I heard that someone ripped the song directly from the jukebox and is threatening to share it if its not out by friday

I think there might be more drama behind the scenes and that releasing an album or some songs is not really that easy for GNR. As a private person I would love all the village leaks to come out in a finished state, but if I was in charge of the label for sure I would rather have a complete new GNR song to promote that Slash and Duff helped write.

What if label is just interested in a new GNR song to promote and refuse to do some promotion for 20 year old touched up demos, but this is Axls will and therefore all the screw ups?

I think we make fuzz about the solo transition because we know Robin ålayed those two notes. If we heard the song for the first time we wouldnt have noticed this as any "glitch" Great song, i think some of the synth/strings have been reduced in chorus and can hear more piano in the building up

This was one of the most honest and best post on here lately. It seems like everone acts like some lunatics because of a single they didnt get, but was never officially announced. Hoping for an announcement monday/tuesday

My point was those 17 million streams are not generated by a handful fans on a message board. As you said yourself they have a huge following so with some kind of promotion a new song can triple that number

But that is songs from when they actually were the biggest band on the planet and songs that people have been familiar with for over 30 years

People here always claim that there are no interest of new GNR music outside of a few hundreds on this board, but Hard Skool almost without any promotion have almost 17 mill. plays on Spotify and I think was played regulary on rock radio. A little more promotion and a song that I think will win over the general public in a better way and it will gain way more plays on streaming and views on youtube (if a video is made, hopefully not just a lyric video)

I expect some heavy promotion in the coming week, the only reason to dela it for a week

No because there is no pre-save yet and its too late for that now, so either they changed tac tics and release on friday, but very strange if they ditched the pre order campaign

I said the day before that yesterday would be a big day. Not the news I was hoping for.... Do you think that there will be promotion leading up to the release and its too late now (for this week)

in addition to the pre-save for streaming there might be a pre-order for a physical format single/EP/Album, might be some hold-up there..

Its much better for publicity to have the studio track released first (or at the same time as the live version), as it will sound a lot better vocally
