maynard
Ok guys, Trent just posted The Fragile instrumentals and other "song ideas" from that era on his Beats profile. I won't be able to listen to this until it's on torrent but if any of you have the chance, you should check it out.

Crazyman
I feel like Trent is just teasing us at this point in regards to the Fragile. I WANT THAT GOD DAMN RE-ISSUE/REMASTER! Edited June 30, 2015 by Crazyman

Black Sabbath
Honestly don't care so much about instrumentals.
Crazyman
Usually I'd agree...but this is Nine Inch Nails and this is The Fragile era. I'll take anything.
maynard
Fuck you I thought this got bumped for more dates This is better than touring imo. Love The Fragile and wanted the instrumentals for ages.
maynard
This new version of Somewhat Damaged is fucking heavy, nothing too different but holy shit... this sounds great. Thanks Trent for the birthday gift (I turn 28 today, at least 10 of them I spent listening to TF songs almost every day )
Crazyman
That outro sounds beautiful WITT is a tiny bit longer at the end (one of my favorite parts)The Mark Has Been Made sounds funkier in the middle. Me likey! Haven't listened to WT yet
maynard
WITT is my favorite song ever by any artist. I'll karaoke the shit out of that one. La Mer sounds great too, it's a very different mix.
chevelle
As someone who can't really listening to some of The Fragile with a straight face anymore because of some of the lyrics, I'm really excited about this alternate instrumental version. It better hit some torrents soon.
maynard
Dear lord, The Mark Has Been Made is awesome... I'm such a fanboy lol.
Crazyman
Whoops I meant at the end, not the middle. Also funky wasn't the right term lol. Also I like the raw sound of La Mer...including that weird glitchy sound that randomly shows up
Black Sabbath
I'll check it out eventually.I have a fan made version of The Fragile. "The Ultimate Edition". I forget the differences, but it's like flawless when listened to in full.Man I always forget I got to see Into the Void live. That was awesome. maynard
Even though these instrumentals were releases through a paid service it's still a nice gesture from Trent. He knows the fans love this kind of stuff. He's just a fucking great guy.

Their review of 'The Fragile' is a little baffling, since I consider it NIN's second best effort(they rated Hesitation Marks higher ). But they justify their rating pretty well in the review, so whatever. They suck TDS's dick though, and generally seem to like Trent.http://m.pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/5802-the-downward-spiral-deluxe-edition/ Edited July 2, 2015 by Dan H. Black Sabbath
With Teeth is only slightly The Slip, but both are decent efforts, sans for a free standout tracks.Pitchfork still sucks though.
Dan H.
Pitchfork is aight. At least they back their shit up with generally well written pieces.I think they have the same issues as any music publication, they're unfair to some genres, suck some artists dicks, etc.If I'm ever curious about a new release I check Pitchfork then I check The A.V. Club, and between the two publications I usually get a pretty good gauge of if I'll enjoy the album or not.Honestly they have With Teeth a 6.5/10, which is about where I'd rate in anyways. The Fragile review is just baffling though

Atrocious is a bit harsh. It's clearly not on the level of TDS/TF, but it's not The Slip-esk. Atrocious is their review of TF. They seemed to think that Trent was purposely doing all he could to shock people like TDS/Manson era, but he clearly moved onto a different part of his career. Sure it's long and some of the lyrics are meh, but overall I'd still consider it a masterpiece, abit a bloated one.If he would've released the left side only but replaced Pilgrimage and No, You Don't with The Way Out Is Through and Into The Void (or whatever the two strongest tracks on the right side are) then it would probably be viewed with TDS as his greatest.
