Georgy Zhukov
Seems like Godzilla has regenerated the public's interests in giant monsters again. Okay maybe we can say Pacific Rim helped. I think it is overdue, Peter Jackson made a stunning visual effects film, but the film itself was flawed. I loved the original, it is amazing how many hours of work they put into it. Easily one of the greatest films of all time, and the film that started it all. Wouldn't have Godzilla without King Kong and now, thanks to the Godzilla film from last year, we are getting a new King Kong film.http://screenrant.com/skull-island-king-kong-reboot/
DieselDaisy
I thought King Kong was remade just a few years ago? It had Jack Black in it.

Iron MikeyJ
I liked Jackson's KongSeems modern enough to where we don't really need a new oneAgreed. Make something else for Chrst's sake. King Kong fought dino's, climbed the Empire State building, and fought planes. What else do you need from a King Kong movie????

Yeah it was quite long, and there were a couple scenes on skull island where the green screen was unbelievably bad. Like during the dinosaur stampede. If it got in the hands of a good director and they rehashed the whole origin plot I think I'd go see it Edited January 3, 2015 by Dan H. Val22
The best King Kong was the one made in the 1930's.The one made with Jessica Lang wasn't too bad, but anything after that sucked. If they do re-make it I hope they get a great cast of actors and amazing special effects, but also make you care about KK. I always felt so sorry for him. Man doing something shitty yet again.
Georgy Zhukov
Son of Kong was actually a decent sequel. The problem is that the studio rushed production so it can be released the same year as King Kong, so they cut corners on the stop motion but made up for it with the characters. Back then there was no home video so the studio didn't think people would remember anything from Kong.

Georgy Zhukov
King Kong 05 was great you fucking nancy boy cobbler gobblers.i really liked it.It was good, just needed to be edited. Peter Jackson's team did a great job recreating a lost sequence from the original King Kong. Was way too violent for 1933 though.

bacardimayne
This is almost as unnecessary as the Spider-Man reboot with Andrew Garfield.
