  1. Some songs can really use a good amount of crunch. Thinking this could be one of them. Hoping for some good saturation and delay
  2. I’ll take the eBay price for the convenience, sometimes. The best was Detroit 2021. I drove down in the morning when the merch truck opened, got the litho, then drove it home and put it inside. All hours before the show
  3. Sounded like Slash did a few flourishes under the main solo
  4. I have no self control and just ordered a Boston litho on eBay
  5. Thanks for the responses, everyone! I totally get that hearing everything does not equal balance, but I’d take the mix for HS over some other “modern” releases like A Different Kind of Truth, Death Magnetic (the other two have been better). Those are what I think of when I think of brick walled Then again, I am apparently in the minority and think Chinese’s 2008 final version is a great sounding album
  6. HS is loud, I’ll give you that, but to me it’s pretty balanced so I can just turn it down I get they’re pretty modern sounding production- wise (funny for such old songs) and have a good amount of compression, but I think they sound pretty good. I crank HS and everything’s clear for me
  7. So many people rip on the mix for HS and I just don’t get it. Every instrument is clear and balanced, the guitars are nice and punchy, and the bass actually sounds decent and brings out the vocals and guitar. I get the drums sound a little “programmy”, and the originals were better, but that aside, wtf? I thought all 3 reunion singles sound pretty good (mix and tone wise)
  8. God dammit it grew on me because I like green. Just ordered one from eBay
  9. Fear Inoculum has some of my favorite production for a metal record. It’s fantastic
  10. HOB 2001 Rio 2002 Boston 2002 Hammerstein 2006/Izzy Rock Am Ring 2006 UK 2006 Japan 2007 Chinese Democracy release Asia 2009 Canada 2010 South America 2010 UK 2010 with Duff
  11. Hype was at 100 for those 2009 and early 2010 shows. This was peak for me excitement wise. Just started college
  12. I’ve seen Slash 10+ times with various projects, 6 of those with GNR, and his tones still always been killer
  13. Perhaps was great to get live at the Fenway show for me. Considering our desire for new songs for decades, the leak sagas, etc, it was an absolute treat for me to get that and Hard Skool live, in- person He does struggle with parts of it, but I’m glad I heard him sing the full chorus. That is just a total Axl part, so it’d be a shame to have him skip it
  14. Hard Skool for sure. Sounds like a proper Guns N’ Roses song in its final form. Perhaps, I can see the case for liking the demo more, but I think the final edges it out for me a bit. Those songs benefit from being played more like a classic GNR tunes with Slash and Duff The General, idk. Maybe that will have been better with NuGNR since it apparently had all the epic orchestra and hip hop beats. Either way, I’m just happy it’s coming out
