Millions
What with Axl being completely demotivated when it comes to new material, and the rest of the band desperate to write and record new material to prove they are not just touring musicians....... how about this? Put out an 4 track EP. Anyone who has listened to Ron or Tommy's solo stuff will know they are strong on vocals - more than capable of taking the lead, and arguably a lot better than Duff or Izzy who were given lead vocal duties in the past. This would be a stop-gap album until Axl can get off his ass, and by satisfying the artistic appetite of the rest of the band, could actually keep this version of GNR together that little bit longer. It could even be put out as a free online release as a thank you to the fans who have had to endure over a decade of nothingness. What do you think? GunnerRose
We are waiting for "The Muse" to hit.....not Axl getting off his ass. besides, making a new record is bad business. No money in new material

Apollo
Besides, making a new record is bad business. No money in new materialThen why do other bands consistently put out new albums?Do you think GnR should just tour off of old music and not create their own music? Currently they play no songs created by the current band and the majority of their shows are made up of 20 year old songs created by Axl and a completely different group of band members. DJ and BBF have both said they want to record and release a new GnR album. The last GnR album sold 3 million copies. New music helps shut up critics of Axl.Not trying to argue with you. I just don't get why some Axl fans say the band shouldn't release new music.
maynard
New GNR without Axl? And some fanboys would still consider it more "gnr" than Slash's records.
Roush
I would have loved to hear a record (sans Axl) with Buckethead, Robin, Brain, Tommy, and Fortus. This band? Not so much.
bacardimayne
I would absolutely love to see the band, minus Axl, release an album under the GNR name, just to watch the Spooshnutters lose their collective shit.

We're talking about the same band that does the Vegas Lounge Act. The same band that has not released a single new song in 4 years. With no evidence of progression in any direction but 'nostalgia act'. In 5 years -- 10 bucks says Axl's GN'R will be co-headlining festivals with Cinderella, and Whitesnake. wasted
All bands are nostalgia acts. Other bands put out new records just to tour behind. Axl just cares too much. He should just mail in some mediocre albums that are easy to play live. But thats what pop bands do. GnR are like Zepp.
