Gambit83
Night Ranger, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, and Slash are just some of the artists to recruit guitarist Keri Kelli. Keri shares his path with us, including his version of what ended Slash's Snakepit...or did it?? He also talks about his time in Adler's Appetite, working with Gilby Clarke, new band "A New Revenge" with Tim "Ripper" Owens and his restaurant business, "Aces & Ales." Special co-host is Remco from Amsterdam. Free Bird
Can somebody summarize what he says about Snakepit?
WAR41
Really entertaining episode @Gambit83. Keri Kelli is another one of those guys who I could listen to tell stories for days. I didn't expect that! It seems that people like Brain, Keri, Alex Grossi, etc. who are frequently working with some one different anytime you talk to them first and foremost are outgoing and positive people. It makes sense to me, if I were Slash, Axl, Adler or whoever I'd only want to work with positive people who are fun to be around and don't create distractions. Last thing you need is a negative personality sucking up your attention for the wrong reasons when you're trying to focus on the work that you are the focal point of. Personal story about Snakepit 2, I had 2nd row tickets for the AC/DC tour for the sole purpose of seeing Snakepit. Slash got sick and then they dropped off the tour. I was devastated as it would have been my first time seeing a GNR member live.
smiley
I loved Keri in Snakepit... saw them twice in small venues... so close I couldn't even take pictures. Had Keri and Slash sign one of my guitars. Next time I'm in Vegas I plan to stop in his brewery and see if he's around. 1

I don't believe there were more than 200 people there. Definitely a departure from all the other Snakepit and Blues Ball shows I saw during that era -- which were generally packed to capacity in smaller venues. Say 1,000 or so. It was AWESOME to say the least. Very intimate. One of several times I met and talked with SLASH after a show. 1

TMAC20
Most Revealing thing I heard about Snakepit was Kelly talking about that recorded everything while rehearsing @slashs studio He said they had several songs and ideas still sitting around that weren’t used on anything that were recorded
