Rustycage
Black Ice didn't have the contract demands of the label wanting immediate return of their investment. Wal-Mart may be shady but they aren't stupid.Wanna blame something? Blame the 14 million dollars it took to produce that record.

If CD was a Walmart exclusive at the time and a tiny .025% (250,000)of their weekly customers bought CD for the initial few weeks, which was quite possible given it was a GNR record, and especially if it was given the "Black Ice everywhere you go in the store promotion" it would have sold much better and would have gotten less critisism in the media for low sales. Wal-Mart isn't/wasn't dumb enough to agree to the types of terms Best Buy did.But Your response is simply repeating yourself over and over as if that and some ruby slippers will make it come true. dalsh327
Universal did right by Axl, Interscope didn't. So what if GNR spent 14 million! The money they made the label (and still making to this day) is staggering.

No one said Black ice wouldn't have outsold Gnr.The BB deal hurt gnr sales, the Walmart exclusive helped acdc sales just by the shear size of potential customers as compare to BB's TINY fraction of walmart daily shoppers.ACDC is bigger. Would have acdc sold as many albums with a BB exclusive as they did with a Walmart exclusive in the US.No chance. Yes ACdc has a bigger fanbase, and is bigger and more popular and more amazing, and plays stadiums and are huge and wonderful.I know. Use Your Delusion 1
they screwed this release up royallyRelease Better as the single, press interviews, a couple of preview tour dates across the globe, just say 20 dates in EU, Japan and North America before release, purposely restricting them to sell out, would create a lot of buzz, limit the performance of CD songs to keep interest high and boom, I'm sure it would've done better Edited December 31, 2013 by Use Your Delusion
