KATESEREVENGE
Over the past few years a good few have come and gone that have meant to be the best new old school style rock bands..silvertide, the answer, black stone cherry, roadstar, lynam, towers of london, backyard babies, vains of jenna etc....most of these have came to nothing, some are still doing kinda well..a lot of these are good bands, its a shame they dont get a brake. Big Boy Sixxx
to be honest none of those bands are particularly epic. its very throw awaybut black label society are great, considering they were a side project.
neatd99
Check out The Heart Attacks (mainly their cover of Traveling Band). Awesome new (post 2006) stuff. I know quite a few GNR fans who also like The Heart Attacks.
Moop
What's wrong with Towers of London? I love them. I was one of the few people moshing to them at the 2006 GNR Glasgow gig.Umm... bands that have just come out in the past few years are few and far between... off the top of my head, Interpol and Bloc Party are the only ones I really like that are pretty new. Shuffle
I haven't heard all the bands mentioned in the first post but The Answer are great, although not terribly original. Towers of London are annoying but have a couple of decent tunes and Black Stone Cherry have a good song or two. Backyard Babies ain't a new band, they've been around since the mid-90's (I think) and they're pretty good, although not my style... The Hellacopters are much better. Is0tope
Personally I don't even want "good old rock".. There's enough of that, it's time for something new? Yet I don't really like much any "new" form of music born since the early 90's, lol. Edited December 2, 2007 by pet0

Max™
Rattlesnake Remedy Awesome track!I heard these guys whist they were supporting Bad Obsession GNR tribute, with a couple of other supports - they blew everyone else away. Its not everyday a support band comes on and does just that.

tat2d1
Check out a band called Black Tide. The lead singer is 14 or 15. They're on tour with A7X right now. I saw them on Ozzfest and they rocked. I think the oldest kid in the band is 16 or 17. Their debut comes out via Interscope in March.www.blacktidemusic.comwww.myspace.com/blacktide
