I can't imagine the band makes much money off the singles/EPs, but even then I'm guessing most people here have paid for at least some of the stuff they've released since 2018. The point of musicians releasing music is that fans enjoy it and they enjoy performing it. They all know they're not gonna make tons of money from one-off singles. I rarely pay for digital music, but I bought Absurd the second it was out because of course I'm gonna spend the $1 on the first single in 13 years. Downloaded Hardschool for free then bought the CD and vinyl as soon as they were available, and will do the same for Perhaps. I don't use spotify and I have no problem downloading an album for free because if it's good, I'll spend $30-40 on the vinyl. I have bought a few digital EPs lately though.

I'm not holding my breath, but there's still a chance they release it in US Eastern time and not by earlier time zones, like they did with Absurd. So, it could release in a bit over 12 hours from now, then at Hershey Axl says something like 'we released a new song today, perhaps we'll play it...' I doubt they'd play it at Hershey then release it after, because why would they release it on a Saturday morning, so if it isn't out before the Hershey show then we'll do this all again next week...

I don't know if it's frustration from Perhaps not being released, but there's been some weird arguments on here recently. Hopefully we didn't misread each other's tone, I didn't intend to call you out and I usually like your posts but it seems like you've been picking fights lately. I look forward to your posts on Friday

Just to be clear, I don't have any issue with you. But maybe it seems like over the last couple weeks people have been aggressive because you've kinda taken the Pele role, which is obviously gonna stir shit up, especially when it seems like we're close to a new single. I get the skepticism, I started the Perhaps thread and I'll admit it's still not a sure thing until we actually hear the song. But it seems like you're carrying on arguments and being more aggressive than the people you're arguing with. And it's not just you, it seems like several people here have been more bitchy than usual over the last month or so... idk, just let some shit go man, don't get yourself banned.

Get over yourself man, you're not a villain you're just being an asshole. Of course I'm not gonna complain about you or pele or the other 'skeptical' posters because you have a valid opinion, but you're the one going around starting arguments, calling people aggressive and being a dick. There's no need to be dramatic with the I'll get kicked out of here soon too shit.

They're probably engineering/editing notes or something that would indicate a specific version of the song. Why would L mean lyrics when he wrote lyr after Monstrocity, or V means vocals if he wrote sing after 4 Heaven's? Do people really think he still intended to write more lyrics for Atlas in 2008? Where does ??L editing V fit into that?

Yea Glasto was as close to the studio version as they've played in a long time. I like the piano in the middle but it does kinda feel out of place, might work better as an intro, and I really don't think RQ needs to be a 10-minute song... -

They did play Rocket Queen at Glastonbury, and it was one of the best performances of the reunion! No long jam in the middle, Axl's mickey verses were buried in the mix, and the outro sounded good. -

I'm the opposite, we're getting AIC in Vancouver but I'd rather have The Warning or Dirty Honey. I like AIC but I've seen them open a few GNR shows, so it kinda feels repetitive. -
There's some questionable vocal choices on songs like Prostitute, Sorry, etc. but none of the vocals in TWAT ever seemed like placeholder to me. State Of Grace is in an interesting spot because there's complete lyrics, but it's got by far the roughest vocals we've heard (obviously not counting Nothing or Quick Song). If that song is ever released, I think unfortunately the most likely outcome is we'll hear the same vocal take but it will be edited/manipulated to fit the song slightly better.
