What do you think the chances are of having a scotland date?

Slim to non existant. Look at the tour plan. They might add second dates in certain cities. But they won't add other cities, as the plan simply doesn't allow it. They have traveldays between shows and don't play on the day they travel.

Look big dog, I'm not questioning anyone's fandom....apparently you are.   Have a good day :)

Hmm. Touched a nerve there? Only you know wether I'm talking about you, but I'm surely talking about the majority of the 2 mio. people, who bought tickets so far.

The way I look at it is imagine the money you would have spent seeing them say 15 times between '93-'16 if they hadn't broken up.  Would easily exceed the $300-$400-$500 that one will spend for a show next summer.  We are coming out way ahead here.

Well, some of us did see Axl, Duff and Slash 15 times between '93-'16. ;-)

Now, don't go spending money on GnR tix instead of feeding your kids or anything stupid like that.

Yes. But it shouldn't be a choice between feeding your kids or going to a rock show. That's the whole point. Both should be possible.

I always thought the high ticket prices are a result of playing in a stadium. Like maybe there was some sort of "booking fee" to book the stadium.

Yes. There is a booking fee, but it is also 3 times as much people. So really. Tickets should be cheaper, if anything.

sorry, but that's life...why are you so fucking entitled?  I know that sounds harsh, but that's how you come off man, I'm really not trying to offend you here.

Why? Because without us, there is no show. We, the fans make it all possible. And yet we are being taken advantage off and bled dry. And it's especially inconsiderate to the people who stuck with them through all the years. The people, who didn't check out in '93 or '96, but continued to attend and buy whatever they did the past 20 years. I say fuck those, that left in '93 and now suddenly are back because, the "big" 3 are back together. Where were they? It's people like them, who also make it possible that they can get away with those outragous ticket prices.

Guys. You all keep telling me why the prices are so high. I already know why, because they can. That's not what my post was about. I'm expressing my annoyance at the prices and was encouraging a discussion of whether or not the high cost has effected any of you as well, along with the iconsiderate 5 day warning of when they're going on sale, especially given the time of year.

Yes. It does. I'm not going to see as many shows as I otherwise would have. I'm not going to the closest show to where I live, because I refuse to pay 210 € for a fucking standing ticket, while they also sell early entry tickets for 450 €, which means that don't have a shot at getting to the front row.

don't bitch about this now, this has been the method of selling tickets for GnR since basically 2006, not their fault that theres huge demand again, what made you think this batch of tickets would be different from the start of the NITL tour? they're not a club band anymore, they're a legacy act that makes more money than 3rd world countries.

Well. Actually they only do this since the reunion, which makes it even more disgusting and really puts a damper on this "reunion" tour.

... Street of Dreams? Or TWAT or Prostitute? Or even Shackler's. Those are the highlights for me on CD, and not the songs they're currently playing.

Because all 3 suck. TWAT is only good on CD, as he doesn't cut it live. And Shackler's is an aquired taste, but all the electronical crap pretty much ruins the song. The one song they kinda should do is Madgascar.

Would you do that if you were in Brian's place?  I sure as hell wouldn't.

It depends. It's better than nothing isn't? Especially if his doctor forbids him to do further live shows. The question is, whether Angus would want that, having one guy sing on the album and another do the shows.

    4 hours ago, Mark1989 said:

I think its all about what Axl wants. Angus will no doubt want him to stay on for Album and tours. He cannot front both ACDC and GnR. I don't think he will be able to leave GnR and rightly so imo.

Who says that he can't. GNR have breaks, AC/DC has breaks. The question is, whether Axl needs those breaks or whether he would be fine with shorter breaks. What else does he do, when he's not touring with GNR?

I think it might be a real problem for Axl if Brian doesn't come back and ACDC decide to carry on with another singer.

I can't see Axl taking that well at all, probably would send him into a depression again.

That's the thing that worries me most about him getting so into being in ACDC and him saying he wants in if Brian doesn't come back.

Hm, yes. That's a scenario I could see too... if it is not well presented/explained to him why the may choose to go forward with someone else. Like a press release of AC/DC in a couple of months saying, they will release an album with this or that singer, without having talked Axl first. But then again, there should be no reason, why Brian couldn't sing on a future AC/DC Album, with Axl handling the live duties again. It will be interesting to see, how that unfolds.

Ye... I don't know... Haha... It's so bad that kind of thing still exists in 2016 <_<

I just googled his name and the only thing that came out was this: "Andrew Gillot is a music promoter and producer from Los Angeles, CA. He has worked with Lana Del Rey on various projects."

And then I found this story that matches pretty much all of the speculation that we've done here but he denied everything.

    http://www.radiometal.com/en/article/behind-the-scenes-the-other-axl-rose,78375

    Well, there is another one....

    Andrei Gillott

I am in the business of taking peoples money and promising them tickets and other services, but just keeping the money. It is a blast!  You should check my website http://andreigillott.com/ for more info!

    https://andreigillott.wordpress.com/

Seems like he pissed off someone pretty bad.... but he's got the pictures to proof that he's not only smokes and mirrors, so maybe someone is just jealous.

Cool, thanks for the info Patrick. So would only need to be there at 7pm for Düsseldorf? That's better than I expected.

edit that's rubbish. Show starts at 7pm. So 3-4pm really?

Yes. I guess they would open the doors at 4pm or 5pm. In Germany they usually open 2 or 3 hours before. Check the Promoter's Facebook. Like I said, if you are there when they open the doors (or reasonably after), you should be fine... even if you're not at the front of the people queueing to get in.

Hi guys, how early does one need to arrive at the venue to guarantee one of the wrist bands for the inner circle section?

Attending the show next week and reckon it would add to the experience being close up. Also do they get handed to you as you enter or could you go away and come back again? Not sure I want to be in the arena with an eight hour wait either :( Especially as my time in Germany will be limited.

Or alternatively what has people's experience been at these shows standing further back?

The stage is high and the catwalk is high and reaches far back. So you can have a good view from many spots (especially in the front section). Of course, personally I never would want to stand in the back. The inner circle section is first come first serve. Once you're in, you get a wristband when you walk out, so you can go back in again. I can't tell you how long it takes, until they don't let anyone in anymore. If you want to be safe, I suggest that you're there, when they open the doors, which usually is 2 or 3 hours before the support is supposed to start. If you're up for a little risk, I would say that you can wait up to an hour and a half after they opened the doors. But if I were you, I'd go for safe and just make sure to be there, when they open the doors. There was a huge crowd waiting in London. There was a relatively small crowd waiting in Bern.

Sorry, I never heard of thsi Andrei guy before. What's the story with him? Why is he part of the Axl entourage?

He gives good BJs? Sorry. LOL I have no idea. He's listed as a producer for Lana Del Ray and apparantly he's friends with Fernando. The first time I saw him was at the GNR Mallorca show in 2012. He was standing right in front of us in the pit between stage and audience when he escorted some german celebrities kids in and he keeps popping up on GNR related pictures time and time again.... until April, when I saw him at the Troubadour, I thought that he was Fernando.

Agreed 100%. I'll also add that Brian is 15 years older than Axl.

While I agree with the fact that the thread is crap and needs to go, but with all fairness to the OP, the video he posted is from 15 years ago. ;)

Well it's a nod to a guy who's been forced into retirement, and it's a nod to the fans of the band that are disappointed that Brian isn't there.

Axl has given Brian a nod simply by singing his music with respect and acknowledging how great a singer Brian was and what a challenge it us to sing a lot if his songs.

And yes, these gigs are for the money and the fans (that order),still nothing g wrong with tipi g the cap to Brian... seen as he was the lead si Ger for 36yrs, and he didn't leave on bad terms.

And yet the shows are still not for Brian, so no need to say they are. ;-) He said that him joining the band is no reason to celebrate, because of Brian's circumstance. That's nod enough.

  18. 21 hours ago, Tom2112 said:

Dave would go up and say "this is for Brian" etc. But Axl obviously isn't doing that.

Why would anyone say that? How cheesy would that be? What does it mean anyway? It is not for Brian. It's for the fans... for AC/DC.... their crew. To finish the tour. The douche really shouldn't dictate what others should say.
