Bring back the acoustic set (which they kinda did last year) but maybe do it as the first encore, or at least don't do it right after November Rain. Play So Fine or Raw Power with Axl every once in a while. Rotate some UYI/TSI deep cuts with stuff like Ain't Goin' Down or Black Leather.

I thought this was a serious post until I saw the Locomotive Melissa vocals comment, and realised you must be joking

I read somewhere that SCOM was to be the 3rd song to be played but for time constraints it wasnt. Not sure if it was real but read it somewhere.

I heard that too. Could you imagine having a pro shot of SCOM from that show too? As it is, KOHD and PC are two of the bands finest performances, it would’ve been great to have SCOM too

  3. This new song sounds like a Steel Panther song, but without the irony or sense of humour.

    Just sounds like cheese.

It’s funny to see people on social media excitedly saying it sounds like something from Slave to the Grind, and that this is the best song they’ve done in 30 years. Because it doesn’t sound like either of those things. It sounds like shit

  4. I’m still gathering my thoughts about the film, and I think I’d need to see it again to take off my “new Batman film, so it must be awesome” glasses. But initial impressions, are that I thought it was pretty damn great.

It’s not a film without flaws, but it was still really great. For it’s runtime (close to 3 hours) it didn’t seem to drag much either. I was pretty much gripped to my seat most of the movie.

Pattinson was fantastic, as were the rest of the cast. Batman and Catwoman had great chemistry.

I’d also just like to add, that when we first hear the revving of the Batmobile engine before seeing it in it’s full glory, I was giggling with a big stupid grin on my face at how awesome it was!

So i got my 4 lp yesterday and sat down to play it tonight and side A is TAYLOR SWIFT folklore lmao wtf.  Side B is correct.  This is the purple indie store version.

Anyone else having an issue?  Who should I contact about this 😆

Taylor Swift’s Folklore is actually a better album than 4, you should be grateful :lol:

I urge every fan of Slash to listen to Call Off The Dogs from here and tell me that's not a good song. The chord progression and repeating riff in the chorus, is about as good a song as Slash will ever write, it's quintessentially him. The album version doesn't have the same energy

Instrumentally it sounds ok, but Myles ruins it with the vocal melodies he sings.

  7. A fast rocker, similar to other SMKC fast rockers, and Myles isn’t overly annoying on it, though melody wise it just sounds like you’ve heard all before. Slash sounds great, there’s some very nice riffing going on under the first verse that reminded me a little of Double Talkin Jive, and the solo is nice short without getting too shreddy.

Listening to all three singles together, seems to make more sense than listening as standalone songs.

I think Fill My World is the best we’ve heard so far, and I don’t think any of these songs are particularly great, but I’m still interested enough to hear the rest of the album.

That’s the album that Duff was scheduled to tour here in Australia in when his pancreas exploded or whatever and it got cancelled.

Actually, that wasn’t the reason the tour was canceled. Not that was given anyway. I was sad that the tour was canceled as I’d missed seeing GN’R in 1993, and this was kind of a chance to see some of that sleazy rock.

Anyway, I remember the excuse given for the tour cancellation was an ear infection or something like that.

What a nice interview. Ashba, being such a fan of the band, wrote demos deliberately sounding like Appetite...trying to recapture a sound many fans would like to hear Axl sing again. And then, being such a fan of the band, leaving it so that Slash could take his place where many fans wanted him. I don't understand all the hate he gets sometimes on forums. When I last saw Guns, I was front row, Ashba talked to us while performing/in-between songs, for ages. Nobody else in the band did that, to that extent. Axl smiled and nodded, but no words. Ashba really cared about Guns and about the fans.

Yeah, while I didn’t care for his look or kinda posturing, there’s no doubt, he was a good guy. Met him in 2013 on their Aussie tour, and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

I requested he play Ballad of Death that night instead of the other tune he did, and Ballad of Death was played. He saw me and my mate front row of the show, and waved to us, and handed out shots of jagermeister as well.

The only thing that’s surprising is that if both Axl and Sebastian really liked that song in particular that he wrote, why he hasn’t actually done anything with the song.

It’s by far the best solo album of any member. I still listen to it today. And if you’ve heard any other Duff solo album, they don’t compare. Believe in Me is miles ahead better than his other albums

It’s mostly a bloated drunken mess. Duff’s liner notes mention him coming up with lyrics on the spot in the studio.

Duff’s unreleased follow up Beautiful Disease is a much much better album.

88222-aaf548debaed165518dc6c9ec98d3144_1Anyone getting this? The cassette tape is a nice addition. Hoping we get another single very soon. Super excited for this!

The cassette tape is stupid and pointless. Who even has a cassette player these days?

I wanna hear those live recordings on the tape, they should’ve just put it on CD.

  12. I thought the ending was fitting to what was a fantastic season. It certainly helped clear the way it ended so terribly with Dexter before.

I doubt we’ll get a Harrison spin off, as his character seemed to have had closure, by ending his dad’s dark passenger and his own, and not having the bad influence of Dexter over him, and why he is how he is (being born in blood etc).

By killing his father, the cycle now stops.

We're talking about the same Slash that wrote all those Snakepit songs Axl wanted nothing to do with, yes?

Check yourself.  Slash's songwriting doesn't line up with what Axl's been doing.  :axl:

If I recall, Axl changed his mind and wanted some of those Snakepit songs back too. But by the time Axl realised this, Slash had already recorded the album.

Axl was too busy trying to turn GNR into NIN or Pearl Jam…

Oh, I don't consider those Slash songs at all, but GN'R songs. Maybe I missed your point?

Yeah, and more to come :) And a UYI box set. And an EP. And a tour.

But you know, nothing to talk about, as so many say

My point was that Slash has written songs in GN’R that are iconic rock songs, vs DJ submitting songs for GN’R when he has had no record of writing iconic rock songs.

But to say that Axl wouldn’t entertain new song ideas from Slash, who has a proven track record of great songs for GN’R, vs DJ who hadn’t written an iconic rock song in his whole career, than yes, I think some of you here are nuts… and I like SixxAM. But come on, seriously…?
