Am I the only one who thinks the new songs are anoying??

I think axl's voice sounds on every song the same.

I really liked the old band, saw the new band live as well,

but all the new songs sound the same for me.

It doesn't have the vibe gnr used to have,

it just doesn't blow me away.

the solo's sound like axl instructed buckethead en finck to sound like slash.

I disagree totally... 'Better', 'T.W.A.T' and 'IRS' ar as good as anything on UYI and AFD, except maybe the absolute top songs from those albums.

i just think axl sings every song the same

it's kind of annoying

there are some parts in the new songs that really sounds cool

i really dislike the drumming,

it's just if every song is drummed the same way

in my opinion the new songs aren't as good as anything released before

I desagree with you!!! I think that Chinese Democracy wont by like an AFD but the leaked songs are awsome at the same level as an UYI.

I think that the only big thing missing is called: SLASH...

I've said it before... those who are expecting a sequel to "Appetite For Destruction" are going to be disappointed.

Axl is in his 40's now... he has matured, and progressed as a musician. It is clear he is taking a different approach with this music, and I for one like it.

In short, thats why the old band no longer exists. Listen to Use Your Illusions 1 and 2, it is clear Axl wants to take the band in an entirely different direction from "AFD" and he did... ultimately leading to the band's demise. When you think about it, thats probably why Axl is hesistant to put this thing out... half the people who buy it are going to be expecting another "Appetite" when they're probably getting something closer to the Illusion era.

I like the new music, and I anxiously await its official release.

The old band could have handled all this material easily.

Ohmygodwhatadisaster

go fuck yourself.

whether or not the old band could have done this is irrelevant. the ex-members did not want to do this. They did not want to be here.

And just when you think its not possible, Axl recruited a group of musicans who are more talented than the guys they replaced. I saw it in 2002 when I saw the band. The whole world will see this after the album is released.

i don't expect another appetite or use your illusion III

i just wonder if the main public will buy an album like Chinese Democracy

of course its clear that the older you get the more you involve,

so it's clear well here different music then we used to.

i just think the songs would have come out better with the old guys

the drums are annoying me, just like the solo's of bucketfreak and fincky.

of course there are some really good parts in the songs,

but overall it doesn't blow me away.

i'm not impressed

axl didn't want to rock the hell out of slash's songs either

i think some soms of the first snakepit album could be killer if axl had worked on them

together the band could have created a great album

Bingo.

dont need him :rofl-lol:

Yes, the songs need Slash. I've said it before, I'll say it again; Slash & Axl can be successful on their own, but they are never better than when they are together.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I like the songs, but I feel like something is missing. And that something is Slash.

Bingo.

Slash didn't want to record these songs - he quit.

R.

I think these songs were not even written when he left. Plus, Axl's behaviour was decisive about his resignation.

Ohmygod probably was, and he was right not accepting to record it since it sucks.

Slash is obsolete and Axl has these new songs prove it.

Maybe because it took a decade to write them and to actually do something constructive??.............

When did having a double platinum record, successful tour, winning a grammy, and having the respect of your peers make you obsolete?

Either way you look at it, Slash did not want to do this. He did not want to stay in the band, he did not like the direction of the music. could he have played on these? I'm sure he could have done something to compliment these songs in their own way, but the bottom line is he wouldn't and won't. And that was a decision he made 10 years ago. I just dont see why this needs to be discussed over and over and over. he's gone, out of the band, he's not coming back, and thats ok. GNR will go on.
