Guest Yanni_16
Completely shits all over pretty much everyone you guys listed, including Eminem. You guys need to broaden your horizons beyond mainstream hip-hop, and look at some of the underground artists, who's lyrics go beyond gang violence and fucking women. I saw Aesop live last, and besides having such insightful lyrics and such dynamic flow, he's also a damn good freestylist. Anybody here who's a fan of hip-hop, listen to this guy, and I defy you to tell me he isn't good.
New Rose
It's a conspiracy dude. They didn't just fall over all the unreleased material long after he died...Actually, they didn't.They were sitting on it.

Negleyjj
I don't listen to a lot of hip-hop, but it's probably more than most people on here My favorites include Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Blackstar, Common, and Kanye West. And Eminem, Nas, 2Pac, Mos Def, and The Roots are really good too, but I don't like them as much as the first group (for various reasons). I know there are probably a few others that I'm forgetting.... Recently I've heard some songs on Pandora that I'll probably look into, but I don't want to make statements about how much I like a guy/group before I hear more than a song or two.Feel free to throw more rap at me - I'm always up for more stuff. Justagroupie
Just came across this thread and thought it was great- I'm recently into alot of Hip Hop and especially into Lupe Fiasco.I used to be pretty closed minded about this genre but nowadays I'm really loving it. Justagroupie
For sure! Those are some classic Hip Hop bands not to be meddled with- let's not forget Cypress Hill or Public Enemy.
