New York City Cops probably wasn't the most appropriate song for 9/11, but how was the band to know. LOLI think Scorsese might regret the "firemen are fuckin homos" in The Departed. Estranged Reality Posted March 7, 2011 Share Posted March 7, 2011 I'm not really supposed to talk about the album until it's closer to release, apparently, but I will say this: it's better than First Impressions, or at least more consistent. It's a grower. And "Life Is Simple in the Moonlight" sounds way better on the studio cut -- it's definitely one of the better tunes on the record but the SNL performance was a bit underwhelming, tbh. I think something was up with Jules' voice -- he seemed to be struggling. Maybe he's sick.Anyway, I'll post a link to my full review here once it's published.
