available. I'm sure the tickets will sell as the show draws closer; if not, people like me who paid for "cheap" seats could be moved down to the field. That's what happened in 2016 at the second Foxboro MA show. It didn't sell out, so we got moved down to the field, which was cool.

"Guns N' Roses: London 1991 includes never-released, newly-mixed songs from the Guns N' Roses iconic show at Wembley Stadium on 8/31/91.

    Tracklist

    Bad Obsession

    Live And Let Die

Voodoo Child (Slight Return) / Civil War / Voodoo Child (Slight Return)

    You Could Be Mine

Only Women Bleed / Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door

    Estranged"

Meh. I would have preferred something from the Not In This Lifetime shows of 2016.

Guess I'll pin my hopes on this membership being worthwhile with the "surprise" gift

    And yet hugely influential.

They had some half decent tunes, but it's hard to take them seriously as a band, rather than a brand.

Guns N' Roses are without question a brand.

Once you go all-in on merchandising, you're not a band as much as you are a business.

Kiss is one of the biggest jokes in rock history.

Their bad albums greatly outnumber their good albums, but they had a solid run in the mid 70's with a succession of really good records:

    Alive ! (75)

    Destroyer (76)

    Rock And Roll Over (76)

    Love Gun (77)

    Alive II (77)

After Ace and Peter left for good in the early 2000's, they should have dropped the makeup. I think it's sad that you have two pretty good musicians that pretend to be Spaceman and Catman because Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons believe continuing to wear the makeup makes them the most money.

Stone Sour (who she had never heard of until we met 10 years ago 😂).

Our top groups are all the same just interchangeable as to where we have them.

    GNR, SS, FF, and Halestorm.

Wow, you and your wife have a broad palette of favorite bands. Personally, I'm so stuck in the 70's and 80's, I could never embrace the sound of alt/grunge, or anything being played on rock radio now.

  9. Each of the three tickets I bought today were $99.50 before fees. In 2020, I paid $175 each for tickets that were  in an area not too far from the locations of the seats I secured today.

The well established artists like GN'R, Metallica, Taylor Swift, etc, put up video screens large enough so you can buy a "cheap" seat and still get a good experience. Even if you're not that close to the stage, you're still in the arena/ballpark/stadium with a screen that makes you feel like you got your money's worth.

Ooooh, struck a nerve have I? You lads waste your money on what you like. The fact that it bothers you so much that I think you're all crazy, suggests to me that deep down, you know you're being taken for a mug. But alas, it's your money. Hope you have fun.

    You're a towel.

Kidding aside, I haven't seen the band since 2016. Had tickets for 2020, but opted for a refund instead of hanging onto the seats, not knowing how long the pandemic would go on for. I do believe, with the TV ad during the Daytona 500 and sponsorship of the number 43 car, there is more than just a tour in the works this year. It also seems like they're really pushing the Nightrain membership package more than ever before. I finally caved and subscribed.

When a band you love plays a show in your area, you never know if this will be your last time with the opportunity to see them. Things could happen within the band, or things could happen to you in your own life, that prevent you from being able to see them again. As much as some think this band is just touring for the money, it's not like they're repeating the same cities and venues year after year. If the band means that much to you, you do what you can to try to catch their show.
