    The excerpt from her memoir:

    ____

I’ve never been a big metal fan, but my girlfriend Suzy from Queens was. She loved Poison, Ratt, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, all that shit. I was hanging with her in New York and she was really excited that Rikki Rachtman was importing his traveling metal club the Cat House to some New York venue that night, and she really wanted to go. Rachtman was a big deal at the time; a failed singer, he’d parlayed his friendship with various musicians into a gig hosting a metal-themed video block on MTV called Headbangers’ Ball. I had no idea about any of this shit.

Suzy was my manager’s secretary, Cuban extraction, a little on the zaftig side but still smoking hot by my estimation. Although I wasn’t into metal I was sure as hell still into nightlife. I thought it could be fun. She helped me dress the part by lending me one of her studded belts.

At the club, we were doing our thing, dancing, drinking. In the back of the room there was this table with a huge crowd around it: models and hangers-on, all gravitating around this incredibly good-looking guy with long red hair. I wanted that fucker, whoever he was.

I said to Suzy, “Man, he is gorgeous, who is that?”

Suzy said, “You don’t know who that is?”

    “No.”

“That’s Axl Rose. He’s the lead singer of Guns and Roses.”

    “OK.”

“You know, ‘Sweet Child of Mine’?”

    “OK.”

I had no idea what the fuck she was talking about. All I knew was that he was beautiful. Google some pictures of him from the Appetite For Destruction era. I’m not lying.

Once we got closer to the table he noticed me, too. He got to the point pretty quick. “Hey, you wanna party with me and Rikki?”

    “Sure, my girlfriend and I…”

“Not your girlfriend. She’s not hot.”

I was thinking, “Oh shit.” I didn’t feel great about abandoning my friend, but I fucking wanted this guy.

“Go find another girl, we’ll take some other girl but not your girlfriend.”

Fuck it. I said to Suzy, “I’m really sorry, Axl just wants me to go.” She was a pretty good sport about it, or maybe she knew she was about to dodge a bullet. When I got back to Axl, Rikki had found himself a nice looking model I’ll call B., and we were good to go.

We all went to the hotel where Axl and Rikki were sharing a suite. It wasn’t a rock and roll hotel, it was a pretty high-end place, near the Plaza. Could have been the Pierre. When we got to the suite there was a contingent of hangers-on hanging out, champagne, coke, all that, and Rikki has to play bad cop and clear all these leeches out. I asked Axl to point me to where I could freshen up.

I’m in his bathroom. And there’s all kinds of medication laid out on a towel by the sink. There’s lithium, there’s Adderall, there’s all this SHIT. Since this time a lot of Rose’s mental health issues have come to light, but back then his main problem as it was understood by the public was that he was a fucked-up rock star who did fucked-up rock-star things. Which is just a hair different from being a person on anti-psychotic meds, or whatever these were. On top of that, I’m thinking, he’s high on coke, on champagne, on Scotch. He’s very high. He’s a fucking time bomb.

In the bedroom, it’s the four of us, Axl, Rikki, B. So this is how it’s gonna go down, a little mini-orgy. Well, it wasn’t what I had in mind. And once Rikki’s clothes were off, I was looking at his cock and it was kind of on the massive side. Like potentially very uncomfortably massive. And I’m thinking, “I didn’t sign up for THIS.” I had not intended to fuck anyone except Axl. But soon B. is making out with Axl, and soon they’re fucking, and I’m going down on Rikki.

And NOW Rikki decides he wants me to go to another room with him. I throw on a robe. We don’t even get to Rikki’s room, and suddenly we hear screaming. And things being thrown.

Rikki knew what was up. He went white. He said to me, “You need to get your stuff and get out of here.”

“What do you mean, all my stuff is in there.”

“You don’t understand. It’s gonna get worse.”

In the other room I heard Axl screaming “You’re a fucking whore. Get the fuck out of here.” B. comes out of the room. The door of the bedroom’s open, I see a broken TV, and all this shit strewn all over. Axl stalks out of the room. Rikki is sitting in a chair in the main room all collapsed, just being a pussy.

And Axl sees me and says “What the FUCK are you doing back here.” He grabs me by the back of my hair and starts pulling me by the hair. And Rikki just looks at me. I’ve fallen to the floor and Axl’s dragging me across the floor. The carpet’s cutting my legs. And he throws me on the bed and picks up my pantyhose from off of the floor and ties my hands behind my back with them. I’m on the bed, on my stomach.

“Just fucking lay there. Don’t fucking do anything.” I’m crying and bleeding. Axl slams the door and locks it. The other girl is gone. Rikki’s in the other room. And I lay there. And he fucked me, anally. And I could handle it because he wasn’t too big.

Weirdly enough, I was okay with this. I had wanted to be with him since the minute I’d first laid eyes on him, and now I was getting him. Once he was done he untied me and we fucked around some more. I remember going down on him and sticking my finger in his ass and he really wanted that, he really got off on that. That’s what made him come. And when we were exhausted he got up next to me and spooned me, and started playing with my hair.

“Oh my God. I did so not want to do that. I’m so sorry. I did not want to hurt you, that shouldn’t have happened.” He went from being an absolute psycho to this spooning, mewling, apologetic child. I was so exhausted that I passed out. We both passed out. Then it was six or seven in the morning. I was awake and he was gone. Stuff was all over the place. Clothes. Belts. Broken bottles. The overturned TV. The maids were there. I was like “My fucking God. I’ve got to get out of here.” I got dressed as fast as I could and took a train back to Suzy’s. And she’s devastated because I forgot her favorite fucking studded belt. Can you believe it?

“You’re going back and getting it.”

“No fucking way. You don’t understand what happened.”

    “I don’t care.”

But I schlep back up to the Pierre. It’s the afternoon. They’re still cleaning the fucking room because it’s in such disarray. But in Axl’s bedroom, everything is made up. Clean as a whistle. And laying neatly atop the bed: Suzy’s belt. And I’m like, “Yeah.”

Axl was gone, by the way, because he had to go on Howard Stern that morning. That was the main reason he was in town. And he was late. Stern wasn’t having it. “I know you’re fucking rock star, but let me tell you something. Nobody is late for my show. So what the fuck were you doing last night?”

“I was with this Penthouse Pet and it just got crazy,” Axl answered.

    “Oh, did it now?”

    Sure did.

I never saw Axl again. But I saw Rikki. What’s fucked up is that we’ve kind of become friends, and stayed friends. As for Axl, he’s not in a great place now. There are a lot of people out there who want to see him burn in hell. I don’t feel that way about him, but I do feel in a way that he got everything he deserved. Or everything he asked for, whether he knew he was asking for it or not.

even in 2023 there's a thing called facts, you can deny them, doesn't mean they will disappear.

the whole "mainstream media & politics are lying to you" is always 100% an alt-right rhetoric, because they want you to believe their shit, to undermine democracy.

it works with people who think they're the ultimate rebels but they only alt right sheeps who can't decide for themselves what is true or not in the "mainstream" media.

Ha, exactly what I said above. Just like that, it’s either always 100% this or always 100% that. So anyone going "they are lying to you" is automatically a right wing lunatic (which then has to include me as well, that's funny), while anyone going "conspiracy theory bullshit" is absolutely fine and right, no discrepancy there at all.
You know, I’m already tired of this. Wish you good luck and all.

Why do people always jump to the conclusion that because you're not fond of a racist piece of shit and spreader of bullshit like Musk that you only "believe" what "politicians" and "mass media" tell you. I mean there's more than black and white, you know?

Oh I know that, believe you me. I’m just using the same absurd black-or-white nonsense as people when they use these "conspiracy theory" or "disinformation" boxes any time someone says something that disagrees with the current mainstream narrative, whatever it is. Don’t know anything about racism related to Musk, though – but this thread is already derailed anyway, so I don’t mind learning something new.
And btw, I’m definitely not rooting for that guy in general. These billionaires could literally change the world within months or a few years if they worked together (imagine the projects and movements they could work out for the benefit of the planet and mankind), and instead of that, they just sell overpriced shitty toys, keep making astronomical fortune, and occasionally donate some millions to charity just to look good and silence their own conscience. Is the way I see it. Ask Bezos and the likes.
    But other than that, well...

Right, thank god we have politicians and the mass media to tell us what the truth is. I mean, they’re here for us, aren’t they? And if you question that, you’re fucking crazy, hey hey.

I knew this thread would be fun.

  6. We know he still smoked - at least occasionally - cigars in 2006 and 2010, as we have photos. Idk if he keeps doing that, but an occasional cigar isn't the same thing as a pack of cigarettes a day. As for drinking, he definitely isn't an abstinent, but he's no drunk either (anymore). His throat mainly reflects wear and tear from the unnecessarily lengthy touring (plus age).

I think the lineup changes killed any chance of the video releasing. Why release a video with Finck, Bucket, and Brain when they were no longer in the band?

True, but they could have used the base, cut out the old guys and stick in the new ones. Most people care about Axl anyway. :)

Edit: Look at the Perhaps video. They only started soundchecking it a while back and yet managed to use the Duff bit where he's actually singing it - so it apparently didn't take that much time to prepare. After all, this stuff can be done when there's will and competent people are employed.

If I was interviewing Axl, it would go like this:

Me: What brings you out here tonight?

Axl: The excitement of F1 racing. It should be a lot of fun.

Me: Was the Me & My Elvis instrumental ever finished, with vocals?

Axl:  (after a pause) That one was, yes.

Me: Was that song Soul Monster?

Axl: No, Soul Monster became Monsters.

Me: Will we hear any of Robin's or Buckethead's parts in future GN'R releases?

Axl: You will hear them in bits, but Slash largely recorded over their parts. I hope to release the older mixes as alterative versions or as bonus material in the future.

Me: Was State Of Grace finished?

Axl: Yes, we have several mixes of that song we are happy with, but have not touched it in almost ten years. We need Slash to re-record Robin and Bucket's guitars, Duff the bass, and have Richard re-work his parts for that song before we can release it.

Me: I'm really excited to hear the rest of the Chinese Democracy era songs, they are my favorite.

Axl: We put a lot of work into that material.

Me: Do Zodiac and Berlin have vocals?

    Axl: Yes, Berlin became Ukraine.

Me: Very cool! Does Frank play drums on Hard Skool?

    Axl: Who is Frank?

Me: Thank you so much for your time, Axl!

    Axl: Take care!

Before splitting, I'd throw some monkey wrench in there: "Before we go, how's Fernando and Kat doing? ... Ok, nevermind."

    it was shit

It wasn’t that bad imo, plus they could have patched up something like Perhaps at any time, which apparently is successful. I think it was connected with that "delays – Merck – Axl distancing himself from it all" nonsense going on behind the release. Too bad they didn’t decide to maybe work on it some more and release it later – it still would have been viable and desirable during that 2010 run. Oh well.

Jokes aside, they have actually changed something in the lyrics (I'm surprised that no one has noticed/brought up yet).

Melissa and Duff didn't sing "that bitch is just insane" but something else, probably "that girl is just insane". Axl sometimes said "bitch", but it wasn't too audible (in the videos, at least) because the backing vocals were turned up in the live mix.

Well that's bad. I understand that OIAM isn't a part of newly pressed Lies CDs, but they should stick with the other lyrics, for god's sake. Otherwise they might as well wrap it all up.

The only coordinated campaign was to slander Amber Heard, which is why so many people fell for the pro-Depp narrative they pushed so heavily on social media. Louis CK exposing himself to women was "nothing"? Russell Brand being a horndog is the least surprising thing ever, you'd have to be indoctrinated into defending him because of his political views to even suggest otherwise. And it's proven by the completely opposite track you take with Fernando, whose allegations are just as credible as the names you mentioned.

I didn't know that stuff about Russell, so I may be wrong there, but we'll see. Louis did everything with the women's consent, so yeah, compare that with rock stars and groupies... He just jerked off in front of them. Morally bad perhaps, legally ok. Amber turned out to be a manipulative crazy turd liar, afaik. Again, too soon to make any serious conclusions, but the Nando stuff looks worse, and don't get me wrong, I'm definitely all for men getting appropriate justice when proven guilty. I know the women are right in most cases. That is not to say some don't misuse this stuff, but I wouldn't believe it in this case, as it wouldn't make sense. It fits on that little prick.

Well, in the case of RB it is not nothing. It is not a new case, only to the majority of the public, but goes back years. The first investigation team started seven years ago and by 2019 there had been reports by over 200 persons and two groups of women (one in the UK, one in the US) were working on a documentary which was ready for release when the pandemic hit and everything was put on hold. It gave his aggressive legal team plenty of time to act again (threats and hush money as in the years before). Knowing about the investigation also gave him plenty of time to "change his life around" and build his defense (becoming a family father and going all spiritual).

Me and a friend who lived with him and who was a in a long-term relationship with him when he just had his big break in the US have both been contacted by the investigation teams over the years. She was the first woman who reported him which ended up in the papers and his lawyers sued and certain details had to be removed from the public reporting. Something to do with the laws around libel which are different and especially strict in the UK.

The british public knew and also discussed that something wasn't right about him and that they wouldn't let their daughters only go near him but legally it's not that easy. He has money and is protected. His father in law is an OBE and he himself has meticulously built a network with the elites over the years. He also had a network of enablers, as the public could learn recently when people who have worked with him - for instance that woman from the BBC who was programmme director back in the day - even posted on Twitter that at the BBC "we all knew".

Not to take this thread off-topic and I will also not go any further into this as the police investigation is still ongoing but just to show that this case is somewhat bigger and very different from the one with Fernando now (and no, I am not defending him. I know nothing about what really happened there with him and KB. When I met him he was very kind, open and laid back. That's all I can say, all else is hearsay to me.)

Is that right? I did not know that about Russell, and I guess we’ll see when something transpires. If he did something, it definitely needs to be investigated. But for now, this, too, is really hearsay.
Anyway, as for Nando, it can definitely harm the band, so I hope they’ll figure it out.

  13. 8 hours ago, Scream of the Butterfly said:

Regardless of what I said earlier, I also think there's still a realistic possibility that Fernando will lose his job because of this. Not because Axl (or Slash or Duff) is going to side with Kat, but because Fernando's actions could be seen as hurting the band.

Think of Steven Adler. No one in the band had any moral high ground as far as drugs were concerned. That didn't stop them from firing Steven when his drug use reached the point where it was a hindrance to the band's operation. (Or so the story goes.) It's possible the same pragmatism still applies.

True, especially these days. Look at Louis CK or recently Russell Brand. Not everyone can afford such a public charade like Johnny Depp. These guys essentially did nothing (the RB case is still new, though, but I assume they're just trying to cancel him for his political views etc.), and yet there was a strong attempt to take them down. So it shouldn't be a problem in case of Merchnando, who most probably definitely did something, and a lot of it. Even though he's not famous. This is high profile sensitive shit these days, with a potential to shed a bad light on the band. And he needs to get what he deserves.
