Waiting on the call from my attorney that my divorce is final....judge is taking forever to sign the final papers. 🙄

I have a vague recollection that your ex was a grade A nasty guy, wasn't he?! Hope the divorce gives you the fresh start you need. How are you feeling about it?

  2. My dad's getting increasingly opinionated. It's like having Jeremy Clarkson around for tea. I mentioned that I was disillusioned with Labour these days. So he jumped at the chance to lend me this.

As an Elvis fan, though a lot of it is hilairious and I'm as guilty as anyone in engaging in that shit, it kinda pains me that he's basically ended up this joke/caricature that doesn't really get the respect he deserves for kinda being, unwittingly, the creator of postwar youth culture.  That documentary that came out recently tried to go some ways to contextualising him and claiming back that place for him which I thought was a good thing but he's kind of a cultural joke now.  Shame.  Elvis was a bad motherfucker.

    What's the documentary please?

A few of my favourite American musicians have always looked to Elvis as a hero. Meanwhile, I've met others who discount him as a poser, closer to a member of One Direction than the real deal.

The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. I'd like to find out more for myself.

Did you create this? Are you pregnant again??

No, it's from a record store/café up my way.

Definitely not pregnant again. I don't need that excuse to eat experimentally. They named the toastie the sane name as me, what was I going to do?!

It looks tasty, but I cant wrap my head around the cheese and peanut butter combo?

I'm no good at describing flavours. It's a thin layer of each filling. Three different flavours of salt. The cheese does overpower the bacon and pb. It's all good. 😊

For anyone who is interested, I'm an excellent dancer.  Been at it since I was 13/14 years old.... in the Italian Disco tech's of the late 80's, early 90's.  ;)

Alright, Travolta hips, show us what you got.

Submissive?!  What like...leather masks, red-ball gag and a bollock weight?  Can we not just be gentle?

Darling, let's keep this in the PMs.

I mean submissive to the degree that it will make men with a conservative worldview feel uncomfortable. For example, woman on top.

I adore women.  I respect women.  I love my mother more than anyone else on this planet...on par with my father and my son.

That said, nature is nature and there are things that favor women naturally...as there are things that favor men naturally.

What things, in your opinion, should be left to men and what things, in your opinion, should be left to women?

Men should be submissive in the bedroom while also being king of cleaning black mould from the bathroom grouting. 🔥

    Everything else is negotiable.

  9. One way this demonising of celebrities has affected people on the ground is The Life of David Gale. While it is fictional, it is a protest film aganst capital punishment in the USA. The problem is, the lead character is played by Kevin Spacey.

From a European perspective, the death penalty is a no-brainer. But in the States the majority of people who campaign against it are mostly poor, disproportionately black and are viewed by the authorities as radicals. To them, this film can act as a weapon. It gets a wider audience having conversations about the judicial system and its prejudices. But since Kevin Spacey became a persona non grata, that good work was taken away from the movement which it acknowledged.

  10. Since there are fresh accusations of Michael Jackson's predatory behaviour, now is as good a time as any to have a proper discussion on if art can be separated from the artist.

Bearing in mind Erin Everley's claims against Axl of domestic abuse, and we contribute to a forum in his support.

It seems the question is to weigh up the quality of the art against the criminality of the artist and come to a conclusion.

As a matter of principle, as a professional creative, I don't like the concept of someone's work being forgotten. It should stand on its own merit. However I did stop listening to Lostprophets and can't say I miss them.

Tommy Sixx and Nikki Drumsticks, with his old first copy pressing of their best selling 'Hot Love Lipstick Fuck'

Len, this really cracked me up. I know I need to get out more, but I'm red as a beetroot with laughter.

Motley Crue - and no, I'm not doing reproducing the umlaute

The official term is the 'metal umlaut' otherwise known as the 'röck döts'.

Other musical acts to have embraced punctuation are Hear'Say, Wham!, AC/DC and T'Pau. One could conclude that intellectuals, surprisingly don't join pop groups.

  13. This might be a symptom of aging. But it's really sad that as I've gotten older, looks matter more to me than they did 10 years ago. Both my own appearance and everyone else's.

I used to think that Zac Efron was a slightly more masculine Justin Bieber. Perhaps he is. Anyway, he always looks good, dresses well and looks after himself. He's not my type, but if by some unlikely circumstance we met, I wouldn't say no. I'm a sucker for blue eyes.
