  1. Izzy because I have never seen him live and in my opinion the chemisytry between him and Slash is unmatched.
  2. 72 Seasons definaetely isn't a flop.. The massive tour to support it just started too. And while not they hottest band they are still arguabley the biggest band. HardRock/Metal band anyway.
  3. I just don't think the general public cares about old demos with new guitar and bassd tracks pasted on them using 25 year old vocals.. It is avbsolutely ridiculous. I don't know anyone outside of this forum that didn't think them same. Then there is the fcat that the songs kind of sucked compared to their past catalopg.
  4. Now you sound ike a child just arguing for the sake of arguing.. You are high if you think 98% of the audience even knows those CD songs.. It is probably closer to 10% with most not giving a fuck about the solos or how inspiring Slash is during them. He is fine.. It is just the same 5 people that have been regurgittaing the same crap for 7 years now.
  5. Just watched some more videos from the show. Hats of to these guys.. They are usually pretty bad the first couple shows. Axl is usually pretty rough and they generally butchers songs they haven't played in a long time. This just wasn't the case. Axl definately rehearsed and really put some thought and work into what adjustments he could make to sound better. The added song selection of lower range songs and omitting little vocal part that may cause him to be out of breath were a couple things I noticed. Whether it be using the lower voice a bit more at times when he wouldn't Not to mention that this is the best shape he has probably been in since the reunion. That has to help his performance. They background vocals are assisting him at key points to help him out during times a little more. They slowed the tempo down for Nice Boys a bit and he sounded really good. I think he would have been out of breath otherwise. Looking forward to see how Rocket Queen evolves.. It seemed like they were trying to throw a Sympathy for the Devil jam in there which could be really cool. I actually thought the Fortus leads fit the song too. I was finally going to pass on a tour but pretty sure I am going now. Way to go boys \m/
  6. In the grand scheme of things, there are probably about two peopl in the audience that give a crap how Slash plays the Chinese Democracy solos..
  7. Just watched one of the whole song. The sound was pretty low but Axl sounded pretty good on it.
  8. It sounds like they are trying for a Sympathy For The Devil jam there.. That could be pretty cool if they iron it out a bit more.
  9. disagree. I was so relieved he stuck with the low voice. His high voice would have ruined the chorus for me. Would be very similar to the way he does Slither. He busted out the high voice at the end and it sounded bad. Save that shit for the ones he can sound good on like when he is beltimng Nightrrain Out... Or the end of It's So Easy and Nightrain. Yup.. I went to buy PIT tix for Boston last night. I ended up not getting them though after seeing the Live Nation fees were $140 fucking dollars PER TICKET.
  10. Saw Bad Obesssion, Pretty Tied Up and a Piece of Anything Goes.. Axl sounded great and rehearsed. The low regisrer voice nailing it. It was working the whole PTU.. Should stick with it at the end too. Can't wait to see the full Anything Goes, Down On The Farm and Nice Boys!! I have to admit Axl actually does look more fit too. Glad to see the elf boots gone!
  11. 80's or 90's. That song was always amazing live. They made it their own and it was Gn'R classic. Between they current live version and the UYI version on the radio the song has become lame as hell. The song would also benefit from Axls low voice in a major way. It could once again be a very powerful song.
  12. Agreed. The mix made it sound ok but he still sounded very much like Mickey Mouse. Another song he could benefit by using his lower register voice. It could be very powerful. But nope
  13. Holy shit.. So much raw fucking energy back then. Fucking sick.
  14. There most likely is no other solution. Most singers lose their voices as they age. What Axl used to do was almost unhuman. It is not a knock on him that he can't do it anymore.
  15. Except he doesn't have the ability anymore and he sounds terrible. I disagree and think it would be a welcome change. He gets ripped apart by most fans, casuals and is an easy target for haters. He still has some in the tank in short bursts and could still impress people with that. Like the End of Its So Easy, the "You know where the fuck you are parts of Jungle" , Nightrain chorus etc.. Just use it sparingly and it will go a long way. The mid range stuff has got to go like whatever he does during Sweet Child and Nov Rain.
