Old acoustic clip

Recommended Posts

I have seen this clip in MTV Rockstory like 20 years ago or something.

This is just terrific stuff. Priceless footage.

You can't help but wonder how much more of that was recorded by MTV on that particular night.

Did they tape that for like 5 minutes? 20 minutes? More?

How much more of that jkind of footage was taped but never aired?

What about "casual" recordings of the band playing acoustic stuff made "at home"?

Like private tapes made by friends, girlfriends, family members and the guys themselves?

We have seen the Hollywood Rose home made "promo video" that Axl, Izzy and Chris Weber did.

So you can tell that even before Guns n' Roses these guys were no stranger to having video cameras with/around them.

Marc Canter has tons of footage.

He said that he even has some footage of the band putting together Sweet Child o' Mine.

Wow.

How cool is that?

I can only wonder how much of that type of footage is hidden somewhere, forgotten in somebody's basement.

"Casual" footage of Guns n' Roses playing acoustic stuff.

That kind of stuff is GN'R Holy Grail. :headbang:

Axl in his prime. Nobody in rock could touch him at that point.

Exactly.

This is the best rock n roll singer ever, at his absolute prime.

I say more.

I say Axl 1987-1991 is still untouchable.

No one, ever, was that good.

I love Bon Scott and Joey Ramone and Layne Staley and Steven Tyler and Bruce Dickinson and many other singers.

None of them could touch Axl from 1987 to 1991.

Same if you think about the bands.

AC/DC, Ramones, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Alice in Chains...

All fantastic.

But GNR 1987-1991 is still better than all of them together.

That's why everything from that era is GNR Holy Grail.

I just can't have enough of it.
