"Matt Sorum Hangs Out With Axl Rose In New York City". Headline from Blabbermouth.
From 2006.

Oh, The Velvet Rose is a novel, not an autobiography... That's actually pretty cool. I don't know why I thought it would be an autobiography.
Hope she has success with the book. Especially if she has worked on it for nine years.- 1

- I actually dug the handlebar mustache.
- My World should be a full song.
- The Seeker should stay on the setlist.

It was more like a series of events than a cohesive movie. But it was enjoyable. The actors were mostly good, especially the dude who played Tommy Lee. And the guy who played Ozzy was really spot on!
Would've worked better as a short mini series, because there was so much story to tell. It could've been pretty cool, but now it was like... okay, I guess.

Cool song. I liked Tenderness and I like this one. These songs aren't blowing my mind or anything, but I've always like Duff's solo stuff and his voice, so I guess I'm a bit biased. But yeah, I'm digging these, so fuck it.
It's cool that these songs differ from the Loaded stuff. It especially validates the "solo" moniker. And it's cool to hear this side of Duff, this Stones-y type of vibe. I'd like to think, or I'm hoping, that these songs work better when you hear the whole album from start to finish. -
Cool.
Just watched T2 last week. Such a great movie. The story, the music, the cinematography...Everything works. Especially on the extended version, which has a scene that perfectly explains why the Terminator is different in the second half of the movie.
Also, John's friend wears an L.A. Guns shirt on the movie. First time I noticed it. Was it too hard to get a Gn'R -shirt? (Not a diss at L.A. Guns.) The shot where the Terminator carries a shotgun concealed in a box of roses is a pretty nice nod, though.- 3

Well i thought tool may have a different reason to guns such as other bands being their priority. Is it maynard the issue?. I thought years and years ago he had a perfect circle as the priority but havnt kept up the news with that band.
They also had lengthy lawsuit that took quite a few years to settle.

All I can say is for the love of God I hope they don't call this CD II even if some of the songs are leftovers. I'm so tired of the almost 2 decade long debacle that has been CD that please put that to bed and start fresh.
They most probably will use some of the CD II material, but not in a million years would they call the album that

I did that on monday, so at least you're not alone.

I thought he said that in the old guns there was music written and he would then have to write around the music, and with CD era he wrote lyrics before the music, as well as having to write to pre-written music.
I don't remember him saying that, but that was a long chat
Ok, cool. I probably remembered it wrong then. It was a quite long chat

In that China Exchange interview Axl said he wants to do an album by starting with vocal melodies first and then writing the music around them. So, maybe that's what they are doing. Old melodies, new music.
It would let us hear what Axl has written during the years and still get freshly written material from Slash and Duff.
Pure speculation of course.

Still processing this one.

The story of Guns N' Roses is really complex. Their rise from the Sunset Strip, Illusions-tour, the break-up, the Chinese Democracy -era and the reunion.
One movie couldn't cover all that. I just don't see a Gn'R movie working. But a limited TV series inspired by the story of Guns could be cool. That way you could cover all the drama, excess and madness plus both the hard-edgeness and the softness of the band and their music.

First, a live package of NITL tour (with a possible 30-min behind the scenes documentary). After that, a new album.
Would be a no-brainer for any other band.

I actually have a feeling that there will be a new record. But it won't be out until 2020. Maybe they'll tour again on the summer of 2020 and have a new album out to promote the tour.
That's my own personal optimistic wish- 2

I think from the people who appeared on that album, Myles was the best choice in the long run. Even though I can't dig his high register voice. His lower register sounds good. But him and Slash and the other guys look and sound like a band. A bit generic band, but still.
But like many of you have already said: John Corabi. He's so good.- 1

Really douchey comment from Fernando.
He might run some aspects of the brand that is Guns N' Roses, but he doesn't have anything to do with the success they are enjoying these days.- 2

As much as I want new music, I doubt they perform anything new this year.
But still, a Guns show is still a Guns show. If 'no new music' is a deal-breaker, there is always the option of not going. I encourage anyone who are able to go, to go. They won't be here forever*.
*Who am I kidding, they will tour at least 10 more years.
