I fail to see how he's a loser? He made a pretty brilliant point.

This line-up is very good, great in fact, from what we've seen. I'd say they are by far the best "new line-up" of the band, and the shows have been kick ass, but you haven't heard any released material written by this line-up, that's your tell of a great band.

So far, they've been awesome, but it's not like they've done anything revolutionary. I won't stand here and say "They'll never be better than the original line-up", because I can't prove that, but you can't say that based purely on ten or so live shows.

No one's going to get any grief from me if they like this version the best, because they do fuckin rock!! However, for my money the original Appetite version wil always be the best version.

yeah its been very encouraging indeed axl looks a different person nowadays he must have done some real thinking about himself to become so happy.Personally i couldnt really give a stuff about the rest of the band i only bother with gnr because i love axl so much, i mean this in a nice way but the band would still get slaughtered in the usa still GUNS N ROSES was axl, slash, duff, izzy and steven and the americans will never accept this line up as guns n roses never, if axl and slash aint togeva its not the same end of, but i am impressed with the way this band has gelled so hey who knows

If this ends up being a stable lineup, and they write some shit together, who knows what's possible. In my opinion, Axl is very musically gifted, and if he feels he can trust those who are writing with him, the sky is attainable. That dude could sing ANYTHING and make it kick ass one hundred fold.

The players are there (and want to be 100%, it appears), the chemistry is present, all that's needed is the earned trust that seems as hard to come by as an albino panda in this human existence we're enveloped in.

If you count quality AC/DC maybe, but the setlist is always the same. Gn'R is the best, yeah.

If you count public U2, Muse and AC/DC are the biggest right now. I don't know if Bruce Springsteen is touring, but he sells a lot too.

Yes. That destroyed any of Axl's momentum of doing anything on his own. That and the other guy with the half shaved head and goth look who only took long strides on stage almost falling over in the process. And the consistent failed tours since '02. You can do that shit when you're early 90's GNR, but Axl on his own? Don't think so.

Everyone was left with the image of GNR from '91, '92, '93 and when Axl finally returns with 'GNR', it's with those two clowns? Great to see them now apparently doing good things, but time will tell and let's not forget people, since '01, this has been the AXL ROSE SHOW - nobody else matters.

Do you seriously think that this current band, the most technically talented of all GnR history, cant play Estranged?! They can play something as difficult as Better or Shacklers Revenge, but not Estranged which for any guitar player is 50 notches down in terms of difficulty. Okay, Slash is not that good of a guitarist. A good guitar writer sure, but as pure skill Bumble and Bucket are ages ahead Slash.

They can play something as difficult as Better or Shacklers Revenge, but not Estranged which for any guitar player is 50 notches down in terms of difficulty. At least Muse and AC/DC have the same setlist/always doing the same. But I can't see any of them or U2 beeing better than GN'R now. Springsteen maybe.. No, GN'R blows him away too. I just wish rest of the world except from us on here coulde see that. Then GN'R would be the biggest band in the world again. It should be obligatory going to at least one GN'R concert, for everyone :D

most deluded post ever in the history of mygnrforum really you know nothing about music what so ever SLASH is a jerk no doubt but he is widely regarded as the finest guitarist of his generation, lets ask the likes of acdc, u2 etc who the hell bumble and bucket are they wouldnt have a clue that sums it up, believe me if they could play estranged it will be played in south america in march and if that happens i will donate 50 quid to this forum via paypal, they struggle with november rain it sounds at times like a gnr cover band down the local pub AT TIMES, Lets just be realistic they doing really well at the moment but none of them compare to any original band member excl axl of course

Why is it that every time we discuss guitar playing and start looking into what the actual lineup can play, somebody comes with "Whateva, they ain't sellin out shows so the musicians are not as good"...

i respect anyone on this forum i really do but slash could play any tune any genre you could possibly imagine bumble and espec bucket are not fit to be in the same country as slash , but i do appreciate you giving support to the this guns n roses so im sure you mean well mate but really slash was the main reason guns n roses was so big in south america i have been to brazil and believe me its all about slash over there, and i am being honest there, i actually prefer axl and alaways will but slash is a once in a lifetime performer as is axl

Do you basic who's the best touring band right now by how many tickets they can sell? Then I guess Lady GAGA is the best band (because she need someone to play her instruments don't she? or is it only playback?). *Sigh* When did an 8 finger tap sweep ever make a song sound better. Wanking off the neck does not make you a better guitarist. When your in a band it doesnt matter how many 8 finger fret sweeps you make its about what your playing brings to the song as part of the band. Sometimes less is more my friend.

And yeah i'd say Slash could probably pull off the 8 finger death move if that was what he was interested in doing. But its plainly not.
