Pitiful that a grown seasoned man -Jon Bongiovi- would call anyone that has nothing to do with his life an aasshole.Bieber is 19. Both BonJovi and Bieber put out sappy meaningless music but if it makes people happy then fine.I wouldn't go to either concert with front row seats and back stage access. I think JBJ image is vile. I do. I don't believe he is ubercharitable either. The most charitable acts are undisclosed. I don't think it's cool to post that info about JBJ's daughter either. Overdose is a very near reality to loads of people.They pop pills, go to sleep, and never wake up.

It's way too easy to OD, have had a close call when I was younger that bounced me into a hospital being pumped full of charcoal, made me shit black for a week. And this was not smack, but just as deadly.

If this story opens up one single person's eyes about a child, or friend in trouble with drugs or depressed, it is worth posting and reading.

Sometimes the truth is harsh and unwelcome but it is still the truth.

If my main goal was to simply talk shit about Bonjovi because I dislike him/ his music/ his pompousity I could post the article where sambora is firing back at allegations that he has substance abuse probs again.

I saw Bon Jovi this year and yeah they played 3 hours, but I enjoyed GNR's 3 hour show better. I found Bon Jovi to be boring at times and other people around me were on their cell phones, texting and on their face book pages and twitter. I haven't seen that at a GNR show except for the fans recording the show with their phones.

I agree. Except for the chicks that are in love with him, Jovi shows really aren't visually appealing. You can attend them blindfolded and you won't miss anything.

As for concert length, are Bieber shows really only 80 minutes long like Jovi said? Damn, talk about cash grabs.

Well, I saw Bullet for my Valentine headline tour a few years ago. First there were 3 opening bands, then they came on around 11:00 and played like 45 minutes. No talking just playing, but still 45 minutes. I passed on them this year because again they had 3 opening bands that sucked especially Hailstorm. It was terrible so I didn't waste my time or money. At least with GNR you know you're going to get a good 2-3 hour show. Same with Rush. Yeah, Madonna is late but no one bitches and she charges lots more for a ticket. I think she needs to retire. I don't care how great a shape she is on the outside, her bones are still aging. Did you see how slow she was walking down the stairs on the BBA? Yeah, her ass might be tight, but 54 is still 54 and wait until she hits 60. lol

It bothers me to hear stories like yours, thank goodness you found the shore and presumably keep your eyes directed there.

I just realized this -now- but the Good Samaritan 911 Law which that was just signed would have saved my friend who oded in the presence of another. I understand the dealer friend scum was more worried about hiding his stash. Very painful loosing someone you count on to make life great for something so unnecessary.

If Bon Jovi is rock n' roll, it's like soap opera quality. Haven't heard good things about the "family man" so his hypocrisy is no surprise. Bieber is just unconscious, JBJ is just arrogant. I feel dirty even weighing in on their situations since their collective music is an assault on the senses.

Back on topic, I think bonblowme made some bad choices early on, he aligned himself with a message /image that has cursed him in numerous ways, tuning in to the metaphysical is involuntary in anyone who write/creates, tuning into your own pain is the only way to resolve any of it, and sometimes it is required to rip open old issues that don't have ckisure,becus it has to heal clean.

Also, alignment, be careful of whom it what you align yourself with, because it can affect your aura on the spiritual plane,and this one in turn.

I have been to many concerts and I'd guess 50% started late by 15 mins or more. Prince is a horrible abuser of a fans time. I saw a few of the Vegas shows that were to start at 1030 never came on before midnight and one time it was pushing 1am. I am a night owl. just tell me I can be there at midnight and not sitting on a concrete floor waiting for you to show up.

Wonder if artists who make the world wait on them are impatient if they are left waiting for a meeting, an agent, mgr etc?

Bon Jovi is right, Bieber is an asshole whether he is late or not. As for the delays...the only show I´ve been to that has started right on time is the spanish duet "Amaral", all the shows I have attended have started late except for the previously mentioned. And yes, waiting sucks.

Oh, and for the record, Bon Jovi is one of my favourite bands, been a fan since I was 8 or so.

Guns' music will always be better than Bon Jovi's (even though they're not that THAT bad. After Crush they went downhill), but I like how Bon Jovi keeps it professional when it comes to touring. Fans pay good money to see/hear artists, so it's really disrespectful to treat them like crap. They pay your bills.

Early this year there was a major blizzard in CT on the day Jovi was scheduled to open their tour there in a casino. The band had arrived a few days early to practice, but nearly all of the 10,000 ticketholders didn't show up because of 30+ inches of snow and closed roads. So what did the band do? Give a free full concert to whomever happened to be at the casino and reschedule another show for October.

Seriously, how many bands would have put on a free full show in that situation? They could have easily spent the night partying or simply moved onto the next night's city. Pretty damn cool to go through all that trouble and not receive any sort of compensation for it.

I could see GNR doing it. It's good publicity and they prob. got a bunch of perks. That was cool of them to do for the people who had spent money on hotels and flew there.

I'm sure Bon Jovi treated it as a warmup gig for the tour. It was a bigger crowd than a small handful of people.

Axl sat with Jon, so whatever was said wasn't a big deal, and it was more about Sebastian and Jon patching things up. Too bad no one got a photo of them at the table together, esp. Sebastian getting that photo op.
